Laid back ambience, ample parking space, good service. An excellent place for a laid back dinner or lunch. The place have an unmistakable old world charm. The food was good. The starters were really good. The mains - we ordered fried rice and noodles and they where below expectation. The place is esay to locate and there is ample parking space.

I went for a birthday party, place is very nice, peaceful. food is average, they have work on taste. Service is good, people are polite and there is nice parking space. Not sure about Rooms

The Roost is no more what it was once a upon a time. Be it the welcoming atmosphere, customer friendly obliging staff or the taste of the food or the price. The soup was cold by the time it was served and bland. Most starters on the menu were not available. The ones which were served were overpriced, oily and pungent. Very less options for vegetarians. The attitude of the bearers was callous and unresponsive to the feedback of the customers. There was no attempt by the management to rectify their shortcomings. Instead, they were ignorant. Kindly take this as a wake up call, failing which you'll lose ur patronage and mysore city will lose a once great restaurant.

Today we have reached here at 9.45pm after long drive. The service was very bad. when we asked for soup, the supplier told he can not supply as the all in the kitchen are very busy. His behaviour was not friendly.....We did not get glassess for water. After we call them and remind many times, finallely they came with glasses which are not even washed properly. .. It was very good hotel earlier .we used to go there ..now after long time when we visited again, our experience was totally diappointing....

Parking space: For almost 40 cars. Ambience: Open type architecture. No AC restaurant. Day time under the big varanda. Night lawn can be used for dining. Separate dining area for family and others. Food: Good Verity of food options with moderate price. Taste varies from ok to good. Desert: limited menu. Over priced. Over-all: 7.5 out of 10.

The worst food ever I had.. food was completely waste..Roost has lost the charm and the heritage.. i suggest don't visit

Mr Dileep the owner of the place is always around greeting people and doing his best to take good care of the customer's. The food tastes great, service and faculty are really on their toes to help the customer's out.. Had a really great time..

Chutiya Kat Gaya Experience! Everything we ordered including salad was too damn spicy red hot. Ordered Dishes: * Pork Chudles (1/5) * Pork Pandi Curry (1/5) * Tandoor Salad (1/5) * Tandoor Roti (4/5) We also ordered Pork Chops & Caramel Custard but was not Available even though it was mentioned in the Menu! Overall a disastrous experience!

Location and ambiance are good. Well maintained garden, clean furniture. Food was served in old and shabby steel bowls, faded plastic plates. When it comes to food, only chilly pork was good. The paneer manchurian was tasted like the street food, highly disappointed with biriyani as there was no biriyani flavor. Instead, I felt like mutton pieces were added to tomato rice. Food are overpriced for the quality.

Ample space all around, tiled buildings, stone facade green lawns, all make for a pleasant experience. However, the food was too spicy, in spite of asking them to tone it down. Even the noodles had a helping of pepper. Serving portions were smaller than normal. Service was ok. Adequate parking and clean restrooms.

A good to place if you prefer good selection of Indian non vegetarian dishes and bar menu. The places offers nice selection of all basic indian liquors.They also serve pork and it is usually prepared in kodava style of cusine.

Service is extremely slow. Taste is below average. Just a 10/10 for ambience. We had ordered Hyderabadi biriyani and it had capsicum in it. I can't imagine capsicum in biriyani and it was red in colour and too spicy.

Had a Birthday party arranged for Uncle. Good menu for non veg and veg. Must try dessert, mutton biryani and chicken options. Cake cutting stage was good and the staff was friendly and knew there work. The bar and lunch arrangements were just perfect. Needed decoration and projector, They arranged at a short notice. Liquor, breezers and soft drinks were arranged. No discount offered. Need to improve on the telephone etiquette and land line is always busy, could not connect.

The food quality is very poor. Non vegetarian food is iterally pathetic, it was having vegetables in it surprisingly. There were no service person to handle the order. We ordered food and it came in parts and pieces that too after waiting for an hour. They served one Roti and then nobody was there to attend and provide the remaining food and ofcourse we again waited for 20-25 mins for getting the second roti. Also the rates are very higher which was not at all worthy. Waste of money it is. Good suggestion would be plesse don't go to this restaurant and waste your time, money & specifically your hunger !!!

Good spacious ....evening mosquitoes problem ..so better no Bermuda You don't get regular parottas..it's tandoori parottas only Pandy curry is awesome.

Great food. Best chilli pork in Mysore hands down. The drinks were great and reasonably priced. We had beer and multiple servings of chilli pork and chicken lollipop. Good food. Main course was also good. Good table service.

Very good Bar & Restaurant. They can arrange functions like Coorg weddings very well for reasonable crowd of say 200 people. Place is convenient for other functions like naming ceremony, AGMs, etc. Food & services are excellent.

Still one of the best places in Namma Mysuru. If you are a pork eater then you can't miss their signature pork dishes. Otherwise the food is pretty good and they seem to have retained the charm and essence of this place so far!

Though Roost is very old resort of Mysore, they have maintained the Quality & Hygiene. Both Indoor & Lawn are good.

Atmosphere is good,but coming to food only pork dry is good other than that everything else is bad ,they added more oil in Noodles,we ordered kashmiri pulao it's not Kashmiri pulao it's kind of veg pulao and added lots and lots of food colour that made it to look like volcano For name sake they added some apple and banana pieces, whereas we were expecting it with lots of nuts, dry fruits and fresh fruits... really disappointed.

Had been with my friends food was good but was very late at service and they are least bothered about the new customers coming to thier hotel and concentrate only on regular customers They never serve the dishes and there were lot of musquitos in the garden where we were sitting for dinner People travel from long place so the hotel Management has to focus and provide best service I hope it will be improved

Very nice place. Service was fast. Food was good but a few items we ordered tasted almost the same and dishes was very expensive for the low, very small quantity. At 10pm itself they didn't have chilled beer. They offered warm beer instead. But we enjoyed it and that's what matters.

Chicken clear soup was good. Chilly pork and pork curry was okay. Akki otti (rice roti) was not good at all, it wasn't made the traditional way, so it lacked quality. Service was good and the beeda shop within the premises was also nice. Ambience also good. Maybe the rest of the menu was good but all these were okay.

Loved it, Especially egg manchuri. Price is also not costly. People are very hospitable, not even said anything even though we took quite a lot of time to finish food (until 12 AM, yes AM😅) On highway, parking is available and even places are reserved for families. Overall, you can go to this resto, without thinking for 2nd time

The vintage evergreen place of Mysore. This place is a vibe in itself. It was a go to place for families in the weekend. The place is neat, clean and attractive. The staff are very experienced and courteous. The taste is really good. Mutton pepper fry boneless was very flavourful and juicy. Chicken chilli dry was just outstanding. The boneless pieces literally melted in our mouth. Basa fish was good. Biryani was actually fried rice but it tasted good. Even Palak rice was good. Cheese cherry pineapple was just ok. They should have given it cold. Mocktails can be skipped. Must visit place for families for its vibe, taste and ambience.
