Candy store

😐 Ok kind of sweet. As most of the people said . Owner is very rash and not customer friendly. they are throwing the money .. (between staff). No Google pay phone pay no you. Only cash. God knows about tax. Leave it, as it is none of my business. Mysore pak costs 600/- per kg. Which is quite expensive... People often mention Mysore, mysore, ghee, sweets, shop, sweet, taste, good, Guru, worth,

Out standing Mysore Pak. No explanation required It's one of the best in town. After guru sweets in Ulsoor Bangalore this was good. 600rs kg. Mysore Pak ghee and Mysore Pak milk and ghee was available. I had taken both. But i felt the ghee one was better than milk ghee. It was more solid and not melt in mouth texture.

Very famous sweet shop for ghee Mysorepak. They were nice enough to give generous pieces to us for tasting while we were leaving with our purchase. Extremely customer friendly. Made my day. Small corner shop. Always crowded with buyers.

If you are Mysore pak lover, and want to taste authentic Mysore pak from Mysore, must must visit Guru sweet mart. You will get various types of mysore pak including Ghee Mysore pak. Ghee Mysore pak (250grm is 150) is just awesome, melted in mouth. It will stay out of fridge 15days, onle reheat before eating, so proper taste will come out. You also get more varieties of sweets, but speciality is Mysore pak. If you will take for home which is another city or state, please mention them, they will pack like that. Staffs are very helpful.

Decent mysore pak. They have introduced mysore pak to the world in 1935. The history runs in that area so lot of people visit and one need to wait 30 minutes to get the mysore pak here. I have reduced 2 stars because of the guy who gives you mysore pak attitude is nowhere helping and the taste of the mysore pak is getting bad by last 2 decades. It was not the same mysore pak which we used to have at early 2000. For 1 kg special mysore pak it is 600 rupees which is too much for the taste they are offering. I wish they bring back the old taste and kick out that old guy who sits at the counter.

Not all worth all the hype. Could be an unpopular opinion but that’s my genuine thoughts. Yes, they have the legacy for introducing the Mysore Pak. That’s a good story to know but the products are not worth the price. Atleast not Mysore Pak. We specifically traveled to the store to get the sweets as we had heard about it. The packaging is not worth gifting to anyone. They just cut random blocks, without any proper shape. Even the cover is not gift worthy. The packaging and handling is not hygienic as well. They don’t use gloves to pack and flies can be seen sitting on the sweets. I would say, if you’re from Bangalore, go for Mysore Pak by Nandini. You can get them in any Nandini Parlours in Bangalore. If you’re travelling by flight, airport has exclusive Nandini outlet as well. The taste and texture of Nandini Mysore Pak is much better and the packaging makes it ideal for gifting.

Went on a popular search for mysore pak since u cant miss mysore pak if u visit mysore pak. Good varieties of sweets. Mysore pak had a few varieties too, like kaju mysore pak, badam mysore pak, dalda mysore pak & pure ghee mysore pak. Everything was good. But i felt i hav eaten some more melt in mouth mysore pak at other places than this. But fairly good place & packed a few for friends & relatives

I visited Guru Sweets Mysore during my trip to the city and I was amazed by the quality and taste of their sweets. The Mysore Pak was melt-in-your-mouth delicious, with a perfect balance of sweetness and richness. The staff was friendly and helpful, and they packed the sweets nicely for me to take home. The shop is small but clean and well-maintained. I highly recommend Guru Sweets Mysore to anyone who loves Indian sweets or wants to try something new. It is a must-visit place in Mysore!

Bought ghee Mysore pak. It was creamy in texture (shapeless). I liked it but not sure if its worth the hype. They accept only cash and you will have to wait for atleast 15 minutes to buy. Staffs are not much friendly.

MAHARAJA MUMMADI KRISHNARAJA WADIYAR, THE 19th-century king of South India’s Mysore Kingdom, was bored. He had a serious sweet tooth, but he’d grown tired of the creations of the royal kitchen. He told his cook, Kakasura Madappa, to create something new. In response to the directive, Madappa created a fudge-like concoction called Mysore pak. More than a century later, Madappa’s descendants continue to sell Mysore pak from their Mysore-based shop, Guru Sweet Mart. Many small stores across South India sell mediocre Mysore pak that can be either too wet or unpleasantly chalky, Guru Sweet Mart’s version is the antidote to uninspiring imitators: soft, with a toasty ghee smell and a lusciously melty mouthfeel. It is also an instant sugar rush you will feel in your veins.

Mysore Pak is a popular sweet dish that originated in the city of Mysore, located in the southern Indian state of Karnataka. It is a small store situated in the corner of the old market area. Can be easily spotted by the board n the crowd thronging both openings at the corner store. Went there only for their signature mysore pak which has a legacy of its own. They offer 3 varieties of mysore pak - good old dry/hard one with lot of holes n powdery in form, moist one with ghee n the special one prepared with both ghee n milk. Bought the ghee n special one for 600 per kilo. Loved the ghee pak, it was soft n delicate n reminds one of a bit older version of mysore pak where ghee was used adequately but not bathed in ghee (like the one in venkateshwara sweets, bengaluru) n was mildly sweet which lends it a unique taste. Had to almost wait for 20 mins to buy the sweets because of the crowd in the afternoon. In the meantime couldn't resist gazing at the other retro style sweets n ended up buying the doodh pedha which turned out to be very good. It reminded me of the ones I used to have in my childhood. However those who don't have the sweet tooth might find the pedha to be sweeter than their liking.

While the fresh and hot Mysore Pak tastes amazing the Hygeine is horrible. Look at the way they keep the fresh Pak before you eat it!!! The shops always full, the owner is friendly, but nothing on earth can beat Hygeine.

One of the oldest sweet shops in Mysore. Located in Devaraja market in the heart of Mydore, the small shop is itself a iconic destination.Mysore Pak is very special here. Must visit when you are in Mysore. The shop is in the route from Mysore palace to Mysore railway station.

Varieties of sweets and savoury snacks available here. Tasted ghee Mysore Pak. It's delicious. Melts in the mouth like butter. The shop is popular among locals too. Hence it is always crowded.

Not worth the hype. Was expecting it to be out of this world for a place that gave birth to Mysore pak.. loved Nandini Mysore pak more than this. Again taste is subjective and varies from person to person. Would recommend the milk Mysore pak.

I heard that, fore fathers of this shop owner are used to make Mysuru Pak in the palace during those times. Taste is good and authentic but not the person who is selling, he is not at all respectful and patience.
