Artworks exhibited here are made using sea shells. One might feel the building of this museum is not so attractive from outside . Probably one of the more amazing art museums I've seen. Some art took 8 year to complete! The entrance fee is very less and we'll worth it. Bring your kids! Don't forget to buy a memory item also. Art is still being created so do take a look. There's plenty of parking space. And come early. Because this museum is highly popular! And if you can: plan a weekday! And maybe you'll be able to join on a photo with the owners and the artist!

Amazing art and unbelievable creation made by sea shells. The museum area is small but the art work done is excellent. They also have many accessories and other toys for sale as well. The idol of Lord Ganesha was one of the major attraction of this museum. She got her name in the Guinness book of world record for this idol. The replica of St. Philomena's cathedral and Taj mahal was spectacular. This museum is located on the way to Chamundi Hills. Do visit this place 👌

This place is a must visit. It is very easy to miss from the main road. The lady who created these magnificent replicas and other items truly deserves a place in the record books. I was specially impressed with the Lord Ganesha idol and the scale replica of St.Philomena's church. Entry fee is minimum. Kids will love this place. There are many beautiful things crafted from sea shells. It's a relatively small area so the tour doesn't take more than 20-30mins.

This is the place where Guinness record seashell models are kept. Great thing done, kudos to the concentration went into making all of the models done and kept in this place. Great to see church, Ganesh and tajmahal models. Prity big models and very beautifully crafted. Eye catching models, visit this and see the record model once to see great work.

good art work sea shells 🐚, it is amazing to know she took 5 to 8 years to complete each model. Rather than wasting money on surgery food items, it was worth visiting this place and encouraging artist to keep the hard work.

This place is situated on the way to Chamundi hills, at the foothills. It's just a little further away from the sand museum. This place has a 60 rupees entrance fee. The people who contributed to creating these beautiful sculptures out of the millions of sea shells they gathered have my utmost respect. The number of seashells gathered to realise this museum and the amount of work that has gone into it to produce such detailed artwork is commendable! You'll see various themes of sculptures inside made purely with various types of sea shells. There's a sculpture of St Philomena's cathedral (famous church in Mysuru), a couple of 10-12 foot Ganapathi, the gorgeous looking Taj Mahal of course and plenty of types of sea shells displayed. You need to visit this place!

There are many artistic things made out of shell, garlic skin, onion skin, groundnut skin etc. Hats off to the artist. Each and every collection is worth watching. Well maintained, has good parking. I am running out of adjectives to describe this place. People should come and admire the art work of Smt. Dr. Radha Mallappa. The idol of Lord Ganesha was one of the major attraction of this museum. She got her name in the Guinness book of world record for this idol. The replica of St. Philomena's cathedral and Taj mahal was amazing. It's a must watch place if you are coming to Mysore.

Not so great experience. Just a place where you can find someones hobby exhibited. Rs 50 for the entrance is way too high. Rs 10 would be more than enough. Not a great place to visit. Its just the art that can be appreciated, But not at such a high cost.

.. Artistically & as a unique THEME, this is a very good Museum. PROS: .. Worth visiting once, due to rare theme .. Rich for Camera, although there are some limitations, which will be explained in Cons. .. Some of the sculptors, especially the St. Philomina's church, Ganesha & Shiva Linga are really beautiful. .. Clean & neat premises & interior. Cons: .. Not worth for the cost; I would suggest a ticket fare as Rs.30 maximum; Rs.25 optimal. .. Even in wide, ie. at 24 mm focal length, which is the common lens, we cannot cover few items. .. Mini Aquarium is not up to mark .. Poor lighting at some places .. Poor current backup, when Electricity fails .. I have seen a staff member behaving arrogantly with a visitor - very bad training. .. Some works are good, but covered with other sculptures.

Small place that you could easily go past but once you enter it is a mini wonderland created by an artist all out of shells making various statues and historic buildings of India. Also can buy items such as earrings and bangles and various other items made from shell at a reasonable price made by the same artist. Definitely a great place to visit in mysore with family. Some of the models have been entered into the Guiness book of records as the model built by the most number of seashells. The museum is entirely managed by women. And the record- holder is a very humble woman who has spent so many years collecting sea-shells and building each and every model. Its worth the visit.

It's not so recommended to visit compulsory, just if you have some time to pass while going or coming back from chamundi hills do have a look into this museum. Entry fee is too much. They are taking Rs.60/- per head. Visiting this place with that entry fee is not at all worthable to watch. All the stuff inside the museum is made up of seashells. Only thing is we will go inside of the museum and comeback out , it will take not more than half an hour to look over all the things inside the museum

We could hv easily missed going to this place .we are glad that we visited .. creativity at its peak .each sculpture present there was mind blowing .each took around 7&1/2 years unbelievable...so many year of dedication .best out of waste was best. We got an opportunity to meet Radha Mallappa, who's the creator of this beautiful place, in person. She was so humble i must say .few handmade jewellery shop were also there with many collections at very reasonable price..good place to shop and also support women-lead business .

Really beautiful and offbeat place to visit. The creativity & efforts that has gone behind creating all these needs to be appreciated. Many wonderful creations using sea shells that is bound to leave you in awe. Everything was nice and we even met the creator herself. They also have many accessories and other toys for sale as well. You need to visit this once to enjoy the sculptures and it'll hardly take 45 mins - 1 hour.

Radha Mallappa's seashell museum boasts Guinness World Records for the largest ganpati idol and other seashell art. The Taj Mahal is the most famous attraction. Throughout my visit, I was struck by the beauty and diversity of the sea shells on display. It was a truly unique and memorable experience that left me with a greater appreciation for the natural world. Entry fee of Rs. 60/person was a bit expensive.
