I really wanted to enjoy this place. The food was a solid 6/10 with the biggest complaint being my pork wasn’t spicy as advertised, and I know during corona virus it’s difficult to accommodate at normal operation but the employees were so rude. I was with a group and we honored their request to wear masks, but our server thought we were mad at her and just had an attitude the entire time we were there. The seating environment was quite pleasant and I really enjoyed the quiet atmosphere after a long drive. If you have options to eat elsewhere in the area I would suggest adding this to it in hopes you’ll have better service.

Absolutely amazing. The best Japanese family restaurant I’ve been to in the states. Highly recommend if you want casual family Japanese dishes. They have some Korean dishes as well.

Cozy Japanese restaurant, serving authentic Japanese food. Great service. Welcoming atmosphere. Our entrees were delicious! Including Katsu and Tempura bowls, Kyushu Tonkotsu Ramen. The Yakiniku was delicious but much more spicy than I have had in Japan. I recommend asking the cook to tone the spice down. Miso soup, salad, Gyoza were all good. Best Japanese food in Myrtle Beach.

Myrtle Beach has a hidden Jem of a restaurant here. We found this little hole in the wall on Yelp and decided to try it. With only Eight tables this restaurant is cozy and personal. The owners were nice and attentive. My wife and I ordered the udon and a Ramen dinner bowl. VERY GOOD!!!!!! We also had the tempura appitizer that was fresh and wonderful. We will definitely be back and recommend this restaurant to our friends.

Delicious lunch spot. My wife and I had the Katsudon and loved every bite. The plaza where it's located is very attractive and easy to get around in. The take out service was super fast and easy. The pork was flavorful and not dry at all. We'll be back when we are passing through Myrtle Beach, that's for sure.

This is a great little restaurant, local MB business and a hidden gem. Everything in the menu is great with high quality and so tasty. Everything seems very authentic. The service is very good they take care of you very well, they food doesn't take long to be delivered to your table and they check on you regularly for water or anything else you may need. You may want to call in advance, the space is limited so you may need to wait as with COVID only 4 tables inside can be used, they have 2-3 outside that can be used (if its not too cold), parking is limited as well but it is not hard to find a place if you just driver a little further.

Got here a few mins after 2 and they close at 2:30pm. We shared a tempura appetizer and then had a nabeyaki udon, tonkatsu ramen and karaage bento. Very satisfying. The udon was very good along with the soup. So was the chicken. Great service. 8

The ramen was really great. The noodles tasted fresh and the pork was really delicious. We also had the takoyaki but it wasnt the best. I remember the takoyaki in Japan being bigger and more round and crispy on the outside. The flavors were still ok. My boyfriend had the bibimbap and said it was also really good.

Sobaya is a real hidden gym in Myrtle Beach. Local, family owned, and some of the best Ramen around. If you're in the area, do not miss this place. Be prepared, it is a very small place so it fills up fast.
