We played 3 courses....all were challenging and in good shape. The food breakfast buffet and lunch menu was top notch. What needs work to give it 5 stars is changing the attitude of many of the workers there. From servers to the guys that unload your clubs, many of them make you feel like you are an inconvenience to them. I don't know if it's due to problems getting staff or poor training or maybe they shouldn't be in the hospitality industry, but other than those few that made it a not great experience, I really enjoyed this place.

Played 2 rounds at full price (Moorland & Parkland) on 7/2 and 7/3. Moorland was in bad shape as the fairways and greens were both aerated. This is VERY surprising as it's July. In addition, several greens on the Parkland course had significant track marks/burns on them. On both days, the starters/bag guys were rude, aggressive, and overwhelmed. On the second day, the bag guy threw a scorecard at me after I asked him politely if I could have one. Staff doesn't seem to appreciate or value tourists or people who are on vacation. They are however, very good at servicing large groups and tournaments. As MB has many, many other gorgeous courses, I would suggest you spend your money somewhere else. One positive was the breakfast, lunch and drink coupons given with the greens fee. Sadly, this could not make up for the other shortcomings.

Overall a good place to live and golf!! Great practice facility with matted and grass range, short game area and putting greens. Had high expectations for the courses and the greens, apart from Moorland course greens the rest of them were average. Played there for the first time, would definitely go back again for some redemption!

This round of golf at Heathland should have been more fun than it was. The layout is amazing and the fairways are in really good shape. However, there are some challenges with this golf course that make it feel less than ideal. First off, you do not get a cart until it is time to tee off, which makes it cumbersome to walk back and forth from the driving range and the practice green. They need to give you a cart the moment you show up so that you have some mobility before your round starts. Secondly, the course was recently aerated and there was more than a half dozen putts that came about a foot short because the ball was bouncing and bobbling on the green. It is super frustrating that the starter did not recommend another course where the greens were in better shape. I would have loved if someone had recommended a track that had better greens and was not yet aerated. If you are coming to Myrtle Beach in the next week or so do not play this course, or call beforehand to make sure you are playing a course that has not yet been aerated.

3- 18 Hole courses varying in difficulty, amount of water and bunkers. Parkland being most beginners favorites as it has the most forgiving roughs of the 3. Moreland and heathland will require a little more finesse and club thought. Overall amazing experience! Must visit if in Myrtle beach! Also players club membership is a pretty good idea of your thinking about it!!

Our 50 player group played and stayed at the Legends. THE worst customer service experience I've had in a long time. You would think that a facility the size of Legends, with three great golf courses, would make an effort to have their employees treat customers politely. Every encounter I had with a staff member felt like an intrusion, like I was bothering them with a question or a food order or directions. No smiles, no 'glad you're here,' no effort whatsoever in welcoming you to their facility. I will never go back to the Legends, and only because of the pitiful customer service. I love the golf courses but it's not worth being treated like an intruder. How hard is it to smile and be polite to the people who are keeping you in business?

Three of the best golf courses I ever played in my life are right here at Legends in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. The staff are very courteous and professional. Everything from the management of the courses to the quality of the clubhouse is just top-notch in my opinion. The golf carts are modern and fully equipped with ice chests and towels, adding to the enjoyment of the whole experience. Last thing, the prices cannot be beat. I was absolutely amazed and very happy I came here.

We attended the Classic Swing Golf School. It was a transformative experience that we highly recommend to all levels of golfers. We stayed in small two rooms condos that are somewhat dated but very clean. The beds were comfortable, and the small kitchen was fully equipped. Our trainers, Ted, Stephanie, and Jay, were amazing. We will come back!

We played Heathland on Sunday April 25th. The fairways were in great shape. The greens were very fast and true with just little signs of the relative of the winter greens weeds. The pro for staff were very friendly and helpful and they do have a great selection of souvenirs, golf attire and accessories. Played 18 in just under 4 hours! We also had a very reasonable lunch at the clubhouse. Very nice facility. Will be back for sure.

My daughter and I played here for first time. Starting was a little different as they didn’t load bags until time to head to tee. Fairways were a little tighter than what we are used to but in good shape. Greens were great. Rolled true and not too slow or fast. Ranger is around often in an attempt to keep slow groups moving. Would like to play some other courses on property. Would play again!

