I was so happy to see that a new place opened up just down the street. Just went for lunch and I was extremely pleased. The place is already so lovely and the decor isn’t fully complete yet. The food was so reasonably priced and tasted very good! Lots of sauce packet options. Staff was very friendly and helpful! Will definitely come here again and tell all my friends about it!!

What a great new place on the south side!! Everything has been freshly remodeled and is very clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful in explaining the menu. I had a chicken skin BLT, which was new to me and it was great.

This place is great! My office is nearby and I am thrilled to have a healthy lunch spot. I’ve had the gyro (Merion Village) and the house salad with grilled chicken (pictured). Both were awesome and made to order. Great coffee options too for midday pick-me-ups! I highly recommend. Fast, healthy, affordable and the workers are so nice.

The owner was super nice. Place is very clean and designed tastefully. Easy place to get a quick and cheap iced coffee. I also had a fried chicken sandwich that was great! Tots were awesome too. So glad this place opened up close by and will definitely be going back as they have a pretty wide menu selection with lots of options. They also have a nice patio area out front.

Amazing American Fast Food Alternative! First I can’t say anything but positives for the staff here. I’ve been multiple times and they are always friendly, cheerful and positive! The food is very good and such a great alternative to the traditional fast food options. A wonderful addition to the neighborhood. Next time you are grabbing fast food, give them a try instead of the old boring chains.

The restaurant boasts a clean environment, however, the staff failed to provide any recommendations or insights about the menu. Additionally, being located in Merion Village gives off a rather old-fashioned atmosphere. The concept of the restaurant seems to have originated from a combination of a café and Starbucks, but unfortunately, the breakfast options were mediocre. On a positive note, the salad offered a unique and distinct taste. Despite sharing a picture below, I personally do not foresee myself returning to this establishment.

We got 6 of the gyros (merion village) @ $8.49 ea. They were NASTY. The lamb was very small, thin cut, frozen processed meat. Looked and taste like boxed meat from GFS. Lots of peppers, tomatoes and fetta cheese. Definitely not worth the cost. I ordered garlic parmesan chicken wings and received 5 tiny wings for $5.99. They were over cooked and bland. 1 order of onion rings, 5 rings for $2.99😮 Basic flavor , nothing special. 1 order of fries $2.99 again over cooked and bland. 1 order of tater tots $2.99 decent flavor kids liked them. 1 order of chicken tender (3) roughly $6 Breading decent flavor. With tip we spent $86 for 4 adults 3 kids. I love the look of dining room. The beautiful ladys working front counter were very pleasant. Very disappointed with the quality and quantity of the food. I will not return.

We were glad to stop for coffee and breakfast on our way down south. This cafe has all the makings of something great! Clean and friendly service. They can make just about any coffee beverage your heart desires. I agree with the other reviews that the menu options are a bit overwhelming and expect they will streamline it once they know what the customers like most. The breakfast bagel - chefs choice- with egg is what I had and it was delicious. Arugula on a bagel sandwich was definitely a nice surprise and tasted great. The Illiy coffee was good and a drinkable temperature instead of boiling hot. This was welcomed as most coffee shops keep their coffee so hot it needs time to cool before you can enjoy it. Thanks for thinking of this. :) overall a great experience and the passion of starting a different kind of coffee shop comes through. Definitely recommend this cafe if you are looking for a nice bite to eat and good cup of coffee or espresso beverage.

We came to Star Kitchen twice in the last two days. Both times were phenomenal. It’s a cute little cafe type place with a range of food. The first day we came, we ordered the bbq fried chicken wrap, the lemon chicken soup and a chicken skin blt. The chicken in the wrap is so crispy, and the wrap itself was quality. The soup was hot, full of chicken chunks, and with a little extra salt, it hit the spot. Never had chicken skin on a sandwich before but it was delicious! We returned again today because we loved it so much and had an equally awesome experience. We ordered the fried chicken gyro, the chicken little wrap with onion rings and the loaded potato soup. The gyro was overflowing with goodness, the chicken little was delicious, the ranch had good flavor, the chicken was hot and fresh, and the soup, with a little extra salt, was hot and good. The onion rings were battered and weren’t too thick, so they didn’t slide out like some do - they had the perfect bite. Both times the place was clean, the service was quick and friendly. The prices felt fair and affordable compared to some. We also got free pastries from the owner/manager! So lucky to have this place in our neighborhood.

The Merion village gyro was so good! The slices of meat are thick soft and so ful of flavor. The best gyro I have ever had! You can tell the onion rings are fresh and made in house compared to other places!
