Stayed in Courtyard room where guests are treated like second class citizens. Being far there is no room service which we accepted as no other rooms were available. But no room service also means the lights don't work, the minibar does not work, so h can't even store some snacks for your kid. The path to the courtyard rooms has got a sewer leak somewhere, emanating a stench, so it does not give a hospitable feel. Still acceptable. But when our kid got injured and could not be taken all the way to dining room, they agreed to provide room service for one meal, but only in name. The restaurant deliberately didn't pick up calls and despite repeatedly calling the reception they didn't send a person or even call back. By the time I created a fuss and got a semblance of service, my kid had slept for the night without his dinner. Property is otherwise fine, food was tasty though the restaurant service is snail paced and chaotic but it's at such times of need that a hotel and it's staff normally shine. But this place disappointed terribly. Avoid if u have kids or elderly with you. Especially the Courtyard rooms unless one prefers "step-motherly" treatment.

The service at the restaurant has improved significantly. During our previous visit, we left feeling frustrated because there were delays in serving each dish. However, during today's dinner, the staff took great care in serving every dish, including starters, drinks, and the main course. The individuals taking orders and serving paid close attention to detail and consistently checked if we needed anything. They were particularly helpful to families with small children. We commend them for their excellent work.

Clean and well maintained rooms with fantastic view and surroundings. It's a huge resort with great food from olive garden. However there aren't much options of indoor and outdoor games. The ones they have are not maintained which could be due to the pandemic lockdowns. Suggest the resort to have more well maintained activities and games.

This is the second time I’m staying at the resort and I would rate the overall experience as 3.5 to be honest. I’ll start with the rooms which are kept neat and clean. I loved the ambience of the room, very cosy and I honestly wanted to stay in all day. The activities at the resort are many like mini golf, badminton, archery , pool table, TT table etc however majority are broken and terribly maintained. The only decent game that can be played would be badminton and table tennis. Apart from the above , there is a lovely swimming pool. Lastly I’d touch on the food. I was a bit disappointed with the food here. Lunch and dinner wasn’t up to the mark and a lot of fried stuff seemed old and very oily. Their breakfast menu is absolutely delicious that made up for the poor lunch/ dinner. Overall , I’d visit for a small getaway and some peace and alot of relaxation…

Pros: Had a great experience at this place. The location is perfect, surrounded by greenery both inside and out. The campus is child friendly, is landscaped well and is clean. Good amenities and great food. The breakfast buffet is amazing. The rooms are huge; easily the biggest I've seen in any hotel or resort for the price paid. Cons: Room service takes ages (in-room dining). Also, one thing that leaves a slightly bad taste in the mouth is that while checking out, a couple of people who work there (i won't mention who) keep hanging around and saluting you, waiting around for tips even though they are tipped through the stay. The staff are definitely hard working, helpful and courteous and deserve to be rewarded, but this gets a bit awkward. Overall, it's a great place and i would definitely go back if the occasion rises.

Extraordinary experience in this amazing property...A beautiful spread of nature with long Coco and palm trees, having beautiful ducks traveling all through the resort... Comfortable stay. Luxurious rooms with extra space, hygienic, neat, comfy washrooms and a big balcony...We reserved a premium room with open shower(option)... Food was amazing, served with smile...They give you a home like feeling... We travelled with our infant and they offere all meals free for her...This was a very nice gesture...

The property is very good and the service was great 2 years back (2021) but the now housekeeping staff is very bad. Even the check ins were late. When we checked in the room. The basic things like towel, floor mat, toiletries were missing and it really took 3 hours for the house keeping staff to provide the same. The food is good but the morning complimentary buffet is pathetic. No variety and even the food was bad. Swimming pool is good but again the pool bathrooms are not clean. They have limited games but you can have a good time.

Excellent ambient open environment maintained spotlessly. Had an overwhelmingly amazing time here. The open areas are exhilarating and really relaxing. The stay there was really comfortable. Little costly but you get your every Penny's worth. The customer help service is also really satisfactory. Would recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Location of this place is away from the city hustle and makes it a peaceful location. The campus is pretty big and very well kept. Rooms are very good, spacious. The view from the balcony opening in front of the water body gives you a relaxing vibe immediately. Toilets are big but it does show its age. Restaurant in the campus is very good but the service is on the slower side. I would love to visit this property once again and probably stay a little longer as well.

