Definitely getting your money's worth on the platters. Well seasoned shrimp, and the rice was a bit addicting, if you're a rice lover. I couldn't stop eating it and the portion you're given is a set up for a serious work out after eating this guilty pleasure. Check out the pics and hit 'Like' if you tried these dishes or would like to try it. I'll add more comments.

Great counter service food; the boss brought me a complimentary baklava at the end. I highly recommend Lavash! Come hungry!

We visited Lavash as a recommendation from a co worker. They did not disappoint. I want to point out that we were a big party of 8 on a late Thursday evening. I was kind of worried about orders getting mixed up. Again, Lavash did not disappoint. They got everyone's orders correct and the service was quick. We ordered so much. First, the presentation of the food was exquisite. Everything looked gorgeous. The food was great and I had room for dessert. Everyone in our party was impressed. You can dine in and also pick up. They were busy but tended to our needs. I will definitely return with my family.

Super quick service, good atmosphere and unbelievably good food. Huge portion sizes. I got the Gyro Entree and it was out to me within about 2 minutes. It has easily a pound of meat, 4 pitas, a side salad and delicious tzatziki sauce. I couldn't finish the whole thing.

I was recommended this Mediterranean restaurant and had to give it a try. The food and quality service did not disappoint. We enjoyed a lamb and falafel gyro accompanied by fresh fries. Aside from the delicious flavors, I was impressed by the beautiful plating and warm ambience of the restaurant. It was nice that the owner checked in on us multiple times. As a plus there is a spacious parking lot behind the restaurant. Recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a good Mediterranean meal.

Food is really good. Baklava is amazing. Very fast paced, and you feel a little rushed when ordering. It's VERY loud. We went on a Saturday night, maybe it's different on other days. The dining room & atmosphere are okay, wish the seating was set up differently. Restaurant definitely needs a little updating. If you've never been there before, You're kinda supposed to figure it out for yourself, I guess. Because they are way too busy. If I lived close, I would order online and pick up....instead of eating inside.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! 100/10 recommend. We got the combo for 2 with a shrimp skewer and every bite got better and better. The workers are delightful, quick, and provide great quality service. They were helpful in recommending items and even though I was full to brim…. I had to leave with some desserts. Can’t wait to come back!

Great hummus, tabbouleh and pita. We went for lunch for my friend’s birthday. She had the gyro dinner and I had the shrimp kebab sandwich. Both were plentiful. Attached are pics of both. What is not shown is the Lavash combo and chicken kafta that our husbands had. My shrimp was huge and juicy. She had a huge serving of gyro meat! My husband also had some fries that were HOT, golden brown and delicious!

Reasonable prices, and phenomenal authentic middle eastern food. Went for lunch and ordered the humus which was perfectly creamy / flavorful. I ordered the lamb masoaka special, and the SO got a kabob. Our friend got the chicken shawarma. Rice was surprisingly good. The food is ON POINT in its authenticity. Definitely worth a stop. 4.8/5 stars

We’ve been coming here a lot lately simply to get salads. The low carb salad with chicken kabob is great! The owner is very friendly and will check on you. If they’re busy and something goes amiss with your order he’ll be sure to set things right. They also have delicious desserts!

Family owned with chefs from Lebanon and Israel—the best Mediterranean fare in the city. Fresh, made-in-house ingredients, savory flavors and healthy options. The Baba Ghanoush with veggies, homemade tzatziki and gyros are incredible!

Not a fan of either the non-authentic food or the ridiculous over-inflated prices. A $12 Greek salad with “house dressing” that appeared to be Wishbone salad dressing brand that I can buy at the grocery store, made up of mostly lettuce, 3 slices of cucumber, 3 grape tomatoes, some red onion, and 3 olives still with pits, oh and a bakers teaspoon of feta. Ridiculously overpriced and not even authentic or any good! Let’s move on to the $11 chicken kabob wrap with a tahini sauce. Um still hungry and it didn’t taste Mediterranean, or Lebanese, or Greek! Totally not worth it. Daughter ordered the kabob entree for $20. Most of her plate was made of yellow rice from a box, and not even the authentic kind that had slivered almonds in it. The kabob didn’t have any taste that would make you think this is Mediterranean cuisine. Pita was warm when it arrived and within a few seconds hard and chewy…microwaved maybe? Salad that accompanied it was sparse. My Daughter said, “ well now you know.” Yep $45 for 2 people and we’re still hungry… never again!!! Soo many better that are FAR more authentic Mediterranean than this one. Edit to respond to the restaurant’s claim that their high prices = quality ingredients: that response is laughable when the whole point of this post was that they use grocery store wishbone dressing for their “house dressing” with a supposed “Greek salad” which is mostly lettuce and practically no feta for $12. Secondly they use something that tastes like uncle ben’s rice for their $20 entree which is mostly rice. Far better food and quantity for the same price at other restaurants.

