As a Class A General Contractor, I've been dealing with Tart Lumber for over 10 years now. The staff is generally good, though I definitely have my favorites. Pricing is good, and deliveries typically happen right on time. Now that I'm doing larger projects, I just send the blueprints to them (electronically), and they figure out the materials list. That's a nice service that saves me time, and increases my accuracy. Their custom order doors are typically higher quality and less expensive than Home Depot or Lowes, and have a much shorter lead time. I'm happy to have them as a partner. Even with materials shortages, framing materials availability (including trusses) are on the same schedule as a year or two ago. And pricing is down from even a few months ago.

I spent a lot of time looking for an extremely specific door. I received quotes from some major distributers but none of them were quite right and I would have had to settle. Tart Lumber was recommended by a friend and they were worth every penny spent. Not only did Aimee Kitchen take the time to find my 8 foot double-sliding French doors, she found it at 1/3 of the expected price. I was so shocked by the price, I wanted to see images of the door. Since the door was special order, Aimee was able to get a drawing (to specs). My door arrived three week early and my project is now complete. Mind you....Tart Lumbar is 40 miles from my home, and all of this was done over the phone and via email during a pandemic. Aimee communicated with me and kept me updated throughout the whole process. Tart Lumber is now my vendor of choice and I will drive the 40 miles to continue to do business with them.

Tart Lumber renovated our bathrooms and kitchen and did a spectacular job! We worked with Matt and Jason and they gave us such great advice from the original design plan through completion. We could not be happier with the end result! I have included some before and afters to highlight the great work that was done. Highly reccommend.

I recently needed a special lumber product. I called Tart and their helpful sales person was able to figure out what I was looking for over the phone and even had the pieces I needed in stock. This was hands down the worst quality lumber I’ve ever seen. Absolutely no way this wood qualifies as framing lumber. We bought 70+ 2x4’s. 21 were unusable. Twisted, split and just chewed up. 25 2x6’s. 11 of them were junk. I had trouble building with this lumber. No edges to pull measurements, inconsistent dimensions and weak wood. I’ll post pictures if Google allowed it. Go to Home Depot or Lowes. Tart is selling mill rejects to unsuspecting customers.

Great customer service and many types of moldings. If they don't have it the can make it at their mill work shop. I have seen their mill work installations and they turn out gorgeous.

Amazing experience from start to finish. We dropped by the design studio on a Saturday, when the mill shop was closed. Spoke to JR who helped us figure out which piece of molding we would need for our flooring. Told us to come back Monday, when the shop was open and he would help with the purchase. We showed up Monday and he was there and remembered us! He directed us to the back of the warehouse, where we could ask further questions. Virginia helped us tremendously with understanding what each type of mouldings are used for (shoe moulding vs quarter rounds). We decided on the quarter rounds because it matches the rest of house. We bought around 270lnft worth and Mark was able to help us cut the moulding so that it would fit into our van. Mark also helped carried our product to the van and assist with placing it in the back - which he didn't have to! Overall, everyone was very helpful and I never once felt like I was pressured into getting a certain product. I would recommend this place over the big name stores for anyone who needs any lumber or even have questions on your home project!

We were beyond happy after working with Freddy at Tart to help us find just the door we were looking for! We wanted a specific door to fit an irregular sized opening, and he sent us several options and was very responsive! Freddy came out and measured our current door twice within a short amount of time; he kept us up to date on the process and delivery of the door from the manufacturer, and was amazing in getting the door delivered to us right when we needed it for install! I would definitely recommend Tart and Freddy to anyone for their great customer service and ease of transaction from the start of the process to the purchase to the delivery!

Worked with the owner, Libby, directly with replacement of our interior doors. Very helpful through the entire process. Fair prices too. Would definitely recommend!