The golf courses are wonderful. Great deal with breakfast and lunch included. We played 36 holes today and unfortunately we didn’t get lunch. We ordered two chicken wraps and a Turkey sandwich. Presley seemed more intent on chatting up other tables. We never got out food. Waited 45 minutes and had to leave to make our afternoon tee time. This is the only issue we had. Very frustrating to miss lunch after playing 18 and going out for another 18.

Courses are nice, challenging, and well kept. But.. they stack morning tee times so tight that you're already 30+ minutes behind before you've even teed off on #1 and the round ends up taking 1-1.5 hours longer than they typically would due to there being 3 or 4 groups on every single hole. Also, their "lighted" driving range only has about 20% working lights; once it gets dark, there are only a handful of spots to hit where you can actually see the ground and good luck watching your ball flight once you hit because there are no lights shining down range.

Golf and Service come first here always. From reservations to the Pro Shop, your golf trip will be top-notch. When you're done and go into eat, your service at the pub will be friendly and energetic, and the food has improved over the years. Make sure to visit the pizza oven, believe it or not a strong 8 out of 10 on the Pizza Front. .

Went there on Saturday and it was a mess. They over book with golf packages and free replays. No ranger on the course to assist with flow management. Beautiful course and design by Pete Dye. Locals if you’re going to play here don’t do it during golf package season. Place looks like Disney world! Have to walk a 1/4 mile to range and back. Shuttles weren’t running due to staffing. Greens running a 12 and lots of hazards.

Played Moorland course in Christmas classic tournament. Tough course in really good shape. Greens were patchy from the dormant grass but rolled pretty fast and reasonably true. Fairways were pretty plush and green. Rough not too deep (thankfully). Around 5400 yards from senior tees and 6200 from the whites. One par 3 is 220 from whites and 190 from the greens- bring your A game.

My first time visiting was this past week for 5 days of golf. I played Parkland, Heathland, and Moorland, which were all in amazing condition despite two of them being aerated right before we came. Very inexpensive for the experience you get and all staff are nice and helpful.

Played Moorland, Heathland and Parkland. The courses are well layed out. Parkland and Heathland were in much better shape than Moorland. These courses have amazing potential to be in perfect condition if players would repair their divots. Tee boxes are great, greens are smooth and fast and the fairways are good. The staff is friendly. The included meals are good. Well worth it.

I played the links course and it was challenging and beautiful. Wonderful condition despite so many people playing. Staff was great and they are super efficient with the numbers of people, making sure we got out on time and pace of play was great.

The three golf course offers very distinct types of layouts would highly reccomend. While the proximity of accommodations were excellent, the condition of the rooms were very dated and seemed tired.

  • 2/5 Kevin B. 7 months ago on Google
Not vegan or vegetarian friendly, they need more options. The rooms were very spacious but super outdated. The golf courses around the clubhouse were soo rundown where we had to travel on the golf cart were the worst I’ve ever seen. I know they we’re working on them while we were there. Next year I will not be returning

As a resident at legends I will try to be un biased. Conditions were great, greens received well struck shots and rolled very well and quicker than expected. The only knock I can give is that it's a resort with 3 golf courses and an excellent value which tends to bring alot of beginners, and sideways players. Be ready for a 5 + hr round.

I've played here for seven years and the course has always been of a very high standard. Of course there are disadvantages, such as there are usually a lot of people and you have to wait a lot. But if you're just enjoying a round of golf, that's okay. But for tourists who have other itineraries, it is indeed a bit frustrating. I still love these courses and as for the staff, there are passionate and complaining staff at every location, so what if you run into that one? I just went to play, a weekly family activity. Enjoyed it a lot.

Recently enjoyed a 3 night stay at Legends with a group of 12 the first week of September. We rented two 3 bedroom units and they were nicer than I was expecting with laundry and a full kitchen. We played all 3 courses and my order would be Heathland, Moorland, Parkland. They were all in really good shape and no major issues to report. Pace of play wasn’t an issue for us despite what many are reporting. Favorite holes: Heathland 2,4,15,16 Moorland 2,3,6,8 Parkland 9,10,18 The breakfast is ok but the lunch with two drink tickets is definitely a major selling point. All the lunch food we had was good. Be sure to eat at Alisa Pub and get some chicken wings. Overall: Legends exceeded my expectations in terms of golf quality and lodging. We would definitely come here again.

Fantastic 2 days of golf. Checkin each day was hassle free and the courses were in great condition. Breakfast and lunch food was good. Lunch took use 20 minutes to order a downer. Also May is busy time and 18 holes took 5 hours to play a round.

