Must visit when in mysore. Better to go around 7:30-8pm to this point to see the mysore palace light which is beautiful. Better Go with your vehicle because you won’t get much options for public transport/ else they will charge you much more.

It was a very nice view. If you are on a road trip around then on the way you can visit this place. You can have a full view of the Mysore city along with the Mysore palace. There is a binocular, by paying 20 rs per person you can have a good view of the city. But I must tell if you are planning a trip only for his place, then it’s does not worth. Better to plan it with other places. Good time to visit this place is either early morning and best is to visit after sunset when the city lights up.

You can have a very nice view of the Mysore city from this place which is on the way to Chamundi hills. Good place to visit either early in the morning or in the evening. There is a watch tower with telescope where you can rent the telescope for ₹20 for ~2 min.

It's strictly ok. You get some nice sunset sky views from this point. There is only one spot from where the view is visible so if there is a lot of crowd then it will be difficult for you to enjoy the view for very long. Even the night time view with the city lights is very ok. Worth it for a one time visit.

Good viewpoint on way to chamundi temple. However preferred to stop while returning from the temple. Binoculars are available at nominal rate for 2 min viewing purpose per person. Very clear view of Mysore palace and other important palaces can be seen. Good bird view watch of the Mysore city can be seen.

It's only for binocular viewers, half of the city can be viewed through here, breathtaking view, especially on morning time as fog and sunrays were mixed and City is slowly waking up. Parking is free here and only a few can park as it's in the downhill road. Unlike other hills areas no monkeys were seen here, but crows are seen everywhere. Busses also stopping here to pick or drop passengers which is good.

Chamundi Hill is a prominent landmark and tourist attraction in Mysore, Karnataka, India. This hill is famous for the Chamundeshwari temple, dedicated to Goddess Chamundeshwari, an incarnation of the Hindu goddess Durga. Chamundeshwari Temple is a major pilgrimage site and a place of religious importance that attracts devotees and visitors from all over the world. Construction work is happening... Mysore City can be seen from top..... Nothing great apart from that...But you can just go there for the drive up the hill..nicely done roads..a beautiful small temple nearby..if you are looking for great architecture....not really an architectural wonder though..🙏

Beautiful place. The place seems to be crowded. The best timing is in the evening, where you can watch the sunset with a great top view. Car parking space is available (with parking fee). There are mini fancy shops near the temple where you'll get bangles, dolls, stationery items etc.

An exhilarating and enjoyable experience. The meandering serpentine roads are well maintained and provide a thoroughly enjoyable ride to the top and back. Parking arrangements at the to top are excellent and commendable.

Located in Mysore. It gives the aerial view of full Mysore. Blessed by the grace of Shree Chamundeshwari Devi. Easily accessible to visit. The blowing wind makes one's mood pleasant. Good area to click photos

A must-stop destination for visiting Chamunda hills. The viewpoint offers simply stunning view of the Mysore city with the cityscape stretching out as far as the eye can see. The best time to visit the viewpoint is during sunset, when the sun sets over the city and the sky is painted with hues of red and orange. You can enjoy the close telescopic view of the Lalitha palace, Mysore palace and other architectural marvels of the city at a tkt of 20 rupees only.

Bird’s eye view of Mysore city, here one can see the palace and other parts of city from the top of chamundi hills, best place for photo shoot. Chamundeswari temple is situated on the top of Chamundi hill which is about 3,489 ft. above sea level and located at a distance of 13 Kms. from Mysore. The temple is dedicated to Sri Chamundeswari, the titular deity of the Mysore Royal Family also described as ‘Mahishasura Mardini’for having killed the buffalo headed demon Mahishasura.

The view is epic, best place to chill and enjoy the aerial view of Mysore, better to visit during sunset and afterwards to enjoy the city lights

  • 3/5 Amit K. 5 months ago on Google
Aerial viewpoint from the road leading up to Chamundi Hill. Scenic view of Mysuru city. The viewing area is small and maybe can hold about 10 persons. There's an adjacent monocular pay to view area that is on a platform but not really worth it. Quick stop on the way to get a glance of the city.

One of the best sunset view point. You get see complete city from here. Including palace, race course and many. Must visit place. One problem is no much parking space, since it is ghat road ad its very difficult to find parking space during weekends

It's a very devotional and peaceful place. No words to say about chamundeswari Amma it's so adorable ,even security people didn't force us to move during darshan, after coming out from there out side lord Siva and Maha Vishnu idols are also there. City view from the top of the hill is extraordinarily beautiful,we don't have good camera so we couldn't capture best pics We stayed in chamundeswari guest house it's just behind Mahishasura statue.Early morning it's very cloudy couldn't see what is there in 50 mitres and very cold also . One major point is after 7.30 pm meals aren't available most of the shops are closed but there're few food shops.Only tiffins, snacks and tea, coffe etc are available

Overly commercial atop the hill. The time we were at the lookout point wasnt dark enough to see the lights kick on. The view was nice and gives a bird's eye view of Mysore. Quite clean actually and it was refreshing to see people take pride in their city and try to maintain the cleanliness.

Temple is good and nice, but certainly they could organize it better...certainly Covid rules weren't followed sincerely, all special tickets are mixed up at main entrance and it was too unorganized and unsafe. They need to do better for sure.

Beautiful view of Mysore city from here. It is closer by & on route to the Chamundi Devi temple. Take a stop and enjoy the fresh breeze with nice views from here. There is a binocular also placed here if one is interested.

It was a nice drive up to the mountains. If you are visiting after sunset you can get a spectacular view of the complete Mysore city with the well lit Mysore palace as the highlight. It was a summer time but still we could feel the cold and wind.Nice roads with road safety markings will give you a feeling of driving in a ghat road.We really loved the trip.We didn't visit the temple in that visit .

  • 5/5 Rushya R. 2 years ago on Google
Try to visit as early as possible to avoid crowd, and the place will be like heaven wih the fog during sunrise

  • 5/5 Chinmay S. 1 year ago on Google
It is a prasadam you get after you visit the Chamundeshwari goddess temple and on your way back, you stop by on this Mysore city view point and enjoy the view of a low flying aircraft 😃😉 - some locals and youngsters do drop by just for the view but as tourist you should plan to visit the temple first.....plan first half of the day if possible coz it piles up in second half and try to use taxi coz finding parking space can be a challenge Multi car parking is present but you know how revenge tourism has picked up after Corona 😃 but on other thought it is good if we get to see goddess after these small troubles - your shraddha quotient gets multiplied 😃 Coming back to the view point, there is a free spot which is more crowded and there is 20 rupees binocular spot where nobody makes faces if you stay for a minute more to enjoy the breathtaking view 😃 and can also bring the city landmarks near you with this binocular - the evening was clouded and drizzling so our selfies demanded more sunlight 😃 but enjoying the view from naked eye also gives great pleasure.....do not miss out on sweet corn, fruits and bhelpuri from roadside vendors and incase your mobile data does not support payment - they provide their mobile hotspot 😃 - India roadside business has come of age - Digital India - Har Har Modi 😅🔥🙏

Love this place..So serene and lovely.. Temple is so good.I went there in weekday at 8:50 pm that is why there was no queue because we were late and planned at very end moment else if you go there in afternoon or any time in day there will be queue. 7:30-9:00 pm is the last timing of the day to visit so better go early. Photography is not allowed in temple. The way of temple while going and returning view is good, you can see almost whole mysore from there.
