Temple is situated on the banks of river Simsha, though there was no water in the river. Nice temple complex. There are two beautiful and huge banyan trees in front of Anjaneya temple. The temple complex also houses Venkateshwara temple. There is a nice Bhagavadgita Mandir which has Bhagavadgita inscriptions. Temple has 500-year history.

Hole Anjaneyaswamy Temple is situated on the bank of Shimshanadi river in Maddur, Mandya district. This is located little away from Bangalore Mysore highway. One of the important religious place. It is said that Sripadaraja and Sri Vyasaraja, consecrated the idol. It is said to have been built during the reign of the Vijayanagar kings between 1450 and 1498. The speciality of this place is that one with unfulfilled rightful wishes can seek the blessings of Anjaneya by dropping a coin of 25 paise (given at the temple). On fulfillment of the wish, one has to go back and pay obeisence to Anjaneya. You also have Venkateshwara swamy, Krishna idols and Bhagavadgita mandir in the temple premises.

Very nice temple. Fully devotional feelings for every visitor. Lord Venkateshwara temple is inside the campus. Famous kannada devotional songs writers ( dasarapadalu) their statues to see in side the compound. Navagraha temple available. Temple is maintained and worshiped by Sosale mutt. Entry is available to one and all with in Darshana hours. In the temple 2 Hood devotional and Religious books are stored nicely in glass rows. Mostly for reference and sales. Good 👍. River flows in front of the temple. Good stone steps, But river was in worst condition can't go down water.Toilets are not maintained properly. As per board displayed temple was built between 1450 to 1500 AD during Vijayanagar empires ruling. So it has 500 years history.

There is the lake right in front of the temple but not a single drop of water in it. The road leading to the temple is very narrow. The place lacks maintenance. Not many people are aware of this place. There is no sign board too in the Bangalore Mysore road about this temple. This temple is unique and rich in history. The natural scenery is a treat to the eye.

We had the Bhagya of witnessing the Abhisheka on 19 th June when we visited the temple. The performance of the Pooja was done with utmost sincerity and the proceedures without any deviation from the system. The depth of knowledge of the performance shows the involvement by heart and soul by the poojaris. The mantra brought the devaloka and it was felt like the great Hanuman was present omnipotent to watch the proceedings. It was nice location near the river bed. Evergreen. The Bhagavad Geetha is enshrined in the stones which is not available in any other place.

A very powerful temple in the town of Maddur. This temple is one of the Mukhya Pramana temples created by Vyasaraja Mahamuni. One can see Bhagawan Hanuman in North facing standing pose holding a Vrigodharam in one hand which is the weapon of Bheema and elongated 2 fingers symbolic to Vysarajaru

A very peaceful temple along the river banks of shimsha. The temple is unique because it's situated in between two Banyan trees and you won't find such quite often ...a time worthy place 👍

We had given for Panchamrutha Abhisheka. We had passed on the details the previous day (almost towards the end of the day) and had made an online payment for the same. We were supposed to be at the temple by 8:15 am, but due to traffic we reached late by 30min. On reaching the place the person incharge of handling the devotees informed us that he had ensured to do our 'sankalpa' with the details I had provided earlier. We were very happy for their gesture as we were feeling quite guilty that we couldn't make it on time. We viewed the Abhisheka very peacefully later. After the Pooja, they distribute prasada. Anyone willing to donate towards the same are welcomed by the temple..

Holy place, peacefull.. very powerful God. Temple holds good history. I visit regularly. Temple administration and staff are very well behaved, very polite, supportive to each and everyone. They treat everyone equally, the God's prasada is very tasty everytime. The temple Priest is very calm&cool. He speaks very clearly and never angry with anyone even on peak days, he responds very calmly. Temple is beautiful, the view around the temple is beautiful, the river upfront is nice to see.

Devotional place. One of my friend took me first time, then somehow got myself keeps going. It's still looks natural, you have paddy fields near by, canal beside.. as I stay in Bangalore, this is feel special place to visit always. The diety here has special Mannatech type, you need to take 25 paisa which is kept there, add you rupee and ask for wish and put it in offering, ppl say their wishes comes true. I haven't tried it though.

Temple of historic and puranic importance. Had a divine experience here. It was less crowded on a weekday. The purohits were very friendly and explained the deity and the temple history in detail. The temple is also known for 'harake' for the diety. The Shimsha river flowing nearby adds to the tranquility of the temple. Daily prasada is distributed to the devotees. A must visit if you are in Maddur.

The place has an aura around it for believers and is in a beautiful setting. If only the hycinth is cleared in the Shimsha river it will be awesome. There is provision for Thirtha-Prasada(lunch) if you request in advance.
