This museum consists of wax statues of various famous people (mainly of India) This museum in one the way to Chamundi Hill . Only countable number of wax statues are good. Entry fee is bit high when compared with the quality of wax statues that are exhibited here.

The wax statue is looks like real. Hug collection and parking space. After Chamundeshwari temple you must visit this place. Also don’t miss to explore horror house, it’s really scary.

Planning a trip to Chamundeshwari temple, pls add wax museum to your list. Many statutes will be real like however, few are not that intricate. The Wax Museum near Chamundeshwari Temple is a unique and intriguing attraction that offers visitors a captivating experience. The museum features lifelike wax statues of people from diverse backgrounds, meticulously crafted to resemble their real-life counterparts. This attention to detail adds a sense of realism to the exhibit, making it a fascinating place to explore. One thing to note is the stairs that you should be careful as sometimes it makes different sounds. One notable aspect of the museum is its combination with a haunted house, which adds an unexpected twist to the visit. While the haunted house may not be genuinely terrifying, it does provide some lighthearted entertainment and amusement, especially for those with a good sense of humor. For families with children, there are a very few sports activities as well which they will enjoy. There's one more wax museum that you can take a visit to.

You can find a number of celebrity wax statues from all sorts of backgrounds. Statues are real-like very impressive tho! Ticket fare is also budget friendly as we got a combo offer for the museum & the haunted house. The place is nice but i feared to my death while walking the first floor as the stairs & the floor was creaked. Hope they fix that soon:) Haunted House was also fine as i didn't get scared for even a second😁

On way back from Chamundi hills, I came across it. Ticket price is 60 (for wax museum and scary/haunted house). The statues are nice (loved the Lalpana Chawla, mr. Bean and Charlie Chaplin), but the haunted house is not haunted at all. When i visited, a child was operating it and the timing was not accurate. The stairs of the museum is more scary than the scary house. I will be hoping an improvement here.

Overall as a recreational place I am rating 4 stars. The wax museum and the scary house are decent. There are additional outdoor activities like ATV ride, paint ball shooting, zorbing etc. Pricing is decent and there is a small snacks counter for recreation. Ticket is mandatory for children above 5 years. Combo ticket for museum and scary house is 100 per head.

It's good for children. Most of the statue seems to be not real wax. Some of the statue are really very good. So recommend for children. Ticket 60/ person. For kids it's free but for children it is chargeable. Horror zone is also available. Fare 60/person. If you combine both, then Rs 100/ person. Children will fear but adult will be bored. Foods are available. I have not tested. So no idea about taste. Cooked maggie (small size) is available for 40. Games zone is also available. Bull ride and one more. Other are under construction

Interesting place. There are multiple entertainment facilities including a museum of wax statues of a few important people. However, the staff who were struggling to protect the statues were rather rude. An average experience.

Had a great experience looking at the wax statues of mostly our Indian celebrities. What’s unique about this wax museum is the fact that it has wax replicas of some revered saints and also some never to be forgotten freedom fighters. πŸ’ͺ Keep up the good work, folks!

Nice place to hang around after coming down from chamundi hills.. Staff are friendly and would instruct about the fines incurred if wax statues are damaged especially when you are around with kids.. Puneeth Rajkumar statute was bit of a emotional and a main attraction to visitors.

There was a game zone too where there were many outdoor activities. It was worth visiting this place and spent more than an hour at this place..

I loved it so much...it was really good to see those wax models of all great celebrities. We took an auto from palace and reached there. Make sure you bargain with your auto driver. After reaching we enter inside and the cost was 20 for each and there is also a scary house. Since we were exhausted we didn't go up for scary house and we just entered into wax museum. There I saw many iconic people's idol. Many south Indian celebrities wax model, cricketers, spiritual individuals, Mona Lisa, cartoon characters, indian kings and ancient ministers and many others. It was exactly how they are and i feel the place was more worth than the money they charge.

Chamundeshwari Celebrity Wax Museum is a new addition of attraction in Mysuru. Can we call it is as Mysuru Tussaud's Museum! Yes. Chamundeshwari is a presiding diety of Mysuru Royal Family & museum is at foot of Chamundi hill, May be this is the reason founders have kept name for museum. Main Sculpture & architect being Mr. Umesh Shetty from Honavar- Mangalore, along with 15 of his team has started this museum. We can see life size wax statues of international fame as well Indian famous celebrities. To name few Jackson, Hitler, Dalai Lama, Einstein. Sir M. Visweswaraiah, Dr. Rajkumar, Gandhiji... It is worth visiting. It is next to Mysuru Race Course. Entrances fee is Rs 60 per head. Enough Parking space. Organisers need to improve ambience inside the museum. Centralized AC needs to be installed with improvement in lighting. Chain barricades needs to be fixed for all the statues. I appreciate hard work of the artists. My best wishes to the artists & definitely they will reach greater heights in a few days from now. You can spend an hour with your family. This museum is a hidden gem of Mysuru. It will not be on the must visit list of places for any tourist, but it definitely should be. Having been to Madame Tussauds in London, I can confidently say that the artists of this museum are as talented as the artists of Madame Tussauds. They probably work with less than one-tenth of the resources that the Madame Tussauds artists have and still have done a commendable job. Most of the statues were very good likenesses of their real life counterparts, while some were a miss (only a few, like Dhoni & Kalpana Chawla). The museum was empty when I visited so I assume they do not get many visitors. They need to do a better job of promoting the museum. Even many native Mysureans will not know about this place, let alone tourists. The hard work and talent of the artists needs to be seen and appreciated by many more people.

Very beautiful place. Collection and variety is good and not crowded. Have your peaceful time to enjoy the wax statues and click pictures. Entry fee is 60 rupees per person and it's totally worth it. Huge parking space and they won't charge for parking.. good place to stop by and visit while going to or coming back from Chamundi Hill.

Private wax museum. Houses a horror house and few activities like Archery, kids water sports, mountain bike etc. The wax models are lively. But few lacks perfection. Ticket costs 100 per head including horror house.

We visited this wax museum in Mysore which is on way to Chamundi Temple and it was fun. The ticket price of Rs. 60/- was also reasonable. There are many statues with whom you can click pics but without touching them. I felt maintenance of few statues were not done properly, dhoni's statue face was completely scratched and for one or two fingers were broken. This place has scare house as well for Rs. 60/- and other games like archery, atv, water ballon, shooting etc. You can find some quick eatables and drinks too. The premise has ample parking and has toilet facility too.

Be careful while driving to hill. The old Devotional space of Chamundi hill became a commercial centre now. It's very sad. 2 to 3.30 pm no entry for temple due to second round pooja arrangements. Cleanliness and basic facilities need to improved. Shops vendors demand 100% more money for any item.

  • 3/5 Raghu Ram A. 4 years ago on Google
Good place for a one time visit. But highly priced per ticket as it's not that explorative. Some good wax statues have been displayed but with poor interiors and poor lighting, doesn't match the standards. Bit far from the city.

Complete waste place. I did mistake to visit this place. Management is complete useless. There was group of some local people who were shouting in wax room and open guys was just wearing underwear and tshirt in that group. We complained to management but still they did not do any action again that man. No security is there to handle such goons for damaging wax status. Please avoid this place at any cost.
