Previous visits were very good 3,4 years back. Yesterday we took 30 min detour just to get taste of Nepali thupka. Dont know we got less research on their menu or the guy failed to explain us correctly...we got Indian hot and sour soup mixed with few noodles in the name of thupka. Pure misleading. I was so craving for thupka and got very disapointed. And the server behaviour...behaved like "oh ! fellow Nepalese...iniharu lai chalihalxa ni". Very disapointed with my visit.

Pretty inferior with an amazing scent. The lamb curry was incredible, with a taste of the spice that intrigue my tongue. Both pork and chicken dumpling were amazing! If you love Indiana food, you would love this one!

Found another hidden gem in Adams Morgan. Their traditional nepalese meal was amazing! Delicious goat curry, rice and daal. The staff is friendly, very courteous and attentive.

While visiting in the area I was able to visit this restaurant on a whim, and I a glad I did. The food and service were excellent, not to mention the more than fair pricing given the times. Highly recommended to anyone looking for something off the beaten trail. (Try the Tibetan noodle soup.)

Was impressed with the Nepalese and Bhutanese small dishes (especially the braised cabbage momo dumplings). Very unique dining experience. Pretty interior. Friendly service.

Good food and ambience. Portion was nice. Fresh and authentic taste. Little over price but that is understandable considering the area it is in. Had a great time.

Nice atmosphere, average food, terrible service. An agent was walking through the dining room with a mop while customers continued to dine, strong smell of detergent, rudeness of the staff who literally take the food out of your hands to close the restaurant. It would have been more commercial to explain the upcoming closing of the restaurant. The order would also have been smaller. In this price range, I recommend you to prefer another restaurant.

Visited this Nepali restaurant in DC for a snack and drinks. While prices were on the higher side, the diverse selection of Nepalese dishes impressed. The staff were also friendly.

Went there with group of friends today and the owner was super friendly and the food was typical Nepali taste. Will visit again whenever I go back to DC. My friends left her wallet and the owner walk all the way to the parking lot which was two blocks away to give it back to us! Such a genuine person.

So the server called moni asked me they are closing as soon as I reached the restaurant to order a takeaway at at 10 pm and said the chefs and herself will be leaving, started arguing etc. while they were still serving others as you can see from my pictures, when you start giving it back she said why are you rude, anyway requested the chef to give me chicken tikka masala which they started making a joke about it from the kitchen and it was loud enough to be heard in the restaurant. It’s always not about the food but what the restaurant is all about. The food was bland and I specifically said to make it mild spicy but they were too busy in laughing then to hear the food instructions.

SO bomb. Food was amazing, service was incredible, vibes were immaculate. Some of the best food I’ve had ever. Highly highly recommend. We got the pork sekuwa, lamb saag, chicken biryani, and garlic naan for reference!!

This was my first foray into Nepalese food. Nepalese is similar to Indian cuisine, which makes sense as the countries share a border. We tried the chicken momo dumplings and the Nepalese style curry. The chicken momo was good, though in my mind I would have wanted those more as an appetizer than a main dish. The curry consisted of a choice of protein and then onions in a tomato-based sauce cooked with roasted cumin, coriander, cilantro, and green onion. Since I selected chicken the dish was $19. I would have liked there to be more ingredients than meat and sauce in the curry, but that’s not a restaurant-specific opinion. The curry was made-to-order, and the chicken was well cooked. The space is in a fun area and decorated with interesting art and murals. If you’re seated in the alcove, you can sit on decorated pillows.

Prime location in the cute bustling ADMO neighborhood but fails to deliver on food. We were really excited to try some Himalayan/Nepalese food but were disappointed. We ordered a few things out of which only the steam chicken dumplings lived up the hype. The chicken chatamari dish concept sound interesting but when served lacked chicken filling in the rice crepe outer covering. Chicken noodles would have been better if not served with fried chicken - the chicken was too dry and hard - would recommend ordering vegetable chowmein instead.

A pleasant local surprise…the location was easy to find, and accessible via a 20-minute bus ride from my house. Our group of Returned Peace Corps Volunteers selected this restaurant for the monthly dining outing. It was absolutely delicious and did not disappoint. By the time we left it was standing room only of people waiting to be seated. Warning….if you like spicy food, DO NOT tell them you want it spicy - you will be breathing fire like a dragon, and y able to really enjoy the food. Don’t say I didn’t warn you🤣🤣🤣🤣

We had a phenomenal experience. We started with the pork sekuwa appetizer followed by chicken biryani, lamb saag and garlic naan for our entree. The food is incredibly delicious and the service is incredible.

Delicious food and pleasant interior. The location is not large so it never got loud, which is something I really appreciate. Food was delicious and served in good time. If you want great Indian food, this is it!

Nepali dal vat was okay. But the owner/ manager was very unprofessional with his behaviour in front of customers. He was also disrespectful towards his staff. Please respect customers either Nepali American or American. Giving two stars just because the food tastes good and the server was very polite and nice. Not recommended because of owner/ manager behaviour.

Beautiful restaurant, friendly service, cosy and calm atmosphere. The place looked clean and well looked after. The food is fresh and tasty, although the Daal soup and the curry sauce was a bit thin. A reasonable price for good quality Nepalese food.

Really friendly service, beautiful plating, and great food! We enjoyed the goat curry and the dumplings! We got the curry spicy, but it was not super spicy and had delicious flavor! Recommend this spot in AdMo!

I wanted to like the food more but the chicken was dry, the red beans didn't have a lot of flavor, and the momos stuck together so ripped when you try to eat them. This all may have been because it was the last few minutes of the street festival but it doesn't make me want to try their food again. It's nice that they have a variety of sauces to choose from. It wasn't managed in a great way. The people were very nice and they would serve you, but the seating wasn't One direction and the actual restaurant that you had to go to to pay within another. So are you supposed to walk around with your plates? Leave your plates unattended at at a table? Get everything to go just so that you can go 20 or 30 ft to pay for it and then back to the tables? They should have had somebody with a square at the same place where you're buying the food, so you could just pay with your credit card at the same place you order the food

Great vibes, superb service and phenomenal and very flavorful cuisine. Spice level accommodated to customer preference and manager continuously checks up while refilling your water. Will def visit again! The vegan momo is delicious and the guava juice a perfect balance!

Overall it was an ok experience. Papa dam was overpriced and bit too salty. The NEPALESE STYLE Chicken Curry with Onion, Tomato based sauce cooked with roasted cumin, coriander, cilantro and green onion- it was a good curry dish. For dessert I took the rice pudding which was just ok.
