It was a nice to go here even though I got rejected with my EU Vaccination certificate at the first time. They don’t accept European vaccines. Please bring a PCR test with you to enjoy this museum. It’s a great place to go to when visiting Moscow during pandemic.

Amazing museum that holds, we saw the the exhibit of impressionist artists and it was looking into a book of art history. All the masters and some of their greatest works, ground floor of the museum especially the Egyptian room is worth seeing, many of the sculptures are plaster reproductions however. Opens at 11 recommend getting tickets ahead of time as the line in can be a tad long and e-tickets entitles you to skip it

The museum is quite compact and takes 2-3 hours to see. But not be tricked by its modest size, the collection is really gorgeous, especially Schukin exhibition. I was so amazed how the man managed to collect so many masterpieces in his lifetime In my opinion the place is must to visit in Moscow

To visit the museum you have to buy tickets in advance on the museum's website. There are available time slots with steps of 15 min between them. The main building contents a large collection of copies of the famous sculptures by their epochs. There in museum it is allowed to make the pictures and to sketch with a charcoal on a paper sized no more than A4. If you choose not crowded day, it is a calm place to explore and sketch the items.

(Translated by Google) A wonderful museum, but the employee of the second pavilion at the entrance to the building, where the works of the Impressionists are exhibited, rudely made me a remark that I did not turn in my jacket to the closet. It was on May 8. I give only one star for this, for my spoiled mood in Museum. I continue and quote inappropriate rudeness in this museum, in the department of paintings. They put some boorish, which are rudely sent to the wardrobe. Shame on the management of this museum.

(Translated by Google) This is the museum that everyone should visit! Despite all the outward solemnity, greatness, this is a place of sorrow and memory. We must not forget about those events. I especially advise everyone to visit the "People's Feat" exposition. Amazing entourage for mostly replicas (except for the Egyptian mummies, Persian stone writings and Russian paintings). Interior design and lighting are perfect for each historical period hall. Will suit any blogger for selfies.

This museum is rich in art and the architecture of the building. It's not gigantic, but you will get to travel through ancient greece and 15th - 16th century art. Many of which are reproductions (statues) molden on the originals. If you forget about the facy they are reproductions and you spend some time looking at the art and the yeats when they were actually made, you will be pleasantly surprised to find out that the srill date multiple centuries ago and deserve just as much respect. Got the chance to view original study drawings that inspired bigger pieces and it's very inspiring. Seeing the process and the approach of these masters of art when they were in search of perfection is truly worth your time. I enjoyed analyzing these different drawings, the strokes and the details which came to eventually create some of the world renowed pieces we came to all know.

London was awesome this is the best. The best museum I have ever visited and it has a lot of staff about WW2. It's not about all the way to the victory of the red army. It also has a number of tremendous items staff German American and of course Soviet. It recreates in a room perfectly the Reich stag as it was when it fell. It has a lot of souvenirs that the Germans left to the Soviet when they lost the war. And the think that I will not forget was the exhibition is the memorial room which is worthy watching it.

The London School Exhibit was amazing. I have no words to describe the level of excitement of seeing the work of Lucius Freud and Francis Bacon. The museum in general has a interesting selection of works from bizantine art, Italian and Germanic Renaissance. It also has a display of egipcian and Greek artifacts. What is special about this museum is that some of the rooms have thematic decors related to the exhibit.

Great collection in one place, well technically two buildings next door to each other. Great sculpture collection...and they all clearly say they're plaster casts, so the museum isn't trying to trick anyone. Make sure you get a ticket for both buildings, the European artist collection in the gallery next to the main building is one if the best I've seen. Oh and dont forget to get a ticket for any travelling exhibits, there was a Picasso one when u visited, I couldn't believe my luck. Also dont miss out on the Cathedral of Christ the saviour, directly across the road.

Nice art collection though not for art connoisseurs. Time has to be invested for a good visit of this museum, since it holds a lot of art pieces that deserve such time. Sculptures, ceramics, and paintings make up the main part of the exhibition. A great fine arts museum, since Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece and Rome art to Botticelli’s paintings. Some masterpieces: Rembrandt, Veronese, Botticelli, Rubens, Degas, Matisse, Miró, and many others are found here. Imagine seeing Impressionists one-on-one: almost private setting without selfie-making tourist crowds. In modern times you have to go to Moscow to experience that. Beautiful collection, well laid out, well explained (great curator work). Russian Impressionists were a revelation. Very enjoyable visit.

One of the places you cannot miss while visiting Moscow. It is difficult to find such a wast collection of impressionists under one roof. Best to book online tickets in advance (as soon as you book your flight) as museum is loved by locals as well as foreigners. We did not know that so we spent 2 hours in a line, but it was definitely worth it. Most recommend!