Well maintained and clean ambience. The surroundings and view in mornings were the best but only thing being disappointed of my 2 times visiting to the resort is the STAFF The staff are not well trained with service ethics, we need to call 10 times to the reception for house keeping or room service. The food taste is not worth for what we pay! One of the staff member gave a rude reply while we asked "why was the sanwich cold" they serve cold stuff and while questioned they just be so rude . Bad experience with food but the resort and rooms where good place to have good times

It used to be a great place. Now no!! Horrible stay ever in my life. Zero maintenance. The room was dirty and when requested to clean also it was not done. Hospitality is horrible. There was no fridge when we went. When complained they got a fridge that was not working. Even outside the room the ambience is gone. The wooden deck for premium studio rooms is so bad if u step on it, it might break. So definitely NO NO for kids. The breakfast was so horrible. Never expected WINDFLOWER to lose it standards so badly.

Beautiful place, very well maintained. Spacious rooms, rooms have all facility. Elegant and tasty breakfast with many options. Few things can be better, closed parking can be maintained, the pathway from the lobby to the restaurant during night needs few more lights. Road from the deputy commissioner office to resort doesn't have a single street light.

Location is beautiful. Food is tasty. Rooms are big but needs renovation and deep cleaning. Sports facilities could have been better. Overall a bit overpriced in present the infrastructure.

I had been to the property for my anniversary celebration and was very disappointed. They told me that there will be pastry welcoming us but it was a fake promise. They told we can order cake but that provision was not provided. Upon reaching the property received welcome drink in glasses that were not clean and filled unevenly. The taste was pathetic. Couldn’t guess what it was and didn’t want to ask also. The room was big but not maintained properly. We were a family of 3 and they gave us room with twin bed joint and sold as room with king sized bed. The mattress was hard and due to the joint beds sleeping for 3 of us was disaster. The bathroom was disgusting as the toilet was not well cleaned and the hand-shower was rusted. The door was creaking all the time and at night there were strange noises. The fan was making a loud noise and every-time there was power cut the fans noise got louder. The potpourri were full of dust kept under ac vent filling the entire room with dust. The food was okay but the service was bad at the restaurant. The refrigerator was broken and we asked for help the person came and checked and told it will cool in sometime. When we insisted he said he will replace and then came and replaced. There was lot of resistance in doing the job. There were lot of mosquitoes. Swimming pool was not clean and the kids play area was not at all safe. There was broken slide which could hurt children and swings were wobbly. The trampoline was not stable and the archery equipments were not maintained and were dangerous to use. The buffet breakfast spread was good but the place was very congested with flies and insects. There were more people than tables arranged. They are not flexible with check in and out timings. I paid 8000 for this experience which I felt money down the drain. The location is good near to major attractions but 500m road is not in good condition. Please think once before considering this option

I would give their staff and their restaurant a five star rating, excellent service and the food was great. I was highly disappointed with the property condition, it is completely rundown and needs a complete overhaul. Knowing Windflower, I’m sure they are going to upgrade soon, but we felt cheated that we had to pay $200 a night for a property that would not be even considered one star at this point.

Great location. But the rooms are not well maintained, house keeping head is good but the staff is careless and doesn’t bother to their job. Had to call multiple times to even get the basic things in room which should’ve been set while checkin. Restaurant is pricey and avg for lunch or dinner. Buffet breakfast is good. Resort is under maintenance and many amenities are either closed or not in usable condition. Not a value for money.

It's super expensive for nothing!! We paid 14k for a room for just one day because it had a private swimming pool which looked a little bigger than a bathroom tub. Well, when we are paying 14k, they should have at least cleaned the room before they checked us in! They said they have a lot of amenities, indoor games like pool, badminton, and archery. The badminton shuttle was very cheap, probably 10rs shuttle. The pool table had the main black ball missing 😂 And archery was blah. Talking about the room service, they don't even clean the rooms after informing them multiple times. And they have cheap quality television and remotes.. they won't even work most of the time. Overall, it was a pathetic service for 14k.

