Discovered it via Google Maps, we decided to try out this establishment. New restaurant in Lesvos by a young couple, the cuisine is a fusion of traditional and modern Greek cuisine. We literally ordered half of the dishes off the menu, and oh boy what an experience! Chef is a Brit, the food was swiftly executed and prepared properly. No delays between dishes. All in all, we had a great dining experience and wholeheartedly recommend Mezedopoleio 28.

We randomly stumbled upon this place looking for the next door restaurant and now I can honestly say that it was the best thing that could have happened to us in Mitilini. After we read some reviews and saw the pics of the food we decided to try is ourselves. We tried their bread, greek salad, tzatziki, baked figs, sauted mushrooms, calamari and osso buco, beer, whine and even the wine liquor. We got some helpful recommendations and felt very welcome throughout the whole time. All the food was great and to me a perfect Greek cuisine with a modern twist. Since we were not holding back our bill was a bit higher, but the prices are nice in comparison to other places (price/value ratio definitely one of the best so far). If you are in Mitilini do not miss out on this one. ;)

What a rare gem!! Food is Greek with an inventive twist, very indicative of the owners’ experience in the UK coupled with their Mytilini roots. The osso bucco was so tender that our 9-month-old toothless baby ate it up! Zucchini flowers, fried olives and (surprisingly) tacos are also must-try’s. Most produce comes from the family farm. We ended up going twice during a 4-day vacation. Go before the crowds find this!!

Excellent small bistro in the city center. Not a "typical" Lesbian cousine but the cook very cleverly twists local dishes and executes perfectly all his recipes. Strongly recommended!!

Hallumi Sticks and potato chips were really delicious. The salad was very tasty and rich with different tastes and vegetables too. The prices are reasonable and it is just in the center of the town. Owners speak perfect English and were very helpful as it was windy and we didn't have jackets.

A great place for dinner. If you are tired of repetitive menu in a typical Greek tavern and would like to try something new, this is a perfect place to do so. It has lots of traditional Greek dishes with a twist. And you will enjoy it in a nice, warm and welcoming environment. It's also vegetarian-friendly.

After having traditional island seafood every meal for 4 days, this was a pleasant change. We ordered pork belly, mussels in white wine, satay chicken as mains and nachos, buttered prawns, bang bang cauliflower and mushroom stragononof for starters. Pleased with every dish. We will come back again.

Such a needed break from traditional Greek cuisine! The pork belly in particular was great. If you’re struggling to find something different AND with gluten free options (marked on the menu online), this is the place! The owners are super cool as well.

The owner, she was very cute and friendly. We had a great chat. The meal, octopus was very fresh and delicious. Since I was alone for lunch, she offered to serve the mezes as half a portion just to make me try them. I will be visiting on my next trip for sure!

We have been here 3 times and have loved it every time and everything on the menu! Don’t miss the chance to experience this authentic energetic fun and warm service in an alleyway tucked away behind the commercial harbour front. As a foodie - the food is always totally amazing - kudos to the chef’s bold and innovative choices to meld traditional Greek cuisine with something else - so we’ll presented and in a word … Yummy!

Dinner at Mezedopoleio 28 was easily the best meal I had during my last month traveling across the Balkans; a serendipitous culinary experience not to be missed while on Lesvos. Adam and Kally (the owners/operators) source all their ingredients locally, and their vast experience abroad and rich knowledge of food contribute to the gastronomical journey each of the flavors will take you on. Kally runs the front of house, while Adam is the genius chef behind each mouthwatering plate. I can not rate this experience highly enough!
