The only good thing about this zostel is its location. The bunk beds are shaky and have very sharp edges. I got bruises as I climbed up and down each time. Also the ladders move. The smoking area is very close to rooms and it's very annoying to non smokers. The space in rooms very small. Not enough to even accomodate your travel bags. I experienced power cuts also during my stay. You get to meet good variety of people and hence the one star. I wouldn't recommend staying here at all.

"I recently stayed at Mysore Zostel and had a wonderful experience. The peaceful ambiance provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The staff was friendly and accommodating, ensuring my stay was comfortable. The facilities were clean and well-maintained. If you're looking for a serene and tranquil place to stay, I highly recommend Mysore Zostel. It's an ideal choice for anyone seeking peace and relaxation during their travels."

Please avoid this Zostel. I had a 1 night stay booked at this place but after actually visiting I found that the dorms were tiny, no cleanliness, people were smoking and drinking in the open garden, bathrooms were stinky and very unclean. The caretaker was smart enough to hurry up on our check-in process. Even though I was asking to show the rooms before, she involved us in the check in talks and took the complete payment (I had already paid advance over the Zostel app). The bunk beds in the dorms were creaky. The walls were moldy. Overall a very bad feeling. I checked out within an hour and went to another accommodation.

The host(Nagu) is super helpful and always available. Some dorms need better ventilation, but overall, it's a great place. Go for it!

The location is good you will find the restaurants and cafes nearby, super friendly care takers, The rooms and toilets were clean but there is room to improve the cleans of the garden, there are multiple things to do in the common area . Don't have inhouse parking but there is ample parking space available on the road.

    1. There's only 2 washrooms for people in dorms. People staying in 1st floor either have to go to terrace or ground floor washroom. 2. I requested to use washroom in female dorm but the receptionist rejected it saying the guests there will not be okay with it. Valid enough, but the security in common washroom was next to nothing. 3. There are pets in the property. 2 cats and 1 dog. It is clearly stated there that petting the dog is not allowed as he bites. But at the same time the dog was kept loose the entire time. It was stressing for us. 4. Cats enter the room randomly and sit on the bed. 1 of the cat even scratched my friend while he was sleeping. When we asked the receptionist named Naggu about it, she said it is nothing to be worried about. As a guest, that's not acceptable. 5. Beds were squeaky. Not sturdy enough. For 1k, guests expect good quality beds

Peaceful and hygienic place to stay with very awesome and positive ambience. They have variety of indoor games which include PS5. They have proper terrace and small garden with chairs and lighting to enjoy and relax with friends.

I stayed in a private room. The room was clean and cozy but the lighting could have been better. Other than that the location was great, the caretaker was really nice. The pets were cute and the facilities were nice too.

Zostel Mysore has been an incredible experience for me! From the warm and welcoming staff to the delightful atmosphere, my stay has been nothing short of fantastic. The owner, Priya, and her brother running this hostel. They go above and beyond to make guests feel at home. My stay was during New Year's, and the party they organized was simply amazing. It was evident that they put a lot of effort into ensuring everyone had a great time. The attention to detail and the positive energy made it a memorable celebration. I appreciate the excellent service, the cleanliness, and the overall ambiance of Zostel Mysore. It's not just a place to stay; it's an experience that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Mysore. Thank you, Zostel Mysore, for making my stay so enjoyable!

I didn't have a good experience at Zostel Mysore. I was travelling solo. Firstly the people you see here very occupied and busy in their work. I tried greeting many people but they didn't even respond with a smile. Location is good, ambience is nice. But it is very dirty and messy. Feels like Local Hostel than Zostel. Very disappointed with the stay.

This is my second hostel stay ever. First one was at gostops in Bengaluru in the same trip. So i am most likely to compare this stay with my first one. 1) Bathrooms- 4/10 not at all clean, nothing to hang clothes on. Always wet and dirty. I used to wash and wipe the bathroom and then use it. 2) rooms- 7/10, it's okayish, it was messy just because of the fellow travelers. No curtains around beds for privacy. 3) Locker- i was asked to keep my luggage at the common area since they didn't have a lock. I had to keep my luggage open in the dorm. 4) Bed- I don't if it was good or bad, personally i am not habituated to sleeping on spring mattress. So i was just rolling around on the bed whole night. Metal Stairs to the top bed was really uncomfortable, it got me pain in my foot. Blanket probably had bed bugs (not sure) it was itchy. So i had to use my personal blanket. 5) common area/lobby- Full of mosquitoes, dog furr and some pungent smell. These negatives are resolvable, if the management wants to. I am not criticising the hostel just pointing out the negatives, which i want them to resolve so that I can join them again. Apart from these negatives I wish I could stay more to meet people and make new friends. However even with few hours in hand I did manage to know a couple of hostelers. Looking forward to staying there again after these issues are resolved.

