Any time you can visit this mosque , Especially Thursday they held a special pray at evening. So little rush in this place at thursday. Some of the people stay there to cure their illness. Famous festival of this mosque are The Flag Hoisting (punithamigu kodiyettram), Dismounting of Holy Flag (punithamigu kodiyerakkam) and The Grand uruz festival of sanshawaliallah Dargah is held every Year !

CHANDSHAH WALI DHARGA aka AMBARAMPALAYAM DHARGA (அம்பராம்பாளையம் தர்கா) – Ambarampalayam, Pollachi, Coimbatore District This is one of the very famous dharga. Thursdays are very special here. We can see a huge crowd on Thursdays where people from different districts of Tamil Nadu and Kerala visit here to solve their worldly pleasures. Apart from this, this place is believed to cure people who are mentally challenged. One can stay here on Thursday and take part in the prayers performed here at night irrespective of Caste, Creed or Religion. Men are allowed inside to visit and see Baba but women can stay out and pray from outside. There is a well whose water is believed to be sacred. One has to fetch some water in a bottle or jar and can keep it inside Baba and can get them back before leaving. They can mix this water with their regular water and have it in small doses. Special prayers are done for people who have specific problems and they are given Lemons, Oil and Water after special prayers done for them. There is a river on the sideways of the dharga.

I liked the location where we have the Dargah located. On the other hand, I wasn’t interested in any other things except praying inside the mosque! Overall, it was nice experience. As the river is close by , one can relax a bit.

It's on Pollachi - Palakkad Road. 8kms from Pollachi after a bridge, Dargah is to the left. Parking space is available. One can perform thier prayers here. It's very calm and peaceful. Give some alms to the needy people at its entrance. There is an opening at one side to the river bed. One can first go to the river and could do the prayers. It's strongly advised "not to go" in the river as it's dangerous for kids, elders and new comers. One can just wet their legs and get out of the river.

The village now is host to the famous Ambarampalayam Dargah that is believed to be built during the visit of Tipu Sultan. It accommodates the tomb of Hazrat Chand Shah Waliullah, the 18th generation descendant of the Islamic Prophet Muhammad. Source
