We were a little late to book a hotel for our stay at Mysore and we were running out of options. After exploring all the options available and going through a lot reviews, we thought of taking risk and booked Hotel Roopa. The price was reasonable as we were 3 adults and a child. We booked the suite room and it was not exactly a suite, but was way better than our expectations. Room was clean and spacious and had all the common utilities. Best thing was, Hotel provided us with complimentary breakfast in such a budget price. We stayed there for 2 nights and thoughroughly enjoyed it. Just like everyone else said, location is very good and roof top restaurant offers a nice ambience and tasty food. If you are reading this review and have any doubts about booking Hotel Roopa, rest assured you will not be disappointed.

This is one of the most pathetic hotel I have ever visited. We had booked 2 executive room but we were very disappointed with the size and cleanliness of the room. Morning breakfast, the spread was very limited. We were asked to have tea in plastic glass. When we refused, we were asked to just speak to manager. After escalating to Manager, we were provided proper cups. Overall a very bad experience. Only plus point is the location.

It was the worst stay i ever had. The bathroom had no exhaust. Geyser not working. The worst breakfast it had. Breads cannot be toasted, you will have to eat raw breads. Only south indian cuisine with just two dishes. This hotel is absolutely garbage. Wont recommend it to anyone.

The best thing is the location of the hotel. The rooms are neat and clean. A roof top restaurant is there where most of the food items are available.

The hotel is in the heart of the city with very easy access to the Palace, Zoo, City bus stands. Rooms were spacious and we could easily manage one whole night. Right next to two cinema halls too.

Overall experience was very good. Rooms were a bit old but well maintained and clean. If you are looking for a budget friendly hotel, Roopa is a very good choice. I stayed here during Dusera. When I was trying to book a hotel, all other hotels were charging unnecessarily high rates - 3 to 4 times that of their original amount, but Hotel Roopa did not do that. The rates offered to me were reasonable . Morning breakfast was very tasty for all three days of my stay. Parking was also good. All together, it was a very good experience.

I had booked a Suite Room with Breakfast:- Room Review:- Pro : 1. Room size is decent enough Cons: 1. City view was provided but outside the window it was not clean. Full of spider webs 2. Bed sheets looked old and not cleaned properly 3. In the name of free drinking water, they provide only two 500ml bottle. When asked for more they say it was complimentary, if needed more will cost 37rs per bottle 4. Washrooms were not clean Not even mirrors 5. Room had a pungent smell. We had to spray our own deodorant in the room. 6. AC cooling was very very slow in cooling. Had set the temperature as 16 but felt as 22 7. Staff is not friendly Breakfast :- 1. Only South Indian dishes were available. 2. Bread was available but no toaster to toast 3. When asked for Tea without sugar first they gave a weird face and then prepared it.

Are you a family? , you can get better then this hotel but if budget is concern then it's good option. I stayed a night in single non AC room. I found room was near n clean but found pungent smile inside I assume room was not rented long time. Top roof has bar n restaurant, not good option for vegans.

    1) Good location: All major tourist spots nearby including palace, zoo and aquarium. 2) Room size is fairly big with clean bathrooms. Only one wing is having a blocked view from window. Rest all is fine 3) Best part is the rooftop restaurant. Buffet breakfast is highly recommended. It is affordable and tasty as well. 4) Car parking is available.

I stayed in room number 211 , the stay was good. Bath towels , bed sheets and the room was hygiene. Only problem was hot water , I took a bath at 9:30AM , maybe hot water was not available then. Overall stay was pleasent , because of hot water 4 star review , or easy 5 .

Situated in the heart of the city Mysuru. Not a very new one. Price is normal. Maintenance is good. We didn't have the best experience with this reception. The mode of Thinking them as masters that we observed. Price of juices is high Rooftop bar is there. But, comfortable stay with nice wash room and hot water facilities. Near to Palace and Market is the another plus.

