One of the most beautifully decorated hostels I have stayed in! Very comfortable and clean indeed. Loved how convenient the location is. Would definitely recommend you all to check out The Old House cafe which is at a walking distance from Roambay. A big thank you to the hospitality staff who made us feel so at home ❤️ I love it. Everything was clean and tidy and the staff is also very polite. I recommend anyone wants to or planning to stay. Its amazing just give it a try.

In the Instagram post for volunteering it was mentioned for minimum one month stay. On reaching from a very far away place. The owner lucky mentioned that he needs minimum 3 month commitment of stay and for food they will give ₹ 3000 for a month that is rs 100 for a day. He basically needs a person to work the comunity manager job profile for free. Stay away from freeloader people. There are better stay options in Mysore.

For India standard it is a good hostel. However my experience was not reflecting the excellent rating. I booked a twin room with a bunk bed. It seems in Booking that you are booking the whole room. Only for this room they made a mistake, instead of selecting number of beds, it displays number of rooms. I advice them to change it. The room is really noisy as it is besides the entry. You hear everything (people speaking outside, kid playing, people spiting, the construction sites…). The windows of the room is next to a staircase leading to a place where a family live. At 6 am they were throwing things on the stair - it is was so noisy. At 2 am i had to ask someone to stop to be so loud on the phone sitting outside. It is also close to the bathroom, therefore you hear often spiting noises. They claim to have super clean toilets, which is not the case. They are okay, but not super clean. WIFI connection breaks very often. They charge 2% if you pay with a credit card. One man was often in the house helping. Unfortunately it could not speak English, but he did his best. The location, the house, the kitchen and common areas are really good.

The hostel is perfect for backpackers, located in center of city and easy access to all amenities. I can sincerely say this is one of the best hostels I've stayed at in recent years. It was clean and well-kept as it was when I first visited back in 2019. Preethi was so welcoming, informative, and friendly. Got to make loads of memories with new friends. Budget friendly, also you get to taste delicious food prepared by chef.

*Late post but heartful post* I am solo traveler travelling from Bengaluru without any knowledge of Mysore for Dussera events but only good thing I have done in prior is that booking at this place seeing online reviews. The place is too good for backpackers, the property is clean, good and same as shown in online portals. Now comes the best part of the trip, meeting the property owner Pavan who is young and well spoken, with his guidance and inputs I have successfully completed. The only reason writing this review is that, I have booked this place seeing online reviews and would help others also .....Would surely visit this place again :)

The hostel is located in the best location. The female dorm was clean but the washroom attached to it was soooo bad. They have a lot of common washrooms in one place which was so good. Common area lacks hostel vibe as there was nothing, may be during my time of visit.

As I never experienced Hostel days in my education period, this was the best way to experience the hostel Life, meet people, have conversations, their experience, many of them are like minded, backpackers, budget travellers, Professionals, for affordable, clean, near accomodation.. Roambay is a heritage property, carefully restored,yet having more toilets, bathroom, kitchen area, lawn area open space , Open common space for Watching Idiot box .. Staff is very friendly, easy check in, digital payment, need to give them a govt ID Kindly call them to find out the tariff when compared to other competitors and facilitators... Mysore palace is less than 2 km, Mysore University, Kukkarahalli lake are quiet nearby, u can have a walk in morning n evening walk. Well connected by Public transport.. Many small tea stalls, food places are of walkable distance.. Rooms are very clean n Tidy, that too with Air conditioner, as Mysore is hotter in Summers... I thoroughly enjoyed the place...

Three days at this place. I can never forget. This place is hidden gem 💎. After being here. I don't think. I can go to any other place to stay in Mysore except Roambay. The people who come to stay here are very friendly, in no time stranger become friends, explore the city with new friends. Every penny 💵 which we pay is worth it.

very nice place to be, good location. The house-building it's so interesting because is old and the owners keep all in order and clean. Finally I can recomend the dormitory are comfortable with ac and fan, laundry service is available.

Excellent place to stay at in when in Mysore. The rooms are quiet with a fan, and the bathrooms are clean. It's also a great way to meet other travelers that you can easily make plans with to see other places. The staff is very helpful and nice.

I loved the stay. Go there with your friends. The pricing is comfortable. Beautiful wooden interiors, giving you a Play house feel. Some rules that you need to abide. Even though we were late they didn't hesitate to get us in. Food is available but we missed it out . Take your toiletries along with you (towel also).