The Pushkin State Museum holds a fantastic array of artifacts, antiquities, and artistic creations from almost every age, every continent, and every major school of painting and sculpture. There are scientific exhibits as well that are very well done. It’s a must-see place when you are in Moscow—whether for a long stay or for just two days as I was in August, 2019.

One of the best museums in Moscow!! This is definitely worth a trip to see. It is a beautiful and informative museum. Plan on spending a whole afternoon or more here as there are 4 floors FILLED with memorabilia, dioramas and displays. There is also a theater. When you are in this museum it feels like you are in a different world, it truly takes you to a different mindset where you develop a greater appreciation for the War and all those who died. There is also a beautiful outside area. I still think back to this museum often as one of my favorite places I have been! This museum is also completely wheelchair accessible with accessible toilets!

(Translated by Google) For me personally, for my circle of development and perception of the environment, the Poklonnaya Mountain and the Victory Park itself, the museum included in it, are collectively some kind of sacred place or something, historical as it really is and every time endowing with patriotism ( just don't say that patriotism is either there or not) .. I myself am not a local, but from the moment of construction, the construction of the first structures available for visiting (1995), at every convenient opportunity, I won a moment to, again, visit them .. Recently, I have the opportunity to receive guests from my small homeland in the capital, I have conditionally moved .. First of all, upon arrival in Moscow, the people naturally beg for a cultural mass, I am taking it not to Red Square, but to a "bow" .. So that the history of people soak, and perhaps feel, live in their eyes the very feelings that I myself feel, walking and staring at such a significant and majestic cultural site of Russia and far beyond its borders .. And so, the conversation will go far not about the historical value of sowing "institutions", but about the attitude of the working people there .. Yes, I'm used to mistaking white for white, black for black, maybe this is not entirely correct and somewhere in between there is gray .. To business!) - A comrade comes from the Motherland, despite the weather, and the complete absence of people in the park area, we decide to naturally visit the museum .. Be vigilant comrades, cashier 002 Bugakova V.N., tends to make a mistake, to break through the service you need not at par , but for a song, i.e. in the column "Type of service: entrance to the main building", we had a price - FREE! Literally a couple of meters away from the cash register, realizing that they are frankly making a fool of us, we turn around - (I quote: - "How could I have pressed in the wrong direction ?! The views of the neighboring operators spoke for themselves, there shouldn't be a mistake! In quotes). these ill-fated 300 rubles, but the sediment remained) Fair?! Tsepanulo! Well, I would have asked a question, asked, maybe I saw the province, and then head-on and with frank eyes! NOT Moscow, it won't give a ride! Fundamentally! There is no photo with the "priceless checkpoint", they will figure out who needs it in time and operations .. It's horror! There would be another platform, we can put it in a slightly different way, but here excuse me for the syllable) V.N. hello! Н.

(Translated by Google) On January 30, we visited a new large-scale exposition "The Feat of the People" with an excursion "Unconquered Leningrad" This is a truly impressive, large-scale interactive project with audio and video materials, sound effects and beautiful 3D decorations. Many thanks for the implementation of such a grandiose project to all its creators and the director of the museum. Exactly such, magnificent in artistic embodiment, exhibitions should be in our museums. But I would like to dwell on some of the nuances. 1. A cool visual range creates a technical paradox of the exhibition: you don't want to leave it, but the museum does not offer you time to stay and study the exhibits on your own. The graphic and architectural solution of the exhibition, large-scale three-dimensional panoramas from the first minutes immerse the viewer in this space and successfully solve the problem of boredom and the usual desire to escape from the exhibition at the sight of mothballs and small fonts. But now the interested listener has no temporary opportunity either to examine all this space in more detail, or to use interactive screens for a broader and deeper study of the topic. He simply runs "at a gallop across Europe" for a guide. As for our visit, we left the exhibition in 1.5 hours instead of the 2 stated in the ticket. 2. Besides such a hasty acquaintance, I was surprised by the strange use of technology. So, in the hall about culture in besieged Leningrad, the guide tells about the "7th symphony" by D. Shostakovich, and in the speakers they play the song "The Holy War" by A. Alexandrov. An uninitiated person will naturally associate The Holy War with Shostakovich. And it is sincerely incomprehensible to me why, possessing such powerful technical means, to create such incorrect connections in the audience? 3. Now to the confusion when buying tickets online. Pricing information should be presented without discrepancy so as not to create unnecessary tension and irritation for the visitor. There is absolutely no need for a visitor to begin acquaintance with the Victory Museum with negative emotions. For example, in the description for the "Feat of the Army" sightseeing tour, it is directly indicated that it is necessary to buy an entrance ticket. And in the description for the exhibition "Feat of the People: Unconquered Leningrad" nothing of the kind is stated. Why shouldn't the technician in charge of the site enter a phrase in the description of the excursions and on the online purchase page that “additionally you need to buy an entrance ticket to the Main Building” for all excursions where necessary. Or immediately sell tickets for excursions with an included admission ticket at prices in accordance with the categories. And thus not to create unnecessary confusion, hustle and bustle and waste of time buying additional tickets on the spot. So, on our excursion, a woman with two children had tickets only to the exhibition, and when buying entrance tickets at the box office, one of them was sold to her with the date the next day and the turnstiles did not let them through. (But everything ended well.) We paid an additional 600 rubles to the allocated budget for visiting the museum. By the way, a ticket to the Main Building gives you the opportunity to go out and re-enter the museum, at least that's what the employee told us at the turnstile. We have not tested. This is good and logical, since toilets, cafes and souvenir shops are located at the entrance to the turnstile line. As a result, I definitely recommend the new interactive exhibition to visit, but with the general excursion "The feat of the people".

