Alex is a lying con artist. He lies at every chance he gets. Tries to force upsells and looks for every way to make things up to not assist with a resolution on purchased items. For example I purchased a Yoshi’s craft game for switch it arrived in the generic gray/black/red/white case. I was at the store and asked if I could get the box art cover for the used one they had. First he says I need the original case that I was sent to swap it out. I asked if I could get the box art since they were out of cases he then says they’re out of paper. I next asked him to give me 5 minutes to go get the case to swap it out. I come back 5 minutes later to hear “I’m so sorry, an online order just came through and I have it all packaged and ready for shipment” all within a 5 minute span. This was after literally telling him that I was going to be back in 5 minutes and showed him the receipt. This guy is very dishonest this is after spending thousands of dollars in the past week for this company. Previously he forced me to purchase a game informer subscription or he wasn’t going to sell me a PS5

Nate and Woo are the realest and the best when it comes to true customer care. My account was having issues with missing preorders and Nate and Woo patiently took time to iron out the bugs. It was my first encounter with the store and it was by far the same welcoming atmosphere I’m used to in my former home store. I’m thankful they are doing just work even during a pandemic which I feel they deserve more aid against but they boldly work to keep the positivity going strong. I recommend them to anyone who is in need of fast friends in these dire times. Great group of bros truly can’t wait to come thru again 💯

The customer service was great, they helped me get everything needed for a good gaming experience. The only problem was the smell once I walked in the store. It smelt like a sewage back up and was very strong. Other than that my visit was good.

Once again I come to this game stop here in Montgomery Village at 11:05 and it is still closed although opening time is 11am. It is now 11:30 and the worker still hasn’t gotten here to open up the store. Absolutely ridiculous and extremely unprofessional

Sold my preorders and said I wasn’t there in time to pick up. They gave me no call or warning that they would sell my orders if I didn’t pick up in time and we’re very rude in store. No wonder this company is bankrupt. Horrible gamestop

This place is shady. They mark up their games. You can get consoles and games at a better deal elsewhere. Avoid this place. Shady.

Staff is friendly and welcoming. Nathaniel is very knowledgeable and let us know about some deals. Ended up signing up for the rewards for discounts later.

Take forever for online orders, whats so hard grabbing something and saying ready, should be first thing when they open, they were also very rude when I went to grab it, wasnt ready but im not gonna wait all day, all they did was grab it from behind counter and say ready and thats it. Something they could of done hours ago.👎🏼

I mean it's a GameStop. Nothing that's never been seen before. Nothing much to say. Whatever five stars ❤️

I luv this Location, i used to come here rather frequently before money started getting tighter to do simple things around Mo Co or else to just go applying to video games. Definitely before the present health lockdown.😌☕ I wanna say since around 2019, that general area of activity. I still have a few of the things here that were of that era of Gamestop visits, like my Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts' and Golden Sun strategy guides from games played, my whole art collection and walkthrough of Pokemon: Black and White 2. Then there's the FF 12 special collector's edition on PS2 [the last ps2 game i ever bought ☝ mind you - best $60 investment], and pieces of equipment for my GBA Advanced and Nintendo DS. Staff and the workers are great, I'd see a nice rotation of social or active people from time to time. A few of them i didn't even know, but could stand there and suddenly hold really in-depth conversations at randoms on games or stories or gaming culture and it would feel great at those times to be connecting with a total stranger that really understood you or tastes in games. Only a rare few times, very rare, i could say i was dealing with someone either older or younger that never knew what they were doing or just didn't know anything or weren't really all that knowledgeable about the products around them. Or weren't into it, them just being there fir a paycheck. Similar feeling to Suncoast and F.Y.E® atmosphere of once upon a time but not anymore. Again, its been a long while since I've been there to that spot so its likely a lot has changed to that atmosphere easily. New look, newer products obviously, and newer people absolutely to be used to. Honestly being able to connect to the consumer [in a way since the seller is also a consumer] is a nice point of interest working or shopping here or at any locality. If you can't do that in the setting where its arguably the easiest to do, then what are doing working there?😡 Besides a check/income~ If there's no luv for the work, there's no value. Then there's no returning customers.

Very disappointed at the misinformation. I called to inquire about a product availability and was told it was available. 10 min after my phone call i arrive to the store and i am told it was sold, even though i asked for it to be held.

Good customer service, I drove from White oak to this location to buy a game, and they hold it for me.

I have to say I'm always @ a loss with this location & company. There's a lot of unsavory things that can be said about Gamestop & it's companies & staffs practices. I have heard many times of people being taken advantage of especially women & those who don't really have knowledge of gaming in general. I never would have believed it until my wife was a victim of theirs. Was purchasing a Black Ops 3 console Bundle but because of their employees only getting a commission on so many sold per day ( or so I've been told) the employee convinced her to accept a regular console coupled with the Black Ops game. Where is the " taking advantage " part you ask ? Well if you know about these Special Game Consoles the console was supposed to be Limited Edition with Black Ops 3's design on the console itself along with of things not included with the basic console. Along with the fact that you can be told " were not giving cash for anything @ this time" for trade ins which makes no sense & the facts that Gamestop only gives you half the value of your items if that because a lot of your items simply have no trade in value for you but they turn a huge profit by reselling your items for full price. Shame.

My daughter went to purchase a Nintendo Switch game and when she came out she mentioned that the game cost more than she thought it should. Her receipt was $67 (Because they also charged her for a protection plan at $3.99!). I looked up the exact same game online at GameStop.com, chose the Montgomery Village store, selected Ship to Store and it was being offered at $49.94. I took her back to the store and told them they overcharged her. I was told that it was the "online" price and she had to mention it to get that price in store. If I can choose to have it shipped to store for the online price, then how is that any different than buying it in the store? It honestly felt like they took advantage of my daughter by overcharging her for the product and up charging for a protection plan.
