If you are looking for a hotel in the heart of Mysore with food you can order at finger tips, this is the place. But don't expect any kind of customer friendliness or support in your lodging. An old styled/old fashioned way of customer service - not putting customers first. Rude front office staff (particularly the seemingly senior guys who still retain their truck loads of attitude and rude behavior), just don't know to say no politely. Old/washed out bathroom curtains, not spic n span toilets and eternal wait for any request placed to the room service. But the location, logistics/access to good, vegetarian food etc deserve 2 stars for this place!

Very old and famous restaurant of Mysore, which is known for vegetarian south Indian meals. Even though they serve North Indian and few Chinese dishes, they are well known for South Indian meals. Tips- During Holidays and weekends, it's absolutely crowded.

Visited for lunch. Could not find any other veg hotel and had to compromise with this. Not so good on taste. Experiencing this for the second time. You are served with cold food. Taste below average. Highly priced.

Stale food.. I took the whole family to get a good meal here, willing to spend more money for it. But when Siddharth went to the hotel, he was disappointed ... He literally gave him stale food for the price .. When he told him, he got angry .. He refused to give anything else. Finally came back without eating .. Too bad experience ...

We stayed here for a day. Hotel was located on main Street. Hotel has huge car parking facility. It has a restaurant and food was good. We had lunch over there. Price was moderate expensive. Rooms were clean and tidy. Staffs are good. Mysore zoo and Palace is just 1.5 kilometres from the hotel.

Used to be my go to place for South Indian breakfast in Mysore for a while. The food quality is now average and service is generally good but a little slow. It gets busy on weekend mornings but you will get a table in the AC hall.

Best place for amazing breakfast, dosa, Puri, and loads of options. The billing guy was rude I think he was temporarily sitting there so acting that way. The service guy was good after we paid a good tip. ;-) Clean with plenty parking for car.

We went there for lunch this week. North Indian food was very tasty. However, it's the crowd that needs to be managed.. they need to add few more tables, and waiters. Also, inspite of calling themselves 'fine dining restaurant', it turns out to be 'self service ' because of all the rush!

If you're booking cab, they will definitely take you there. But taste was good. Meals are good. North indian meals are okay but its limited and taste was not like north indian food. South indian food is also 140rs. You will get extra sambar n all. Better to try south indian meals.

We were looking for North Indian food in Mysore. They serve good food. Mr. Sagar is an amazing waiter. He was polite and knew what kind of food we would like. Though it wasn't an authentic North Indian food but still it was better than any other North Indian food which was being served in South.

Hotel is well known for its multi cuisine restaurant Om Shanti, food is awesome and the prices are very very reasonable, service is very fast and prompt, staff is very courteous. Here you can get authentic South Indian taste. Hotel also figures into the luxury hotels of the city and provides accommodation facilities at very competitive prices. Recommended !!

It's crowded crazily, if you plan to have lunch. There are no reservations when I went. You wait for other tables to get free and quickly sit to occupy. The food is served hot, but taste is okay. The cleanliness of the place is average as the place is too crowded during lunch time. I think it was β‚Ή150 per plate for sound Indian thali. Restrooms are available and maintained to some extent.

COSTLY FOOD NO SO GOOD FOOD. I dont mind paying money for a good food, but it is not worth in here. There was a time there when it had awesome food and was a great experience to dine in here. Although it is good experience still but the food quality has dropped significantly. You can go in here just because you are hungry and happend to be arround this hotel. But going to Sidhartha for a nice lunch or dinner? IT IS NO MORE that place what it used to be.

One of the best vegetarian restaurants in Mysore. It is located at the center of the city (near palace and bus stand). There is ample parking space. The ambience is good. The food is tasty and quality of service is very good.

These are my ratings Food- 7/10 Ambience- 5/10 Cleanliness-6/10 average for having a simple lunch and good for breakfast. In here though, the menu is very limited like i have the photos of the menu below, and you can see how limited it is. Not a good place for family,go there if you are single. The ambience is very poor, like there are enough staff, but they don't care about you, like the ignore whatever you say. O erall,i will say that it was an average restaurant.

Today we have visited this restaurant for lunch. Manager is very rude and he dont know how to behaviour with customer. My son (2year)was feeling sleepy so he slept on the sofa. Suddenly manager came and said this is not right and you cant allow your son to sleep on sofa as we have less seat. There were almost 20 sofas empty however he said it will get filled within 10min and he said customers are not important and asked us to leave. I have never seen such money minded restaurant in my life. I request no one visit this hotel and show them the value of the customer.

