Never explored this angle of Chamundi Betta before until one of my friend showed this.. Best place to sit and relax at the evening times.. It's around 900 steps if you walk from down in the steps and around 100 steps down if you walk from top.. Do visit this place if you are around evening time..

A place for a perfect sunset. If you are visiting chamundi temple then do visit this view point. A peaceful and perfect place for a beautiful evening. Most of the tourist don't know about this place and the way to the viewpoint is bit confusing, do ask any local people about the view point they can help you. Also do visit during rainy season the view is better that time.

The view point is just amazing. By standing here, you can see the spectacular view the Mysore city. You can find the view point at the 900th steps. Totally worth climbing all those stairs for this view. You can also buy fruits and cool drinks from the 600th step.

Most ppl are coming with lots of sounds, music and all such nonsense... We request everyone to maintain the sanctity of the place by keeping the silence and observing things as they are

This is the best place in mysore. When ever I visit mysore visiting chamundi hills and watching sunset/sun rise at this view point is mandatory for me. We can see whole mysore city and city lights during evening and night. Although you are not allowed past 7 at this view point.

The sunset view point is truely a proper view point. You can sit on the rocks and stare at the end of the horizon as the sunsets on behind the city skyline and watch the city light slowly turn on one by one. The roads and the houses look much better when the sun has went. There are quite a few foot trails going off the cobbled path which are recommended if you are confident enough to not hurt yourself

Chamundi Hills, located in Mysore, Karnataka, is a revered spiritual and natural attraction. The hills are home to the Chamundeshwari Temple, dedicated to Goddess Chamundeshwari, an incarnation of Goddess Durga. The temple, perched atop the hills, offers panoramic views of the city below. Climbing the 1,000 steps to the temple is considered a spiritual journey for devotees. The hilltop also houses the colossal Nandi statue, a symbol of Lord Shiva's mount. Besides its religious significance, Chamundi Hills also offer a refreshing escape with lush greenery, serene surroundings, and opportunities for nature walks and photography. Whether you seek spiritual solace or want to admire the beauty of nature, Chamundi Hills provides a peaceful and rejuvenating experience.

Amazing spot. But too dangerous at the same time. Drunk ppl and ppl who are afraid of heights please avoid this place. Do not risk. Chances for fall at the slippery rock.

You get to the birds eye view of most of Mysore city. When you are at this place, its joy to just turn on GPS and locate different places and try to find them. You can reach this point when following footsteps to ChamundiBetta..