Amazing 10/10 place, I dropped by when I was spending the weekend in Columbus and was craving shawarma, I was very presently surprised with quality of the food, the shawarma tasted great and the fries were very good. The staff were very friendly, the owner came by our table and he gave us some free hummus to try which was very good. I would highly recommend trying this place out.

Honestly, one of the best places to eat at in Columbus, OH! If you are passing through or if you are a local, you have to go to Lavash. The food is amazing and the spices are layered to perfection. The garlic sauce is amazing! Besides the food, it is the people working there that make the restaurant such an amazing place. The owners are genuine, hard-working, and down to earth individuals who will do their utmost to make your experience be amazing!

One of the best if not the best Mediterranean restaurants in town. The staff is super helpful and accommodating. Food is absolutely delicious. Ambience is nice. Ample of space. Centrally located near OSU campus and easy to spot from the main road. Note to Owner: The back room for eating doesn't have the same ambience as main hall and needs work.

Great food especially when you eat it there! We had the hummus platter, fish and chips, falafels and a chocolate mousse cheesecake. The food was excellent. It is priced on the higher side, like $9 for a dessert, but it was well worth it to treat ourselves. 😀

LOVE this place. Been going here for almost 8 years and the food is delicious every time. Back when dine in was an option, the owner personally would come and check on you and makes sure everything is perfect. With COVID now, my family will order take out and the food is just as good at home as in the restaurant. Everything is flavorful, cooked perfectly, and the portions are great. They also treat their employees well as if they were family and give back to the community.

Lavash Cafe is hands down some of the best food experiences I’ve had. Every time I go to Columbus or know people going to Columbus, I immediately go or tell others to go to Lavash to get a kebab and garlic sauce fix. The quality of the food is incredible, and you can tell each dish is made thoughtfully and fresh. Don’t get me started on their home made hot sauce, I literally put it on everything. The customer service there is also amazing, some of the nicest people and so helpful when I say I’m allergic to certain nuts. The desserts are like a French pastry chef comes in from their Michelin rated bakery and makes them, they are so good. Coffee cheesecake with a light fresh chocolate swirl? How can I say no?? Probably the only thing I don’t put their hot sauce on though (it would probably still all be so tasty). I can go on and on, but from years of going to Lavash I’ve never had a bad experience. I highly recommend this place for anyone with any type of dietary restrictions, want to eat healthy, and make your wallet happy. You won’t be disappointed!!

Lavash is a wonderful pillar of the Clintonville business district. The food is fresh, delicious and just about everything is made in house from the hummus to the garlic sauce. Not to mention all the wonderful vegan options! Having been an employee and a customer I would recommend Lavash for anything from a casual lunch to a big family dinner.

I am a regular customer here and the service/food is ALWAYS incredible which is why I keep coming back. Doesn’t really matter what you order because it’s all delicious, but My favorites are their lamb chops and chicken keifta. If you like spicy food, I highly recommend trying their homemade hot sauce 😍! It has a nice blend of flavor and heat! My mother pretty much lives off of their house blend coffee ☕️! The fresh hummus and peta are easily the best I ever had! The deserts are insanely good too (carrot cake, baklava, and rice pudding are my fav). And on top of all that the staff are super friendly and keep the place spotless. What is there really left to say! You can thank me later! 😏

Lavash has always and will always be a Columbus staple. It's the go-to mediterranean restaurant my family has frequented for more than a decade, whether for a special occasion or a quick lunch. Absolute favorite is the mixed grill platter to get a taste of everything (and has enough to go around for my family of 7), but if you aren't going with a big group I recommend the chicken shawerma with a side of hummus and fattoush. I recently moved from Columbus and Lavash is definitely the #1 restaurant I am missing!

Stopped to try turkish coffee after driving 2 hrs from home for an appointment, and ended up getting more than planned. No regrets. It was fresh. The establishment was clean. Staff was prompt and polite. I could have easily stayed and ate all day if my wallet and time would have allowed. The prices were fantastic for the portions and taste. I wasn't able to get a photo of the chocolate mousse cheesecake or baklava because they were eaten quickly.

  • 5/5 edo t. 3 years ago on Google
Absolutely the best Mediterranean in town! I have had every item off their menu and everything is spot on. I highly recommend family platters as you will get to taste a little bit of everything. On Fridays, their mansaf is a must....and you can never go wrong with their red snapper! Finish off with carrot cake or chocolate mousse and Turkish coffee! Aghhh! Enjoy, and thank me later! :)

By far the best authentic Mediterranean food in Columbus. Their food is consistently delicious, their employees are super friendly, and they are always giving back to the Clintonville community. Lavash is my go-to restaurant when I want a warm, filling meal made with high-quality ingredients! Everything on the menu is great but I particularly love the chicken shawarma sandwich with a side of fries and black bean hummus.