Rooms can be much more tidy. For 2 adults 1 kid, they provide just one soap. No brush is given. House keeping takes a lot of time. Food is nice, tasty and affordable. Room service is good. No complimentary breakfast, no water bottles provided, Overall, an average stay.

Hotel is hyped up because of its past history & I've had good experiences in the past, but no longer these days ! - Food was ok but not much options. Manager said order everything in one go, we don't have time ! Dude, then why did you open a hotel ? - Manager busy blasting his staff. A staff guy set 1 family onto 1 table, then manager came & blasted & changed the table.

Centrally located. VERY crowded on weekends. So much that, they weren't ready to give us 2 tables for 10 people. Waiting during rush hours is fine but the 'take it if you like' attitude wasn't great...

Stayed with family. Executive AC room was spacious and well maintained. They provide only a measly, bland soap and 3 towels. No other toilet kit provided, so carry your own. Check in and out was smooth. Biggest con is - no room service for food and drink. The bellboy asks you to go down to the restaurant. Grudgingly said he would get us coffee or milk in emergency, otherwise no other service. Restaurant is the biggest let down in this place. As a previously regular visitor, I went with fond memories of the yummy good but had a major disappointment. Quality of food was absolutely terrible. Despite requesting low spice food for a toddler, it was extremely spicy with no other taste at all. Service is very slow, and you have to literally keep calling the waiters multiple times to get served. Even coffee, being in mysore, was bad! Hard to beat that. And the managers don't seem to care about the feedback since the crowds are still flocking anyway. Go for the rooms and location if you really want to. Otherwise there are several other options now at the same pricing. Definitely skip the restaurant! Giving two stars only for the room cleanliness.

The hotel is good. Room is clean and most importantly there is huge temperature difference between inside and outside which is very important for the summer here. The location is ideal ( although surrounded by one way streets ) it’s very good. The staff were very warm and accommodating. Helped me get an early checkin following my need for the room with my young daughter during our trip. The hot water is a twist away throughout the clock, the staff is very very warm. Price is at a good value point in my opinion. Side note on restaurant : the place has a restaurant of its own and it serves good food. Not the food you would wish to have over and over again but serves the need.

Had lunch today. Bit crowded but was able to get a seat in their AC restaurant. They have a good variety of South Indian, Tandoori and Chinese vegetarian options. We ordered Chinese noodles and Fried Rice. It was ok and nothing much to write home about.

Go to place for lunch or dinner whenever we visit mysuru! This place has survived the times and grown better interms of service, quality of food and maintaining the place well! I remember visiting this place as a kid and seeing those fishes in the aquarium made me happy and it still does 😊 thanks to the establishment for maintaining the place and aquarium well! The food is all delicious, worth the money and service is also on time! Most important detail of this restaurant/hotel is the ample space for parking, in the heart of the city and at just walking distance from palace and bus stop!

The hotel is one of the best for vegetarian food. The quality of food is good. Services are slow but ok. Staff is untrained that's the fact or probably unsatisfied with the management. That's what the message one gets looking at their faces. Very rarely one smiles. Ambiance is good. Near and Clean. One of the favourite locations for tourists hence it's always rush time here.

This is a very good hotel. It has its own legacy to it. The rooms were neat. Management can go for some upgrade in the coming years. The restaurant is also good with delicious food. However I felt it was a bit costly. I would definitely recommend this hotel since the location is perfect to roam around in mysuru.

We arrived for lunch and had an incredibly unpleasant experience. The food served was unpleasantly odorous and seemed old. The manager acknowledged a lack of freshness in the kitchen. Despite returning all the food, we were kept waiting for over an hour and still charged. It feels like they're thriving on their customers' dissatisfaction.

One of the worst hotels which I have ever seen. No charge points only 1 is working. That too, Very worst switch boards. No hot water, no hair dryer, nothing. We paid 4500 which is completely waste of money. I want my money back. Nobody will care to lift your calls from the room for service. Such a worst experience ever!

The hotel is very convenient to stop by owing to its presence in the heart of the city. The food is great and the filter coffee is to die for. It’s mostly crowded so expect some waiting time. The only downside is the washrooms. They are not very clean and maintained. Heard from my family members that the ladies washroom was stinky. Otherwise the hotel is a great place to stop by for a quick snack.

Established restaurant. Hence one can experience some waiting time for the table. But food prep is pretty fast. So you won't wait much after you order. Quality food. North Indian Thali is yummy. Quantity is Huge. South India Thali is authentic south Indian with standard kootu, poriyal and all.