Not for couples. Private room is dismal I and my husband wanted to explore hostel stays on our recent trip. After wonderful experiences at goStops Coorg and Hosteller Coorg, Zostel Mysore was our next stop. We were most excited for Zostel since we had heard a lot about the chain. But we were very disappointed. Very old room, no upkeep, the room was tiny and wash basin was outside the bathroom in that tiny room (what!?) They had kept an artificial plant right in front of the washbasin to hide it's piping. No duvet cover. We stayed in private room for 1 night. The common kitchen smelled of old rotting wet waste. The guy at the reception was clever enough to not even ask how our stay was. The common room atmosphere also was okayish. Overall, not recommended for private room.

It is very nice place to stay. Here staff is very friendly. All things are good, You can cook yourself in kitchen. All rooms are Clean and well maintain. Here small garden, game room present. You can read books here like small library. It is overall very good experience. One of the significant advantages of staying at Zostel is its affordability. The hostels provide budget-friendly accommodation options, making it an excellent choice for travelers on a tight budget. The dormitory-style rooms are the most economical choice, offering beds in shared rooms with shared bathrooms. However, it also offer private rooms for those seeking a bit more privacy. It offers a vibrant and social atmosphere that is particularly appealing to young travelers and backpackers.

Zostel Mysore is a very good property located within the heart of Mysore, all the tourist attractions are nearby. The property is small when compared with other Zostels, all details about the rooms, common areas and other facilities can be seen in detail on their website. The manager of the property is very friendly and helpful, he suggested some good restaurants, pubs and travel destinations nearby. The property is clean and well-maintained. There is decent parking space available for cars and bikes outside on the street. Overall this is a good place to stay on a budget if you are planning to visit Mysore.

Only once did I have any struggle accounting for all the four times I have stayed here. I used to stay here to attend interviews but started to prefer Zostel for all my trips. Regarding the struggle I mentioned earlier, I wasn't able to sleep properly due to smoking by some guests on the rooftop where my dorm was located. Well the etiquette shall be enforced better.

Beautiful hostel experience. Very homely feeling. Couple of coconut trees go through the house which is awesome! There's a pet dog as well, very friendly and doesn't disturb you (I am not a dog person). They have their own vehicle which you can avail for rent at β‚Ή350 per day. Property and room are cleaned and maintained well. Suited for: folks who are sociable, would like to mingle around with other people. Don't get me wrong - you still have your bed which is your own space. Tons of lounge area in terrace as well as entrance area. Very near to city. Bus stand is also walkable distance. Not suitable for: if you want your own personal space and do not like to share bathroom, then this is not for you.

Not zostel standards at all. Mysore has much better options. Not enough toilets. Kitchen is in bad shape with no basic things like plates spoons and glasses. This is a 6yr old zostel so the mattresses are completely worn out with the spring poking your back, my biggest nightmare. The staff are not hosts, they are not trained enough. Hope you change for the better.

My experience with Zostel Mysore was more or less decent. They are plenty of places to eat around within 1km radius. If you are looking for a budget stay then this is a great option in a good locality especially if you are not going to spend lot of time in the room and are looking for a place to just crash, bathe and get changed. Nagu is also a very friendly host. They provide an early check in at a fee of Rs 150/- and charge an additional of Rs 30/- if you wish to use the locker facility. The room and attached bathroom I stayed in are quite small. I stayed in a female dorm on the ground floor with 6 beds. They keep lot of pets, 2 cats and 1 dog to be precise. I personally felt the dog was harmless but the cat comes into the room and sleeps on the bed. Since I was not comfortable with it I told Nagu and she made sure that the cat did not enter the room again. That said I strongly suggest they maintain a smoking and no smoking zone separately. Even in the limited time that I stayed in the premise I found it very hard to even breathe since people were smoking everywhere, the terrace and the common sitting area that is on the ground floor. The common space on the ground should be made into no smoking zone since there are many rooms adjacent to it. Me and a few roomates had to step outside Zostel quite a few times to be even able to breathe. It was very suffocating. My second day at the zostel was on the day of protest. With all food joints in the city closed completely I could not eat anything. If they can provide an option of breakfast or lunch then it would be good.