This is excellent, classic fine arts museum with excellent collections. This is no huge like the State Hermitage in Saint Petersburg but it is better to plan at least three hours for your visit. You are going to see many artifacts from the times of ancient Egypt, Assyria and Greece. West European sculptures and paintings of XV - XVII centuries. Visitors are allowed to take non commercial photo without flash light and tripod. Highly recommended for yours visit.

A walk through the halls of Greek antique sculpture through Roman busts to the tombstones of medieval Italy makes one doubt that progress exists. On the organization of the museum. Where else can you admire the back of David's head at arm's length?

Well, it's cool to watch how the need for a metro or heating was promoted, something without which there is no life now. And there is also a lot of respect for advertising methods - in the metro, for example, they promoted the cultural life of the city and walks, invited the best artists, it is a pleasure to view. (Translated by Google) The Pushkin Museum in Moscow (in its official name, the State Museum of Plastic Arts) is the second major museum in Russia dedicated to European art, second only to the Hermitage in Saint Petersburg. It is located at 12 Voljonka Street. The museum was founded for educational purposes by a professor at Moscow University, the philologist Ivan Vladimirovich Tsvetaev, son of the historian Dmitri Ilovaiski and the father of the poet Marina Tsvetayeva. Thanks to his efforts, the Moscow Duma granted him land in the center of the city called Kolymazhny Dvor (House of Wagons), not far from the Kremlin. The building, with classic lines with Ionic columns, was designed by Román I. Klein. It was inaugurated in 1912, baptized with the name of Tsar Alexander III of Russia. Initially the museum focused on classical sculpture, showing mostly plaster copies that were used for learning by new artists, but the Soviet Revolution of 1917 gave it a change of course. The new communist government decided to expand it in 1924 with nationalized works of art, mostly from private collectors who had fled the country. For this reason, the Pushkin Museum has very disparate collections of Egyptian archeology, Greek vessels, textiles and engravings. In the period 1924-30, the museum grew substantially, thanks to the works transferred from Saint Petersburg, mostly from the Hermitage. The intention was thus to balance the artistic wealth of both cities and, incidentally, alleviate the saturation of the Hermitage. Also attached to Pushkin were various landscapes and customs scenes from the Tretyakov Gallery, and more than 500 European paintings from the Rumyántsev Museum (dissolved in 1927) along with drawings, engravings, coins and a valuable library. The institution received its current name in 1937, which honors the writer Aleksandr Pushkin. In 1948, the so-called State Museum of Western Art, which had been created with the collections of Sergey Schukin and Ivan Morozov, was dismantled and its collections were divided between the Hermitage and the Pushkin. Thanks to this, both museums have famous impressionist and avant-garde works.

Authentic items and material and great paintings on the liberation of key cities in Europe including the Leningrad and Stalingrad blockade. However, expect Russian patriotism - they are really proud of their military achievements. Museum areal is very big and it takes several hours to get the full experience. The basic entry ticket is around €5. Accompanying texts are translated into English but some of the authentic material were only in Russian. The museum is open late till the evening. On Saturday it closes at 21:30, therefore you can also plan it for the late afternoon.

This museum, which opened in 1995, is home to the world’s biggest permanent collection dedicated to the Great Patriotic War (WWII), spread over 14,143 square metres (152,000 square feet) of exhibition space. In addition to the permanent collection, which includes weaponry, vehicles, war-time photographs, and newsreels among other items, this museum plays host to illuminating temporary exhibitions. More than anything else, the Museum of the Great Patriotic War is an exceptional visual experience – from the luminous Hall of Glory to the heart-wrenching Hall of Remembrance to immersive 3D dioramas, all of which let you revisit the toughest battles of WWII.

Painting exposition in the main building is quite boring. There are no any special art examples. Nice Egypt and Mesopotamia halls. Beautiful sculpture hall. Sometimes there can be good temporary exhibitions, like Bill Viola in the first half of 2021.
