Simple nice, neatly maintained railway station. Centrally located with ample travel options outside the station. Autos don't run on meter here but check the Ola rates n bargain if possible with the regular auto drivers. Most auto drivers are nice and charge you right! They also offer to do sightseeing so choose as per your priorities!

Most peaceful railway station ever. It may been seem small but it has major connections to all over India. Like Chennai and Varanasi. You can get things done here. Not too much crowd or confusion. Mysore is simply the best. Simple nice, neatly maintained railway station. Centrally located with ample travel options outside the station. Autos don't run on meter here but check the Ola rates n bargain if possible with the regular auto drivers. Most auto drivers are nice and charge you right! A nice place but crowded as always. It's big and spacious but when the passengers arrive, everyone rushes to the lift or to the staircase pushing and pulling each other. A helpful prepaid auto stand is ready to take you to your destination. Cab services also is available.

We arrived Mysuru on 6th May 2022 around 3.00 A.M. We take some rest in waiting room. Station and waiting hall is neat and clean. Out side of the station also neat and clean. Good and safety place.

One of the best cleaned and hygienic railway station situated in Karnataka state. From mysore town hardly 2 KM long to this railway station. Passengers will get trains from here to pan India. Climate is cold. Mysore is very famous for its tourist places such as Mysore palace, Zoo, Chamundeswari temple,Brindavan garden,Somanathapura Temple,ST. Phelomena's cathedral, Namdroling monastery, Forum centre city mall etc....

The station itself looks like a big Palace, it is constructed on the theme of palace.. Because Mysuru is well known famous for palaces. Well, we visited here during the time of Mysuru Dasara... This is how it looked like.. with full decors around the station... The station is very neat and tidy... Here inside there is a railway hotel which serves you clean and tasty food at affordable price

The Mysore Railway Station that is located in the heart of the city connects the city with every major city in India. Mysore railway station has three lines that connect the city to Bangalore, Hassan and Chamarajanagar. Inside the railway station on the main platform you can find the Passenger Care center, Waiting Rooms, Toilets, Clock Room, refreshment stalls, news stand, Chemist shop and even a heritage exhibition gallery. Though most of the long distance trains start from the platform 1 which is very easy to get to, trains arriving to Mysore usually comes on other platforms. Till Mysore Junction gets the escalator one has to use that flyover for other platforms. For senior citizens and physically challenged passengers there is a Buggy service (battery car) that can drop you near the coach on the platform. There are quite a few ATMs attached to the railway station building. A few of them are near the ticket counter while the rest are in a row along the columned verandah in front on the main building. Beyond the prepaid booth is the parking lot for two wheelers and cars. There are two roads that connects the railway station with the rest of the city - the Irwin Road and the JLB Road. Both start from the junction right in front of the railway station. Irwin Road takes you to the KSRTC Bus Stand while JLB Road goes all the way till the foothills of Chamundi Hills.

It is a clean station. The washrooms are clean and the staff there are also very friendly and approachable. There is a waiting room for Men and Women on the first platform. Prepaid auto taxi service is available at the entrance/exit of the station, outside the platform number 1. Booking token costs 1 rupee. The bus stand is at a five minutes drives from the station, the Mysore palace is also nearby. The use of the prepaid auto taxi service is advised as the auto drivers might charge you well above the actual charges.

Perhaps the cleanest urban space that I have seen for a very long time. You could almost eat off the floor….just kidding but this has to be one of Mysore’s showcase place. Senior citizens and the physically challenged - there is an escalator to make your life very easy!