We paid Rs. 14,280 for a junior villa with a facility that was totally not worth it. Indoor game room is literally a shed with not great games. Private pool in the villa, wasn’t even cleaned when we checked it, wasn’t cleaned even after we requested them to, until finally they came in and cleaned it for us. Food was bad, the simplest things we ordered stank. For eg: Peanut masala was made with onions that had gone bad. TV in the rooms, dint have a functioning remote. When we finally got a remote we realized, the “smart” tv we were using wasn’t even smart to let us login to Amazon prime. Came in for a laid back weekend staycation at mysore which turned into a frustrated stay. Please reconsider if you are planning to book the place.

I'm not aware of the rooms, but the restaurant needs some significant improvement.. The taste of the food is OK, some of the menu needs improvement... But the biggest issue is with the kind of service they give. The staff seems to have an attitude of God. The moment u look at their response it feels like v r some sort aliens who shouldn't have visited this restaurant. Please learn to have pleasant attitude towards your customers, 1000s of restaurants out their and no ones gonna die without your restaurant, v hardly saw anyone who had smile on their face while talking orders, hospitality is abysmal. The worst part is the time they take to serve. It took almost 2 hours to finish our lunch, they take huge amount of time to fulfill reach order... For getting the bill I had to wait for 20 mins... Seriously!!! Please learn to respect your customers money and time... This was my first visit and thank God this will be my last... Never ever I would visit this restaurant... I can't even imagine their facial expressions while serving... Have some pleasantness on your face,

The ambience of the resort was excellent. very peaceful and calm. We had a very pleasant stay. Front office staff Vivek and Sushma were very helpful. We were explained of all the amenities. Restaurant was awesome. Staff were courteous, morning breakfast spread was excellent. They even offered kid friendly food during our stay. House keeping were also prompt and kept the rooms very neat.

I got this room through Agoda. The actual rate was 30k for 3 nights which I got for 15k for 3 nights. For a resort that charges so much, rooms were pretty substandard. It was worth only 3k per night. Bathroom doors were broken, AC wasn't working properly, dish connection given to TV hardly had any paid channels and bathroom showers and hand showers were simultaneously spraying water. Food was average on most days and exorbitantly charged. Complimentary breakfast was very good. Staffs were very responsive and friendly and very open to feedback. Just that this is a resort, it was average and should really step up the quality.

Great location and calm and beautiful environment, but rooms need more maintenance. Bathrooms were not clean, the balcony was also not maintained and had holes in the wood. Although the rooms were facing each other, surprisingly there was some privacy. The restaurant was great, the food was good and the place was very good to enjoy a long dinner.

Very poor service at the front desk and as well in restaurant by the staff. Food is not that good. Exceptionally well designed suites, but no lights in functional areas like the kettle. All the interior work it’s time for a renovation. Unqualified personnel at the spa centre, not worth for the money and time.

Poor maintenance & customer service. The property, furniture, Bedspreads etc were in poor condition and needs to be upgraded. The wooden steps around the beds and cots of the premium studio rooms are very uncomfortable and slippery. Suggesting those beds to be removed and replace them with simple king size cots. The water closet taps were always leaky and kept the entire washroom wet all the time. Overall experience was not great. Kindly upgrade everything.

  • 2/5 Vinay S. 1 year ago on Google
The rooms and the quality has run down. There is no maintenance. While I agree the wooden material goes through wear and tear, even the metal has been kept so bad. The shower cubicle doors are wobbly, the shower panels and pipes have salt deposits, shower tap caps are gone, body wash dispenser doesn't work, flush buttons won't work...more and more. The staff hadn't cleared the left out cloth of the previous guest while we checked in!! So overall, in our 4th visit to this property, a very bad experience.

We friends ( around 12 of us) had breakfast at this place. I would say it's a bit of hyped up, the taste of food was normal ( nothing much to differentiate). The staff was positive in their attiude and ensured we get all that we required.

Windflower is one of the best resorts which I have visited in recent times.. We went to this restaurant for an official business meeting, but the ambience is so beautiful, i strongly recommend couples for the visit. 1. The conference room facilities were really great, and there were small glitches in the projector connector, but we were able to get the immediate response 2. The staff were really amazing and whenever any help is required, we were getting an immediate response. 3. And the room facilities were really amazing, i strongly recommend that couples visit this place for the room facilities and the ambience, I really loved it 4. The only drawback is that, I see here, very few provisions for indoor/outdoor activities, if you are coming for a romantic date that won't bother you much 5. Finally I read a lot of Ayurvedic spa facilities, but couldn't try it, hopefully these services are also good. 6. If you love to do morning walks, this place is really awesome, u can hear a lot of peacock sounds.

