First
off,
I
love
this
place.
I
came
here
a
while
ago
while
I
was
scouting
locations
for
a
movie,
so
of
course,
I
was
taken
here
by
some
of
my
Ukrainian
co-workers
on
the
film
on
one
of
my
first
nights
in
town.
At
first
I
wondered
why
they
would
bring
me
to
a
restaurant
called
"New
York
Street
Pizza"
when
I
was
from
America
and
all
I
really
wanted
was
to
eat
plate
after
plate
of
authentic
Ukrainian
food.
But
after
seeing
the
menu
I
was
very
pleased.
"New
York
Street
Pizza"
is
Far
More
than
a
Pizza
restaurant.
There
are
so
many
fantastic
looking
Ukrainian
dishes
here,
as
well
as
Sushi,
Steaks,
delicious
looking
Soups
and
Salads,
an
amazing
selection
of
creatively
prepared
Vegetables
from
Grilled
to
Butter-Sautéed
to
Baked
in
a
sauce
that
I
just
wanted
to
eat
them
all.
But
before
I
could
do
that
we
had
to
order
a
couple
of
round
of
some
truly
unique
and
creative
Cocktails.
My
Ukrainian
hosts
pretty
much
ordered
family
style
for
all
of
us
at
the
table,
with
a
few
exceptions
of
dishes
that
I
just
had
to
try,
like
the
Beet
Borscht,
the
grilled
Sausage
platter
(with
many
small
fatty
yummy
sausages
plus
sour
pickles),
plus
the
Spinach
&
Feta-Cheese
pie
(that
was
more
like
a
Calzone
than
a
Spanakopita),
and
finally
a
hot
vegetable
dish
of
Green
Beans
and
more
all
baked
into
a
creamy
cheesy
Casserole.
Of
course,
I
shared
all
of
the
dishes
with
everyone
else
because
it
just
ended
up
being
so
much
food.
Luckily
the
studio
gave
us
an
expense
account
so
we
weren't
too
worried.
But
the
feast
wasn't
over
yet.
My
co-workers
also
ordered
a
couple
of
Salads
to
share
(which
were
excellent),
plus
a
Sushi
Boat
(with
two
types
of
Caviar
Sushi),
plus
a
couple
of
other
Soups
(one
was
thinner
and
more
clear
with
lots
of
chopped
vegetables
and
some
meat,
and
the
other
soup
was
thicker
and
greenish
-
and
it
also
ended
up
being
my
favorite
of
the
soups).
They
also
got
a
couple
of
Pizzas
so
we
each
could
try
a
slice
(one
had
Ham
and
Salami,
sliced
Tomatoes,
-
and
the
other
was
All
White).
Both
were
very
good.
Also,
they
knew
that
I
loved
fish
so
the
ordered
a
grilled
Mackerel
with
Mashed
Potatoes.
Those
may
have
been
the
BEST
mashed
potatoes
that
I
have
ever
had.
Finally
we
had
desserts,
which
I
could
only
nibble
on
because
I
was
so
full.
But
I
must
give
honorable
mentions
to
the
Peach
Tart,
the
multi
layered
Cake
&
Custard
Torte,
the
Tiramisu,
and
lastly
an
amazingly
rich
coffee
cup
full
of
some
Dark-Chocolate
Mousse
(of
which
I
could
only
have
a
tiny
taste).
There
was
also
a
plate
of
sliced
fruit
in
a
sauce,
but
I
couldn't
even
taste
it.
But
I
have
to
admit,
overall,
this
was
one
of
the
Best
and
most
Fun
meals
I
ever
had.
Aside
from
the
food
here,
one
of
the
best
things
about
New
York
Street
Pizza
is
its
small
but
well
appointed
street-side
outdoor
dining
area,
with
its
big
shade-umbrellas
and
its
lively
Cosmopolitan
feel.
It
is
a
great
spot
to
have
a
drink
with
a
friend,
smoke
a
cigarette,
and
people-watch.
I
really
enjoyed
my
time
in
this
town.
Slava
Ukraine.