Service is okay, not so great. I didn't like the first room as it was not covering the window properly and got it exchanged for suite room which was better. Their food service is very slow and poor, whatever I ordered they were serving to a different table and after 10 am you don't get anything, start your breakfast by 8 am if you want a good experience.

We visited the roof top restaurant at this hotel, and found it quite good. The food was great, and service, good. The access to the hotel is reasonably accessible. There is a crude ramp, and the elevator is accessible with wheelchairs. However, the restrooms at the hotel are not accessible with wheelchairs. Persons with blindness will need assistance to visit this place. I would recommend this place for an evening meal as it was a little hot when we visited in the afternoon. Accessibility Score: 3 on 5.

Very bad experience photos are different than the reality. If you really want a luxurious hotel this not the choice you will regret your whole trip/vacation, no cleanliness, staff responses really not up to the mark, the receptionist is yelling at as saying we are not giving ID it seems I had booked 4 rooms I m asking ids from my brother and uncles she is just blabbering with some bad English which only her staff can understand so I spoke to her in Kannada onlyπŸ˜‚ NEVER CHOOSE THIS HOTEL THEY ARE NOT UP TO THE MARK PHOTOS ARE NOT REAL

The rooms are in a ugly state, requiring renovation, especially the air conditioning units. Disturbing noise inside the room resulted from water dripping from above onto the AC, preventing us from sleeping at midnight. It's shocking how the owner maintains such poor conditions despite charging high prices for the hotel.

It was a great stay there. It met all needs of an economically norma level family. Kids friendly restaurant. Food was tasty. Staff are good. Parking space is also there. In the town itself. We enjoyed our stay there. Thanks Roopa.

Had a nice stay here. Neat and clean rooms. Worth for the money I've spent. Quality at its best. Room service is great. Roof top restaurant attached bar is awesome. One room is enough for upto 5 people. Rooms are that much big.

Stayed here for 2 days. The first day was okay. The service was decent. The staff was polite. The second day would have been uneventful but me and my family started hearing the sound of a rat. There was a rat somewhere, either inside the room or nearby outside. The second day made me absolutely despise the hotel. The breakfast was expensive and disappointing. The medu vada was small and difficult to break apart. The selection of items was ideal, but the quality of the food was subpar. The hotel is located in a great area, but I would not recommend anyone to stay here.

Hotel quality has deteriorated to the core. We had stayed here a few years before used to be an elite hotel . Not so anymore. Rude staff ( some of them)who were not willing to respond to queries. Since we reached earlier than expected we asked for possibility of early check in and the answer was not appropriate. However the staff who took over the day shift post 9 were cordial and helped us out. AC was not functioning properly in our room. We got cold after sleeping here..implies AC was not cleaned this causing infection. Overall the hotel needs improvement. Situated in a good location though. Will not visit again

This hotel has a great view and rooftop restaurant with food and drinks. It's very nearby from Mysore palace and zoo but overall service is not satisfactory. Need to call multiple times for one thing as they seems to keep forgetting.

Rooms are too small. I booked one luxury room with one extra bed. But in other hotels normal rooms are better than there luxury room. And for extra bed they putted mattress on the floor by saying that's the extra bed. I have stayed in many hotels but this was literally a not acceptable thing.

Horrible rooms. Extremely dirty. Bedsheets, pillow covers and blankets were dirty and torn. Clearly not changed or cleaned regularly. Bathroom taps were leaking. Room and bathroom both had cockroaches. Restaurant wasn't functioning as well.

Booked this place, mainly because of the location but very disappointed with it. The rooms and bathrooms are very small. No hot water at all!! How is one supposed to take a bath?! Very poor services for the price they charge!! The staff have very bad attitude. When we requested for an early check-in at around 10am, we were asked to pay an extra amount of Rs.560/- .. but just for 2hrs?! Basically, they should pay me because they gave us rooms without water!?!!! After almost more than an hour of waiting, one of the substaffs got us half a bucket of hot water. Is half a bucket enough for two individuals to take bath??! Unfortunately, this is the standard here! This place needs lots of improvement! Highly disappointed with this place! Would never recommend it to anyone!! Very bad experience overall.