  • 3/5 Dan L. 8 months ago on Google
Food is tasty but the portions are kind of a joke for the price. $16 for a falafel plate made me miss the $8 ones at my bodega in Brooklyn Edit - after the restaurant responded that’s a cop out from them. It’s a nice spot but I wouldn’t call it a dining experience. You could have one less person working behind the counter where it looked like you had a dozen people and make falafels that are regular sized and enough so that I didn’t have to go buy more food after. The meal is listed as gluten free but comes with a pita, not gluten free. I asked if I could sub it for something else that was gluten free and got turned down or told I could buy fries for $6. People should be able to be full for $20 these days. Falafel shouldn’t be a premium gluten free item it’s naturally gluten free when made properly with chickpea flour. If you want an experience and bomb food go see my guy Carlos at the corner of Graham and Scholes in Williamsburg you could be crushed by the plate he serves you and it’s better than this spot that claims to be a level above. Downgrading to 3.

  • 3/5 Gee B. 3 years ago on Google
Staff was great, location great. However, while the portion was more than ample the gyro was tasteless, lacking flavor and was really just meat and bread. This was my one and only time at this restaurant so I really do not intend to bash them in case of a bad day. The food just wasn't great on this day.

  • 5/5 Jordan L. 3 years ago on Google

Great food! Ordered takeout and it arrived promptly. The staff were wearing gloves and everything was wrapped and clean. Great place, will go again in the future!

  • 5/5 Ben O. 3 years ago on Google
Lavash is AMAZING! I usually get the chicken shawarma which comes with a killer garlic sauce. We always get a large spicy black bean hummus with pita to eat though out the week. It usually always lasts only 3 days. I can't even begin to describe how good it is. I highly recommend trying them out. Hopefully once covid passes you can go in, because by the counter sits a display of countless desserts. Once you see those you know what you're in for.

The food can be very good one day and the other day it can be very bad. I had great experiences at this restaurant and have enjoyed their food. I realized that over the time their quality has gone down and they have been rushing the orders. I ordered chicken shawarma and beef and lamb shawarma for the whole family yesterday and it was a mess. The food was cold upon arrival, it had no taste. I asked them to make it well-fine and it wasn’t. Read wasn’t fresh either and i couldn’t sleep after eating the food. We had to throw everything in the trash. They didn’t follow any instructions I asked them to follow. They rushed the order and it’s was a total waste of my money and time.

  • 5/5 Kerric 3 years ago on Google
Very good shawarma. Generous portion and meat was juicy and flavorful. I was thinking I might not like the garlic sauce but it was good. I wasn’t a fan of the bread in the “bag of bread” but that’s probably because I’m used to Greek pita. It was just a bit too heavy for me. I will recommend this to my whole family.

Where do you go with people who are meat eaters, vegans, and have religious constraints on some food? Lavash of course. Although, my favorite is getting a tray of desserts and coffee.

If I ever visit Columbus again, I will absolutely return to Lavash. Best gyros in the Midwest. Cheesecakes rival Cheesecake Factory and my son said the baklava is the best he has had. The owner Nasir warmly greets all guests and is particularly kind to children… never have been treated like this at any restaurant ever by the owner.

I ordered the chicken shawarma sandwich with the garlic sauce. It was delicious! I was pleasantly surprised when I got my plate and it had lift (pickled turnips) and pickles adorning the sandwich. I missed seeing the fries on the menu until after I had ordered but will definitely get some next time. I saw a few other patrons eating them and they looked perfect. Looking forward to eating here again. That picture says it all!

Loved my experience here at Lavash cafe👌🏼Went here for lunch and ordered Lentil soup,Shawarma Sandwich (Chicken and if you want Lamb+Beef it’s extra $1),Chicken Shawarma with tahini/garlic sauce. It comes with Basmati rice which was so good. Lamb chops in entrees which was so damnnn perfect, this one’s my fav from this place. They also have few varieties of Baklava and other desserts one should definitely try em. A well maintained and friendly staff. Added few pictures from this place.........

We tried the chicken, mence lamb and kefta. Kefta was spicy with some aromatic herbs we hadn’t try before. So if you are looking for something that tastes more neutral, go with the chicken or mence lamb. The staff were super friendly and caring and gifted us some baklava. The price was a bit high for the type of food and location but the experience worths it.

Establishment was very clean! Staff was friendly and helpful. Owner walked the dining area to check on patrons, which was so nice! The food was very good! If you’re looking for a whole food, fresh food option, this is your place…you won’t be disappointed. You can get a well balanced meal, that’s flavorful, fresh and nutritious. I ordered the Kefta entree which came with yellow basmati rice and a side salad (the vinegrette dressing was so tasty, perfect balance with the meal). I love hummus and ordered a small side to enjoy with my Kefta. The yogurt and spicy sauces are yummy and the Kefta (beef and lamb mixed) was seasoned to perfection. You won’t go wrong for lunch or dinner here. Well worth the money and I would highly recommend this place.