There were very good dormitories where we could all stay as a group, and a lagauage storage room as well as a kitchen for all staying also a playing area with foosball. However, rooms are too expensive for a day for two where we can get private rooms at some other decent hotels. Comparatively, two sharing rooms are more expensive here. Because of the price, I suggest you think twice before considering this place to stay.

Firstly rooms were good and maintained neatly. Coming to bathroom, provided soaps shampoo moisturiser etc everything and even the locality is located in the place where you can get every facility within few minutes and lastly the owner she was so good and helped us in local transport by providing necessary details and all.

It was a great stay at ZOSTEL MYSURU!! Rooms are great, Living area is good, terrace was nice. Staff is very friendly specially Mr. Amit β™₯️. Location is perfect, U get a lot of restaurants and eateries nearby. Also it’s pretty close to Sub urban bus stand and railway station. Bathrooms were clean but has to be more hygiene, that will be my only suggestion.

Amazing experience. Made some new friends here. Location is so convenient. You can find lots of eating places nearby. The manager - Amit was friendly and helpful. They people make you feel at home. As compared to other city's Zostel Property the ambience was not that much great.

We stayed at zostel and had a wonderful experience. The host was very friendly, rooms are very neat and clean. Zostel is located at very good location, where u can find so many restaurants beside zostel and even corner house as well. The property is very cozy and u can meet so many travelers and can share experiences.

Will talk about cons first: I booked 4 sharing room which was on ground floor. The room was good, but the bathroom was literally a public toilet. Ideally it was for only 4 people who were sharing the room but all staff were using the toilet. Everytime I entered the bathroom it was smelling bad 😞. I asked the care taker but she denied whereas i personally saw several times that boys from staff members were using the washroom. We rely on zostel and this was not expected from the service. Secondly, it was not that hot when we reached, there was a single wall fan installed in the room that was fine for the temperature there, but at night it was hot when door was closed and 4 people were sleeping inside. They didn't provide the AC remote and we searched inside and it was not kept there. It was night and all staff were asleep so we couldn't do anything. For PROs there are several comments you can check: good rooms, common areas, clean beds etc.

The ladies dormitory is literally a mould infested , damp and stinky room. 6 beds have been crammed into a very small room with absolutely no ventilation . The toilet had every fixture with water leaks and literally hasn't been cleaned since months. Very bad experience.

Location is a huge advantage. It is centrally located yet very peaceful. The host is very helpful. I felt the dorms are not adequately spacious. Overall a good experience.

Zostels are always good, but this one was the average one for me. The rooms & washrooms were clean. But it's unfortunate that I got a bunk bed at the top just next to a fan on one side and AC on the other. Thankfully due to weather we only used the fans. There was a window next to my bed without a curtain. But that made me very uncomfortable as I was visible from outside. There could also be some more seating on the terrace. There was a group of boys who adjusted on a table because my group took the sofa. The location is very approachable from Mysore station. You have many eateries around this place so you can have fun with some variety of foods. For more such amazing places, check @say_day_out

Dorms are good... With wifi facility. Since it's within city , it's basically a 3 floor house turned into a hostel. Parking of bikes or cars should be done outside the facility . Private rooms has bath tub with TV. Refrigerator and cooking facilities are there to cook your own food. Overall 4 out of 5.

I've arranged stay in Zostel for my friends and I've visited the place as well. There is a kitchen, a washing machine if you want laundry service, and Wi-Fi of course. Host Nischinth is an amazing person. Nagu is there to help you with anything in house. It is such a cool place. And aptly located because it is closer to the city centre, and there are a lot of eating joints, cafΓ©s closeby. Tue neighborhood is peaceful.

Zostal is so far the finest backpacker stay for travelers. I found location very convenient and close to railway station. Also there are lots of eating place nearby to it. The manager was very friendly and helpful. Very neat and clean place. I highly recommend for young people to explore this option for stay.