We had a good stay at Windflower last week. While the resort is nice and rooms are spacious, we only wish the service could have been better. It was a busy time and resort was full, but they should have planned manpower better We had great service at breakfast and dinner. However lunch and room service was where we had bad experience

We made a corporate bookings from 17th November till 19th November (2 night stay) for 12 members, it is a nice location with good ambience and the room was very clean and spacious and interiors looked old but that's not a major concern, The service from the front desk and Banquet was awesome, Special mention on wonderful service from Mujahid and Nandeesh... Nice place to visit

Average resort, average food. Considering the amount they charge its below average. Fan regulator was missing, two beds were clubbed to make one, hair dryer wasn't working. After some time the mattresses (two beds were given two separate mattresses for a family of three😀) started shifting to its other side making a gap in between the bed. Room was not that clean.

Stay is amazing. Food is yum! But they have a serious issue with flies all over the restaurant. Impossible to have lunch or breakfast. Cant believe a resort of such a high calibre cannot solve such a simple issue. Overall: i would love to visit the place again for everything else!!

One of the nice options for weekend gateway in Mysore .. If you want stay in calm and pleasant place with all the services, this resort needs to be considered. Very nice cottages with a beautiful balcony where ducks are roaming around. Restaurant and Spa were additional positive things to this resort. Definitely everyone will enjoy the stay with their care and service.... About the restaurant,... Le olive restaurant located inside the windflower resort and spa..... It's an excellent hotel located at the outskirts of Mysore close to the famous Chamundi hill. It provides a calm, serene atmosphere with plenty of greenery around it. The food is delicious and has variety. It's well-maintained and the staff are well-mannered. Although not far from the heart of the city, it's isolated to some extent. It's ok if we go by car/ bus, but may be risky to travel by two wheelers during night..... The ambience here is great and so is the service.......

It was lockdown, and the fear of the third wave starting got us to book a resort for a couple of days for our staycation. Windflower was something we always had planned for but somehow was always booked. Another criteria was with all swimming pools closed, we were looking for a personal pool, but places like Evolve were super expensive. Finally came across windflower suite with small pools. With weekends booked, decided to go on weekdays. Booked a junior suite with a small pool and on reaching we found the basin in the bathroom leaking (minor issue) but the pool stinking. When we spoke to the reception, they immediately told us to go for lunch while they fix the issue. Post the lunch they told us they have upgraded to the Villa. The room was huge with a bar area, seating lounge, huge bedroom, bigger pool and a massage chair. Loved it. The restaurant Le Olive Garden was spacious, open and well kept. They had an extensive menu, and we ordered Chinese the first day. Prices on the higher side but compensated by huge portions and great taste. Over the next 2 days, we lazed around, stayed immersed in the pool, ordered housekeeping, got massages and just walked around the resort. We even stepped out to go to the zoo. All in all, we had a great time, well maintained resort, great food, close to palace and zoo, great service. I gave the the extra star for the service provided by the resort staff. They were very courteous, accomodating and friendly. Definitely worth going and would go back for a visit again.

We went to The Windflower for a weekend getaway. It was a beautiful experience with all the flora and fauna within the resort. It surely did rain everyday, but we wanted to stay in... so it worked out pretty well. Don’t forget to check out the spa and the restaurant, if planning to just relax in the resort (which ideally should be the way to go, with the pandemic situation). The room services is great and the staff is polite. Surely will be visiting again soon.

Starting from Front office : no one was wearing mask properly . Masks were below the face - new normal ! FnB Service was very slow . Housekeeping :We were on triple occupancy but amenities were placed for double occupancy . Amenities like toilet roll , face towel had to be asked repeatedly . Iron was part of amenities but was not given . Bathroom slippers was also not placed . When asked for green tea sachets they mentioned it’s not part of amenities . However on calling reception it was sent across . Here for everything you need to ask and it’s not placed by default ! Food production : only department which was good in terms of standards ! All food were really good in taste . Spa : two of us took spa therapy . Therapist Rekha was too good and did her job in an amazing way.she guided on all do’S and don’t post a therapy which really helped . However another therapist Reshma didnot share the basics with my aunt and she faced health issues later on ! So it seems basic training was lacking ! Overall rating 3 for Rekha , the good food and the ambience ! Last but not the least property is lovely but it’s upkeep is not done at all properly ! Service lags ! Pl plan accordingly !

