Pros:
1.
Heritage
building
with
character.
2.
The
ambience
and
the
outdoor
seating
is
great,
especially
in
the
evening.
3.
The
cafe
is
tranquil
and
offers
a
good
place
to
read
a
book
or
have
a
quiet
chat.
4.
Rooms
are
clean.
5.
The
mattress
is
firm
and
supportive,
none
of
that
caved-in,
concave
nonsense
often
found
in
hotels.
Cons:
1.
Most
of
the
staff
are
atrociously
bad.
They
have
very
little
or
no
training
in
hospitality
and
certainly
do
not
know
how
to
interact
with
guests
in
a
manner
fitting
for
a
hotel
claiming
to
be
a
2-star
property.
2.
Had
a
late
check-in
at
11:30PM
and
the
reception
was
closed,
and
there
was
nobody
assigned
to
handle
the
check-in.
I've
seen
better
systems
in
place
even
at
cheap
lodges,
so
this
is
disappointing
for
a
hotel
of
this
size.
3.
Security
guard
claimed
that
it
is
illegal
for
residents
of
the
city
to
stay
at
hotels
in
the
city!
Also,
I
had
to
wait
at
the
gate
until
they
raised
the
manager
on
the
phone
to
finally
assign
me
the
room
I
had
booked.
4.
Rooms
have
huge
ventilator
windows
that
are
open
to
the
outside,
and
so
are
extremely
noisy,
with
traffic
noise
of
trucks
and
buses
from
the
main
road
disrupting
your
sleep
throughout
the
night.
5.
The
room
decor
leaves
much
to
be
desired,
with
mosaic
flooring
that
looks
cheap
and
a
salt-stained
steel
bucket
and
mug
in
the
bathroom
reminiscent
of
Indian
Railways'
train
lavatories.
6.
No
room
service,
couldn't
even
get
a
bottle
of
drinking
water
in
the
room,
and
nor
was
one
already
provided
in
the
room.
7.
Food
is
edible
but
otherwise
lacklustre.
Summary:
A
beautiful
property
with
great
potential,
but
very
poorly
managed.