Worst ever room 1) room smells dust. Even people not having allergy can’t survive here 2)very old building. Just the entrance is renovated. don’t book with the photos given in their site or google 3)no exhaust fan in bathroom. Old fittings. 4)Had complimentary breakfast but didn’t take the risk to have it. 5) broken switches 6) During peak time(last week of December) rates are high 7)Near main road, noisy surroundings Please go for better options, not so near to mysore palace, if you are coming by own vehicle.

Kind of ok type stay. Rooms are very basic. If found room on lesser price then its a good deal else paying around 1000 is not worth it. Has decent parking and has breakfast package which is good and the staff too are friendly n helpful.

  • 5/5 CALLISTUS D. 2 years ago on Google
The room had a good clean fill and was nightly spacious. The huge curtains, the air-conditioning, the service and the TV entertainment (choice of channels) was quite good. The room service was fast, but the range of beers could be improved. The breakfast will be delivered at your room on request and the total response of all the staff was good. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a relaxed weekend in Mysore.

the rooms are not up to standard at all and just look like something that was upgraded from previously being run down. the ceilings and walls have rain water stains, and it was leaking as well. the bedsheets and pillows also had stains. the windows coatings were literally peeling off, not a very pleasant sight to the eyes. definitely a huge disappointment for a 3 star hotel. it was a very terrible experience.

Pros: located at the center of Mysore, all the places of attractions nearby. Reasonably good parking. Breakfast food. Rooms are average. Cons: The roof top dining place was not tidy.

First of we booked this rooms through aguda and got for β‚Ή977/- per day and we choose to have buffet breakfast which cost 200/- more which is completely worth. Rooms were not exactly as shown. It's very old building but they have maintained well. Breakfast was taste but breakfast timing was late like Starts from 8. It would b great if they start 7. Rooftop we had dinner which was very very pricey. Alcohol were double the rate from regular. Food quality was good but was really costly. One plate gobi nanchuri was costing ya β‚Ή278/- which s not worth. Overall service was good. I would recommend for this hotel but not the roof top for dinners. Make sure to take the buffet breakfastπŸ³β˜•πŸž Best thing was it's very near to everything the places that you wish to watch Thanks hotel roopa

Worst experience of rooms, bed bugs bed bugs and bed bugs..... Room is very hot. No sleep at all... I am posting in the mid of the night without sleep... came here after a traveling a lot and wanted a pleasant sleep but due to the bed bugs and no air and room is hot not able to sleep... Very Old rooms, there is no comparison with the pics. Shower and tap gets on at same time. Later when I have complained, thay have changed to AC room in mid night which is good and compensated as possible way.

The hotel is located just 200meters away from the Mysore bus stand. The room service here what I felt is not up to the mark. Also they should plan for the renovation of the rooms and atleast the bathrooms . The hotel is budget friendly.

Giving two stars only for the location and breakfast quality of this hotel. Rooms and bathrooms are dull, extra small, not at all maintained. Staffs are so much annoying, not at all helpful. Check in procedure is too much lengthy. If anyone can get another hotel in the nearby area in this price segment, please go there, never book this hotel.

I recently stayed at Hotel Roopa in Mysore and had a mixed experience. What I Liked: 1. The staff at the hotel were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. 2. The hotel's location is convenient and easily accessible, making it a suitable choice for exploring Mysore. What I Didn't Like: 1. The hotel's corridor and lift were poorly managed, giving a negative first impression upon arrival. 2. The paint in the corridor was peeling off in slices, which detracted from the overall cleanliness and aesthetics of the hotel. 3. The curtains in the room appeared to have not been washed in quite some time, which was disappointing for a hotel aiming for a comfortable stay. 4. The wardrobe in the room seemed very old and showed signs of termite damage, which was concerning for the condition of the furniture. In summary, while the staff's friendliness and the hotel's location were positive aspects, the overall cleanliness and maintenance left much to be desired. I hope these issues can be addressed to improve the value for money and overall experience for future guests.
