Great hotel very well located near the Airport! From the windows, you could actually see the Airport. Staff are great and ready to serve and help you. However at times they can be so overwhelmed that you will not feel taken care off as expected. But that confirms one thing: they are just humans! The rooms are fine and hot water works very well! Food is great for the price you pay for it! FRENCH Great hotel very well located near the Airport! From the windows, you could actually see the Airport. I laugh at the reviews that expect the same as western hotel conditions when you are in N'Djaména, Tchad (yes an outdoor gym will be hot during the day, laughable). Clean rooms with effective AC, attentive service, very good food and generous portions, made to order omelettes and a continental breakfast that is comparable to, gasp, continental Europe. Some people need to leave their postal code more often before posting 1* reviews, completely unfair.

So, here’s the thing. If you’re trying to compare this to the Four Seasons in Prague, you’re out of your element. Take it for what it is… one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in sometimes difficult environments. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. No frills, but then… what do you expect. Things work well. Not perfectly, mind you. Don’t expect the shower to drain quickly. But there is hot water. Electricity. Decent internet (I can stream from my Roku!). The food is outstanding. The service is excellent. Staff are kind, accommodating, and speak a variety of languages. I honestly feel at home. I compare this to some of the best hotels in the developing world and find it to be not just above average, but superior. I have water delivered every day. The bedding is fresh. There’s a clothes washer in my unit (no iron, but hey… let’s not get crazy). The security seems attentive and yet not overly aggressive. If you’re looking for a pleasant stay in N’Djamena and are accustomed to this type of travel, you won’t do better. So take a leap outside the European comfort zone and enjoy your stay. It’s a beautiful place in a beautiful country and it should be judged accordingly. To me, five stars. I hope you enjoy your stay.

I had a delightful stay at La Residence hotel, conveniently located near N'Djamena airport. The spacious, impeccably clean rooms provided a comfortable retreat. The staff was exceptionally polite, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere throughout my visit. The restaurant impressed with its diverse menu, featuring a delicious selection of Asian cuisine. The breakfast buffet was satisfying, contributing to an overall pleasant experience. Highly recommend for a convenient and enjoyable stay.

Overall, this hotel would rate a 3 in the states. Cons: The shower was tiled with a slope that held water on the back portion of the shower. I requested a squeegee to help keep the water from sitting. Which in a country with the possibility of malaria is not a positive thing. I was there for 2 weeks, and there was no shampoo or conditioner provided. Also, there was no really gym available. There was some machines at the end of the pool, which were rarely used. And with 100+ temperatures, the possibility of using was very limited. There are lots of unused areas through the hotel which could easily accommodate space for an indoor gym. Also, the lobby was never air conditioned. Which for arriving guests standing in line could be unbearable. Breakfast buffet was a joke. Not much selections available. A few fruits which were not resupplied regularly for guests. A few pastries and slices a bread. Also, omelets were bland and they took too long, which in the morning as you're trying to eat before you start your work day, could be bothersome. Wifi was always slow or would stop working. Which when you're there for a business trip could be very frustrating. Pros; The only restaurant on the site was actually very good. The manager in charge was very receptive to his guests' needs. The food was always fresh and delicious. So my compliments to the chef. The selection was extraordinary. This was actually the saving grace to our stay at the hotel. Another pro was the hotel was very close to the airport. There was a could of good restaurants within walking distance. Also, another pro was the friendliness of the staff who were always receptive to our needs. Again, another saving grace for the hotel.

Don't forget, this is Ndjamena, Chad. Rooms are good, especially the ones facing the pool. If you stay a longer time make sure to get one of these. Service is very good. Sometimes it's a bit slow for the hurried ones but overall very good. The pool is good. Gets quite full.on weekends with visitors. It's one of the vey few pools in the city The food is also excellent. Albeit the price is quite high for food and drinks. But the restaurant is probably one of the best in the country, so that's probably adequate.

The breakfast was a joke, literally, two kind of fruits, bread, butter, croissants and some water. That's it. Ooh. The water from an opened bottle. Non hospital personnel. I didn't received a coffee until i have asked them twice!!! The wifi internet is a shame...you have to buy a local Sim if you want to call home. No Gym as they say on the internet page (2 workout devices outside in the torid sun...for real????) Overall, BAD IMPRESION, DONT RECOMMEND

This is a great hotel! The service is excellent, the rooms are extremely clean, the grounds well manicured, it’s close to the airport and the restaurant is outstanding. The restaurant is probably the best in chad. I recommend the captain fish skewer, club sandwich, and the curry. It is pretty expensive though and i was a little surprised to be paying NYC entree prices. Whatever, the food is great so its worth it. I stayed here for weeks and had a great experience.

Very close to the airport. Bedrooms are functional. Food is very good. Wait staff are professional. Large, beautiful pool and pool area with large pool-side drinks and snack bar.

The hotel made a lot of improvements since my last stay. It looks better now and the food at the restaurant is so good and tasty! However, the owners should put a little more emphasis on the cleanliness of the toilets and aeration of the rooms. Despite the security context which might justify the blinders on the windows, the rooms need a little bit of more light and aeration.

Got charged twice for my dinner after paying the counter in cash for a pizza and soda and charged for the same meal again when I came back a month later insisting that I didnt pay. There are plenty of resturaunts to eat at close to the hotel. The rooms are good and staff are also good. Basically got a call from my employer 2020 a few months after writing this review basically telling me to remove it as the hotel wasnt happy with it. Little did they know I had already resigned and now downgrading this from two stars down to one star

It seems the cook doesn't know how to cook a hamburger properly. It was undercooked twice. Hard to get coffee in the mornings. Equipment in the room is in poor working order and they have a problem with ants even though they are (covid) cleaning.

Rooms are comfortable, the pool is large, and the bar/restaurant is quite good for casual dinner or drink (but not cheap). Breakfast not great, but ok. Hidden on the right side of the pool is a second, more stylish, French fusion restaurant with a nice menu.

Services and ambience perfect; again and again this hotel has maintained its standards, and I recommend it for any traveler that wants good services and peaceful stay in Ndjamena. If you ever want to eat out, I highly recommend Laya Lina restaurant, about 150m from the hotel

As good as you're going to get in Chad. Internet sometimes pretty good but in the middle of the week pretty bad. Clean and safe and good service, as well as dinner by the pool.

👍 Overall, I would say I thoroughly enjoyed the 7 nights I spent in this hotel. It is a place that aspires to be 5 stars, but is closer to 3 stars. I think it deserves 4 stars. At first they put me in a regular room, and I was surprised by how bad the quality was. No windows, mediocre cleanliness, an...