Very clean room and welcoming vibe. The pet dog bit my partner and he had to take rabies vaccines, but the caretaker was super nice about the whole incident. I guess the Zostel could offer amenities like some others do- such as towels in the room. Overall it has great WiFi, charming interiors and vibe, and a great Gokulam location.

It’s a decent run for the money. People staying are here from 6-7 months. So might wanna check before dropping in directly without a booking. And mostly no food. In the nights either cook by urself or order.

Good and very calm place to stay and make new networks. Feels safe, also recreation activities are good. It feels very homely and we can get acess all kinds of need and commodities including snacks and carvings. Atmosphere and environment is good. Has a friendly dog which never feels like stopping it from cuddling. Also has a cat. Has a board at the front of door which serves as a list of places to explore. Worth the penny.

Zostel Mysore is a very nice stay and I have been here twice and both the times have stayed for about a week. The hostel managers Nagu and Amit were very professional and welcoming as always and both of them have always made sure that everyone staying at their place were comfortable! And Nagu prepares very good home style food, I would recommend everyone to try the food prepared by Nagu, especially the Chicken Biryani (or Chicken Pulav) with her new recipe. And finally, thanks a lot to Nagu and Amit for the great hospitality. Big Thumbs Up!!!πŸ‘πŸΌ

The people working there are friendly and fun! You gotta make friends with the others staying at Zostel to have a full filling experience! The location is good. Close to the railway station. And the stay is covered with the canopy of trees which I loved. Peaceful and fun overall!!

A bit pricey than other dorms, but every penny spent here is worth. Cozy blankets, too comfortable mattresses and nice ambience make this place highly sought. Little far from the major tourist destinations of Mysore though - you can find food stops around it.

Best place for backpackers and solo travelers. You can always make news friends here. The care takers are Great and the best people out there. Always helpful and loving. They have a dog which is a attention seeker and really well behaved. The location is good and so does the facilities and services are best. Indeed the best place out here in Mysore to stay if you are solo traveler.

The Zostel is located in heart of the city. Which means it comes with its pros like accessibility and cons like traffic noise. Other than this the service was alryt. I wasn't offered the WiFi password at check-in. The sheets and blanket seemed clean. The toilet however was pathetic. Flush wasn't working and door was falling apart. I didn't get time to explore the whole property.

Great place to stay. The host is super chill. There are restaurants and tea shops right in front of the property. Close to all the attractions in the town. Dorms are clean and good. Can meet lots of interesting souls. There is also a common kitchen with all utensils.

The location the Zostel is located is perfect. 5mins away from the railway station and with some of the amazing south Indian food joints at walking distance. You could get auto rickshaws easily too. The rooms and bathrooms were sweeped and wiped everyday, so they were clean. The staff was super friendly and made us feel at home.

It was very warm and welcoming. The hosts were great, friendly and helpful. The dorm was clean, well ventilated and had AC. (We had to use AC because fan didn't swing). Location is fantastic with all happening places within walking distance. Common areas are little messy. Otherwise pretty great. Loved it. There are cute fur babies (cats and dogs) wandering around the property. CUTEMAX

This is my first Zostel Experience and DAMN!!! How can something be so good and so much memorable. I met really awesome people and instantly we all became such good friends. Then there was simba, she is such a good girl. I wish i could pet her again and again and again. Amit, the incharge of Zostel Mysore, super friendly guy. Now, how much i write I won’t be able to explain the experience i have here. It will always be in my memory as a good memory and definitely i will visit again.

The most important point about Zostel Mysore is location. The surrounding is full of lush giant trees. You can get everything in near by area. The room was not upto the mark and didn't have any positive vibes. Bathroom was just like a lodge bathroom.

I liked the vibe of the hostel a lot, it had a nice garden and really cute rooftop terrace. I met a lot of really lovely people at the hostel, so I tree definitely great for meeting others! The receptionist was really friendly too and even though the dog barks at first, it’s actually super friendly and peaceful:) The rooms were also clean and the bed was comfortable. One day we even had lunch all together in the garden. I’d come back there if I go back to mysore:)

The first thing about Zostel Mysore, that I loved, is that it was set up in a great location. The people were extremely friendly and fortunately I got to share my room with a bunch of even more friendly, fellow travelers. It was my first time traveling alone and I entered Zostel with much anticipation and anxiety. Within 20 minutes, I was already starting to feel much more comfortable! Thanks for the experience, definitely look forward to be hosted by you soon! Cheers!
