Tasty and delicious Biriyani of a different kind. Served in traditional style plate made of leaves woven together to resemble olden days, but in a hygenic way. Quantity offered in one portion is sufficient for two people. Parking space may be an issue during business hours as the surroundings are bit congested.

The mutton pulav tastes like yakhni pulav. It’s non spicy rice dish . The mutton chops are a must try too. The village goli soda completed our meal. Overall a decent place for good homely food.

The biryani was awesome and smoky as I wanted it to be. Mutton pieces were juicy and soft. Overall a good experience.

Famous for its mutton pulav .. this place is crazy when comes to local food people come have quick meal of mutton pulav n gravy n move .. here the food is made on wood fire traditionally served with great love . Simple yet authentic food made with simple ingredients gives it a boost of flavours. Served on newspaper n patal plate without spoon .. that’s how people like to eat .

Visited the place as it was a very old restaurant at Mysore and the hype to have food there was very high as I gathered information from local people. But the taste was very normal and a very unhygienic place to visit as per my view. The chicken kebab was too oily and it's not worth a visit for me.

The place is a little cosy with no restroom and the place doesn't have the AC rooms or special place to have separate family dine. It's a little shop with accommodation of 10 people together. Food is nice and yummy. No wheelchair options

The name did not live up to the hype. The chicken was dry and stringy and the pulav rice didn’t have much flavor. The only waiter around had too many things to juggle and almost all of us had to wait for our side orders. The pulav quantity was pretty good but the taste wasn’t that great.

Must try mutton biryani in mysore and also mutton chops, mutton liver. In my opinion anyone want to taste the authentic mutton varieties go for it.

The restaurant is somewhat located among the congested road. Parking is difficult for any wheelers. Place also has a congested seating arrangement. The waiter was quick to take orders and serve quickly . Pulao tasted good, but the quantity was not adequate considering the price. Chicken chops was too oily. The place always had the rush. Maybe we can try for one time experience

Located in the bylanes of Mandi mohalla, this restaurant is famous spot for their signature Mutton pulav. It’s difficult to find Hotel Hanumanthu as google shows at least 5 restaurants in the same name. However, we reached this place from their site. There is no parking space for four wheelers. The owner himself served us. He’s very polite, courteous and helpful. We had mutton pulav and mutton keema balls. Quality of mutton was very good. It was juicy, tender and well cooked. However, the pulav and keema balls are average. The quality of the food did not match with the hype the restaurant has created all around. Final verdict- recommended only if you can not overcome the desire of tasting the mutton pulav once as this preparation is a part of every β€˜foods you can not miss in Mysore’ list. Otherwise you may skip it.

The taste of the mutton pulav is good, the thing that ruined my experience was that I got a lot of bone chips in the biriyani, otherwise the masala is good and service was fast.. things could be improved given the price.. overall it's an okay place to go, food was extraordinary but ambience needs improvement

First and foremost, finding a parking space may be an issue during business hours as the surroundings are a bit congested and the lane is narrow. Do try the Mutton Pulao and Mutton Biryani. The Chicken Biryani also seems on par in taste with mutton dishes as well. The Fried Chicken, Mutton Kheema Balls and Chilli Chicken are good additions with the pulao. This restaurant is a family owned one that has been passed down generations and the menu has not changed much over the years due to it (except the prices, ofcourse!!). This is a must-visit food joint for everyone visiting Mysuru. The meat served (on most days) here is well-cooked and tender with the right proportion of spice mix.

Don't fall for the hype. This is nothing compared to our Hosakote biriyanis. Soup was good. I ordered Naati Koli chicken pulav, but they have mixed broiler chicken in it. Taste was worse, we couldn't even eat 30% of what they gave. Please have some normal bf/lunch at any other places instead of this.

Biryani is really great, but better to get it delivered or pickup, very small place, will have to wait outside on all days of the week, even if you get your turn you better be a group of 4 if not you'll be seated with others on a table so small you don't know who's eating from which plate. But that's the accepted ways in Mysore.

Never buy parcel for dinner, they sell even if the food is spoiled. No proper response for complaining on spoiled food. Quality is important more than taste pls check the food before serving.

A very popular, famous and traditional eatout famous for its homely Chicken and Mutton Biriyani in the heart of Mysuru. Frequented by regulars and curious first timers, the place a very small and cosy restaurant. The biryani is tasty and traditional. Other items like kebabs and curries are also served. Parking space is a problem as the lane is quite narrow. Pricing is average, not cheaper given the location and ambience. Not very bad.

For a Hyderabadi to rate another biryani 5* there must be really something in it. Yes, it's the authenticity!! not being intimidated by other influences these guys are doing a fab job for over 90 years of what they know best. Hanumanthu biryani their taste blend with that of city Mysuru.

Tried Mutton Pulav, mutton liver and chicken kabab. Mutton Pulav was delicious, the rice had good flavour and the mutton pieces were also cooked well. A full mutton Pulav would be sufficient for 1.5 people. Raita served with the pulav was too watery and the side gravy was untouched. Mutton liver was below average and had a raw taste. Chicken kabab too was below average. The outside crust was good, but the chicken tasted too plain on the inside. The hotel is really small and around 8 people can make the place feel cramped. Could not find a dedicated parking space and one might need to park his vehicle on the roadside. Price for Mutton Pulav, mutton liver and chicken kebab - 630 INR

This restaurant is an average option for males, but it is not recommended for families. They are no longer serving free drinking water and instead offering bottled water. The quality and taste of the food have deteriorated significantly. The location and the hotel itself are not up to par with their reputation, and it appears that the management is solely focused on making money

  • 1/5 Rahul M. 10 months ago on Google
I have ordered 1 chicken and 1 mutton pulav. The pieces were dry and the rice was flavor less. The Chicken pulav had a smoky taste. I heard great reviews about this pulav and was literally shocked after tasting it. Mutton was somehow eatable but chicken was unbearable. I normally never waste any food but I was helpless :(

Good food. Had issue in parking as it's a busy street. The staff are friendly. Had Muttom Pulav with , Keima and Chicken kabab. Pulav was great it has a authentic taste. Sorry to say that Keima was horrible. Seem like they had mixed some flour with meat, that didn't taste good. Chicken Kabab looked and tasted good. Recommend this place at least once if you planned to visit Mysore.

Pathetic!!! Only the mutton was cooked well!!! There was some weird smell in the food. We had 4 mutton pulao, and we just had a couple of spoons. All 4 us just put the remaining to Dogs. No Masala, no salt, no taste, just coriander rice!!!

Place is located next to the main road so parking is an issue here, Pullav was good but the gravy sucked, 1 full plate pullav fills you out quantity is good and kababs are ok not that great. They have two family tables and the rest are 4 seaters, ambience was not that great!!

  • 5/5 Rahul R K. 3 years ago on Google
Definitely worth the visit. The rice and mutton was cooked to perfection. Mutton was tender and juicy and rice was soft and tasted heavenly. It's not a typical Biryani with too much spices and masala. This is a Nati style Pulav which is cooked in firewood. Quantity is also sumptuous. Highly recommended ❀️

  • 4/5 Niveditha N. 3 years ago on Google
I went to the hotel just for the mutton biryani. Rice was good but the pieces weren't tender. Kabab was tender and juicy. Keema was not that tasty. Hotel is old fashioned so don't expect cushion seats.