This gets 4 stars instead of 5 for one reason: the pace of play is awful. I've been a member here and played about 15 rounds so far the last 6 months. This isnt an isolated event, minus one round on Heathland a few weeks ago, every round is this way. In comparison with other local courses I have played for years, this has the worst pace of play in Myrtle Beach. Today, 18 holes at Parkland took 4hrs and 38 minutes. No range ambassador in sight to help and despite dozens of other reviews stating the same thing, they still push tee times too close. Pros: best membership options on the coast. Great range, great chipping and putting greens. Would recommend with patience. Courses are well maintained.

The golf course staff does not care about their customers, very unprofessional and down right rude. Treat you disrespectful and quick to cause you out and call you names. Payed alot of money to be treated as I didn't matter. Won't let you load your cart until it's 2 minutes before your tee time, and then want to rush you out, very unpleasant.

Came to legends for a 3 night golf trip with a group of 20 men and had an awesome experience! Between the picturesque golf courses, convenient location of our villas to the golf courses and great value, I’ll be back next year for our annual trip!

Legends Heathland is among the best golf courses I have ever played. It was very confidence inducing in that the open rolling terrain gave a subconscious feeling of being able to take advantage of scoring opportunities, and the greens rolled very true and were highly readable.

Played 4/20/23 Parkland and 4/21/23 Moorland. Tees and fairways were in great shape. Greens were sandy, unfortunately. Cart paths on both courses need to be repaved. The pace of play was slow. Service in the clubhouse and restaurant was good. Some people in our group had a different service experience. Overall, our group had a nice time.

Great golf courses all in excellent shape! What a great experience and a wonderful staff especially the outside bag drop guys!

This was the most unprofessional golf staff I have ever met. Zach is a liar and a manipulator. He must’ve been very angry but he seems like he hates his job everyday but enjoys ruining other peoples days. That’s where he finds satisfaction at his job because he’s the one working and we’re the ones playing golf. He profusely went out of his way to ruin our Golf Trip by telling us to tee off at a certain time then accusing us of jumping in front of groups. He then was spreading false rumors to other staff which led to us missing two days of a trip we paid for. Billy actually seems like a very kind person, unfortunately he took Zachs story and was also manipulated by him.

Playing a golf tournament at this place...played Parkland today and course is in real good shape, however it took 5 hrs and 45 mins to do 18 holes. Come to find out the course was feeding in other golfers in between our tournament groups. I guess they need the money. We waited on every hole...10 up to 15 minutes...pretty lousy playing conditions. If you don't care about your rhythm or timing and have well over 5 1/2 hours to waste, this is the place. It's sad as the guys working there are pretty nice, and the courses pretty nice, but shoving in groups and making playing here miserable is not where you want to play or have your tournaments.

READ! Good, challenging golf and a friendly staff in the lounge. However, the bag drop associates, pro shop, and starters are absolutely RUDE and ignorant. The one starter, Don will try his best to ruin your day before you even start. I WILL NOT go back to Legends until they decide to treat their customers as valued. Do better, Legends.

Heathland is a Great course! True links style. Open with bunkers and wild grasses Fabulous condition and a lot of fun to play. My favorite of the Legends Courses. Parkland was also is great condition. Definitely more trouble to find than Heathland and was a tough challenge. I can’t understand how the rating is the same on these 2 courses from 6100. Parkland was a lot harder.

Came from Florida and they were complete chaos. Hour and fifteen minutes late in getting us on course. Nobody in charge on getting people out to play the course. Said something to the kid getting carts to see how long and threatened to put me last or not at all if said anything else. I don’t leave reviews, but this was terrible.

Just cancelled my membership today due to the lack of customer service that this course provides. The courses themselves are decent but not the best in the area, and the staff makes you feel like a second class citizen. Every time I have played golf there the men that are taking your clubs are just standing around talking among themselves and not helping customers. The clubhouse staff has the same attitude as the people outside, when I was there there were 3 customers waiting in line while 1 person was helping and the other person was on his cell phone lookiing at something. The gentleman that was at the register was not helpful either, when asked if a single could get out for 9 holes, he proceeded to state that it would after 1 pm without looking at anything (Nobody teeing off and the bag stand had 3 bags waiting). This is the typical service at this golf course from the older staff, the young kids are the very helpful and I do not mind giving my money to them for tips. The staff needs to be upgraded to people that care about all customers and not just the ones that are regulars at the course.