4 stars for the Ambience, Ghee Pongal and Coffee. A very cosy morning breakfast place in Mysore. So many options are available for breakfast. Been here several times since years or a decade. The review is about a recent visit in 2021 January. Masala Dosa was average and nothing to write home about. Ghee Pongal was spicy and satisfying. It is in both Tamilnadu and Karnataka style. The texture and taste is mostly Tamil Nadu style accompanied with Chutney. The spice level is Karnataka style, with green chilies. Poori saagu was average. So was the Idly vada Sambhar. Mini idlies are available. Had bread toast with butter and Jam. It was okay. Overall good ambience and busy breakfast place. Getting seat is easy, the place has got enough seats. Pricing is reasonable.

Decent place a stay in Mysore. Restaurant serves good veg food. But the rooms require big time maintenance. They had refurbished the rooms few years back but all seem to be down the drain for lack of professional upkeep of the property.

Two star less. Rest room is very small as only one person can use it at any time. Service needs to be improved. Management has to think about this seriously. Appreciate the implementation of robot service.

We had dinner at Om Shanthi restaurant of Siddharta hotel late in the evening. It was too crowded even at that time but the waiters/bearers were swirling briskly and happily serving the guests. Salute to those sincere 'soldiers' who fill the craving stomachs with delicious food prepared by the unseen chefs.

It's a bad combination of tasty food and bad service by staff ( probably there is not enough staff strength for which the management is actually responsible , not the staff themselves). Situated at a prime location they will definitely get to do business even if the service is poor. Food was not served to the room even after a request was made. It's a crowded place all times of day. Difficult to get a seat at the restaurant always. Shortage of AC rooms.

Situated in the heart of the city, it is one of the best vegetarian hotels in Mysuru. The food is just phenomenal & it is crowded most of the time. Rooms are also pretty spacious & well maintained.

The food is good and hygienic. However the service can be improved. The main attraction is the robot service. I would highly recommend the coffee. It's one of the best coffee I've tasted in Mysore. There is seating space for family and friends, it may get crowded sometimes. No issues for parking as well. Centrally located in the city.

Had been here at the restaurant, was too crowded on a Saturday. The menu was good and also the taste. Service was little late and that could be due to the rush of tourists. There is a large parking area available. Location is near to the zoo, palace and the exhibition grounds. For tourists, this is the best accessible and good restaurant around this area. If not a tourist, you still can find better restaurant around.

Food is good. Service is also quick and fine. But their special platers which we have ordered are very much spicy and were not able to be eaten. Apart from that all the other dishes were good .

Place to partake in vegetarian cuisine of multiple varieties. Very popular with locals in Mysuru as well as tourists. Prices are reasonable and the maintenance is quite good. Due to its popularity, the place is crowded during peak hours. Management might do well to extend business space for mutual benefit.

Rooms don’t look well maintained. Appears very good from outside but when we get to rooms, they feel very dull. Service experience is sub-optimal. But one big advantage is they have really good vegetarian food options. Overall Decent stay for the location as it’s very close to many popular destinations.

Not upto my expectations. Tables not cleaned properly. Sloppy and delayed service. Food is not that great. Although old hotel , location is excellent. The supervisors don't make waiters deliver on time. If you had whole day to waste, then we can go here. Not a great experience at all. Sorry, i went there.

Has deteriorated in taste for sure. Tomato soup was not good. Biriyani was bland with nothing in it. It was just coloured rice. They need to work lot more on service and cleanliness in restaurant. Will not go again. They need to learn from Bangalore hotels on taste

Worst food. We had south Indian dinner. The quality of food is very low. Totally Tasteless. Bit rate is high. Further, ordered for Gobi. It was also normal and no crpsy. Wasted money.

Restaurant looks good from outside but not worth inside, onion dosa was sticky and tea was not at all worthy. Even outside tea stall has better tea than Sidharta. If something is not good they have to accept it, they are not serving items for free.

Bathrooms have broken taps, rusted mirrors, no soap box or liquid soap dispenser containers. While this is a budget hotel, we were expecting some basic items which were missing. Hot water in the bathrooms are available only until 9 am. So if you are a late riser, expect cold showers. The hotel support staff, at least 3 of them lined up when we checked out, silently expecting tips. Food is delicious though. And the fact that the hotel is centrally located is a plus.

Food was very bad. For the first time I tasted sweet chowmin, with literal sugar crystals. Servers didn’t even knew about the items mentioned in the menu and half of the menu items were not available. They were courteous enough to take back the Chinese items and not adding it to the bill.
