Dined there on my birthday. Huge variety of dishes on the catalogue offered. Ordered plenty of appetizers, traditional Greek salad, roasted calamari, octopus and BarbaGianni ouzo. Fair prices, ultra delicious food and excellent service. Highly recommended!

We went to the restaurant on the first day of the year and it was packed with people all without masks which is strange when restrictions for pandemic is tightening. They were kind enough to give us a table without reservation but later when a family of 4 came, they asked if we could move. It was asked kindly but under the pretext that this part of the restaurant is for unvaccinated! We showed vaccination certificate upon arrival and the move was bizarre. The food was tasty but it took ages to arrive.

This place is good. It was a decent meal. I ordered lamb chops and a Greek salad. I wasn’t overly impressed with any of it, although it was ok. My biggest problem is the service. It took me 20 minutes to get the bill and after I ordered I never saw the wait staff again.

Overrated. The good reviews compelled us to give them a try. It was a disappointing experience. The place was full but there was a lack of staff to handle the demands and we waited much too long to order, for every request, and to close out our bill. The food was disappointing, and, to agree with another reviewer, mustard is much too prevalent as an addition to many dishes. Ask before placing an order if mustard is part of your dish. This practice seems to have spread the last several years in Greece, and I’m perplexed by the rise of mustard to such prevalence. I ordered the liver, and, yes, it came with mustard! The classic Greek preparation is to make it with olive oil, and top with lemon and oregano. Mustard? My mother is turning over in her grave. I requested olive oil, and the oil brought to the table was not EV, but a watery lesser quality with a near-clear color. Shame when one realizes that the island of Lesvos is renowned for it’s quality of olive oil.

Stuffed onions were fantastic. High quality, very well cooked lamb chops are 22EUR per kilos. Despite the crowd, we got a good service. Thank you to all hardworking service staff. They treat us with a nice desert after we pay the bill, it was very kind.

Very good choice for dinner! The only disappointment is the mustard in almost every grill dish! They make us very happy when they bring the desserts! Not what you expect from a traditional tavern but make the kids happy!

We've been going to (pronounced Vah-yes) for years and their quality is always high, the girls serving, very friendly and quick and the atmosphere absolutely lovely, a stone paved garden, with trees and flowers all around, small fountains and friendly cats. Probably one of the best taverns in Mytilene.