One of the worst resorts in Mysore, literally. We booked the rooms after reading the reviews online. For the price we paid (6500) per room it was not at all worth it. The rooms are old, they stink, rooms are unhygienic. Even the shower kits were of cheap quality , towels were stinking. Please do not go by the reviews you read online. Check the photos and take decision. Morning breakfast was worst, nothing was good. Due to rains the whole place was filled with houseflies. We couldn’t eat breakfast peacefully because of flies. Had the worst experience of my life.

Windflower resort is an amazing place for a weekend or more as a getaway, the property is nice and filled with natural beauty. The staff is very nice and helpful. The place is tucked away, slightly off city limits and that's why its peaceful, it has one 2 restaurants but both share the same kitchen, the food is good as well. The room was big and cozy with an outdoor shower and a backyard with a nice water body view, loved the stay here.

A beautiful setup of retreats like rooms around a pond with lush landscape is a treasure to stay and unwind oneself. I loved the vibes of the cottage like rooms with grand interiors that’s like royal which tells you are in Mysore . A must stay resort with great food and amidst nature just makes one feel at peace. A very tasteful space created with natural elements everywhere was my favorite of all times. Most importantly got a great deal on a weekday without feeling the crunch in my wallet is a great way to stay at the resort .

Beautiful property with spacious cottages. Olive Garden restaurant has variety of food options and quality is good. Sometimes room service is little slow in responding to your requests. We had an amazing experience in Emerge Spa where the therapist explained the procedure clearly and service was good. Overall experience of our stay was good.

Pros Great landscape with birds, ducks and in-property pond. Good rooms Value for money Helpful staff Big swimming pool Great location - very close to popular places in Mysore Good breakfast spread Cons - Less expensive rooms are very far from main gate. With kids along, takes lot of time to reach rooms from parking place Even though the budget rooms had a gate/parking nearby, it was not opened - No/limited room service - Given that the location of rooms are far from restaurant, room service is not encouraged. They did provide milk to kids on special request but the delivery itself took more than 1hr - Very slow service at the restaurant

The overall experience was fantastic. Lovely rooms, amazing location, very friendly staff, great resturant, wonderful pool and play area for kids. If there was one that could have better then it is the utility in the room. The charging points are not next to the bed, a few hangers in the cupboard would be have been handy and last but not the least a facility to hang out wet swim suits would have been very useful. Hence, i rate the overall experience as 4.5 instead of a 5

Windflower resorts was a very good resort. Let me start with the good things, the location is wonderful and the ambience outside the resort is good with all the pond and all the animals is nice. But the nice part ends there, the rooms are not maintained at all. The rooms stink of smoke, the bed sheets torn, the beds are not maintained, the intercoms don’t work, bathroom doors don’t close, shower panel opens only 1/4 of the way, towels were dirty, the extra bed is even worse, the chairs in the sit out were not the lounge chairs. Breakfast needs a lot of work though options are many, taste is something they need to work on.

Loved the resort! Spent a quality time and an addition to lovely memories ! Only one recommendation to resort , please have nice air conditioner in room. My room AC made a lot of unusual noise. Which was negative factor! Else resort is very neat, tidy, spacious having all aminities to make it perfect to spend holidays!worth it!

First of all, excellent location and property. You can see that is a very beautifully designed place with neat landscaping, an excellent resturant and lots of parking space. The rooms are large and tastefully done. But, you can also see that the rooms are showing age and especially the bathroom fixings needs a change. On the plus side, there is a board saying that the property is due for a renovation so hopefully these small niggles will be taken care.

The resort was awesome!! The rooms were also great but I only Gave 4 star because there was not enough lighting in the room and their card safety lock in the room was like we had to swipe them 8-9 times then it would open. The pool was also great but it lagged some things such as underwater lights. Repairs should be made on the pool tiles. The staff was also good. Overall It is a great Resort best to visit with family