I visited first time. Experience is very good. Cleanliness, hospitality, room comfort, kitchen for cooking, bathroom all was too best. Homely feeling. Next time I will come here only.

Stayed at Roambay for about 2 nights and 3 days, and had a wonderful experience. It was my first time that I've stayed at a hostel, but i wasn't disappointed at all. Me and my sister were staying in the 6 bed female dormitory and we loved it. Got to meet so many people from across the globe, had some deep conversations with them. Everything about Roambay was perfect, the infrastructure,the vibe, it's location. It was within close proximity of the railway station, the palace. Easily found modes of conveyance to go to places, swiggy Zomato deliver food here as well. So there was no hassle as such that one had to go through. The owners Pavan and Harshita are one of the sweetest hosts that I've met. Highly recommended staying here, totally affordable and worth every penny spent.

Very spacious and well maintained. Separating toilets and shower rooms, and centralising them at one place is a good idea. The only missing part is some indoor games like Table tennis / foosball. Internet sometimes is very slow.

Fantastic value for money, areat ambience, decent location, very convenient for solo travellers like me. Highly recommend this place for all.

I stayed in a dormitory, a well maintained. they are so friendly. my most priority was to find a decent parking space to my bike so got the perfect place!! So when i have to visit the Mysore, i don't have to Google it for hostels again:)

This hostel is located in a beitiful house with garden. It is centrally located, not far from the palace. It is a bit far from the yoga studios though. The hostel is very clean and has more showers and bathrooms then most other hostels. The beds are comfortable and the dorms are divided in 2 spaces. One downstairs and one upstairs. That looks very nice. The staff is friendly and very helpful.

Super clean, relaxed and peaceful hostel, one of the best I’ve stayed in so far! Met some lovely people and the staff is very chill and sweet too. The building is an old well-restored home that still has some of the historical architecture. I definitely plan to stay here again!

I had a very good stay at roambay. The personal ist very friendly and helpful, I had single room, it was very comfortable and clean. Can really recommend to stay there!

Bathrooms are clean. Location is perfect. Dorms are comfortable amd quite. Overall its great value for money. Beware there are lot of mosquitos, so dont forget to get ur mosquito cream.

Quaint little hostel with friendly staff. A little removed from the main streets of Mysore, it is removed from the daily hustle and bustle of traffic and horns for the most part. The prices for the beds could be a bit on the higher side, but they try to ensure that most of the facilities provided are all well in the end. The place is pretty accessible and serves as a good roof over your head during your journeys.

Beautiful house, located in a nice neighborhood of Mysore, its garden is like an oasis in the city. Very clean rooms, double room a bit small but with a great bathroom. 15-20 minute walk to points of interest in Mysore.

Had a lovely stay here! The place is clean and well maintained. Food is awesome. You can have three meals which is not included with the stay. Staff are very nice. There’s a nice outdoor spot for yoga too. I enjoyed my stay here. I’ll definitely be back soon

This hostel is so good. Vibe is amazing . It's like an old but very pl maintained house converted into hostel . Interiors are so cool . Dorms are also good. Although there is a staircase that is very tricky to climb and carrying heavy luggage is going to be hard on first floor. Ground floor dorms are good . Working area aka common area is good. Though there were mosquitos near couch in front of TV. There is a big LED smart TV connected to wifi . Overall it's a good place to stay. Also you can use the kitchen to cook . Don't know how much they will charge for that because the charged for using their iron . You can wash clothes in machine and pay for using the machine .

Well maintained and cozy cute place with nice decor and garden around. Internet is good . It’s totally vegetarian place. The female shared washrooms are too small, it could have been little bigger (it’s not so bad) the twin dorm room could have had a small area with blinds to change or get ready since the washrooms are not attached. Apart from that it’s tidy, clean and well kept..

This is a very nice hostel, close to railway station and Maysor place, the management of this hostel is very good, it is a neet clean place, you will get all basic amenities here in a economic cost. I stay here for 1 day with my friends and enjoy a lot here.

Beautiful house. Great beds and common area. Friendly hosts and excellent service. Only the kitchen is underequipped, you don't find alot of utensils.

I pass through Mysore often and Roambay is my top choice. It's a well maintained and efficiently run hostel (with private and dorm rooms) that offers travellers with various budgets a slice of life in Karnataka's royal garden City. Pavan and his team make guests feel at home. And yes, the bathrooms and rooms are squeaky clean and cleaned daily!
