Our stay at the Riverlap Homestay was exquisite, and one of the best stays of our 15 day road-trip across the west coast of India. The scenic beauty, heat-warming hospitality and amazing food are just some the highlights: 1. The homestay in located on an estuary with a large backwater body on one side and the sea on the other. The location is nothing short of awe inspiring, and you can spend away hours sitting next to the backwater and taking in the nature. 2. The hosts were extremely welcoming and cooked us some of the best home-cooked Malayali food we had ever had. The food was just too good! 3. The rooms were super comfortable, and very very cozy, the exterior deco was spot on, and just adds so much character to the property. 4. The location is a hidden instagram gem, if you love taking pictures you will not be disappointed. 5. Extremely good value for money, this stay far outweighs some of the 5 star luxury resorts I have stayed in 1/10th the price. Overall, I would blindly recommend anyone to go stay here.

We had a vey positive experience while staying here. Excellent location and walkable distance to beach. One of the best beaches I have seen. Very clean and pristine. The property is right in between Tejasvini river and beach and has a private pool where you can do boating. A perfect example of eco tourism and definitely a must visit place for a home stay. Good hospitality and homely delicious food particularly if you are a seafood enthusiast.

This place is outstanding, fantastic. My wife and I stayed five nights and we are happy to experienced it. If you’re looking for a peaceful and relaxing time near the beach and the back waters, Riverlap Homestay will not disappoint you, to the contrary! Beautiful houses, surrounded by palmtrees and water poules. Very clean as well. The food is delicious, every evening another Kerala dish, served in the family house on the property. The owner Vinu is very helpful and willing to assist, for example arranging al kind of transport and sight seeing trips like on the house boats.

We visited as a family of 7 and a kid. Our stay was amazing. The location is in between riverbed and beach - both within walking distance. We had the best time soaking in the sunrise and the sunset. The food was tasty and perfect. The host also agreed to make special food for our 3-year-old. The room was clean and well-kept. The area had boating. The host also helped us with Kayaking and Houseboating. I would highly recommend this place for your next vacation in nature's lap.

We had the pleasure to stay in this beautiful homestay for 2 nights in March. It's even more beautiful in reality... and very peaceful, between the river and the beach. We really enjoyed just relaxing in the hammock and looking at the pond with the birds and palm trees. The food was incredible, the best we had. And the host and family were so kind and attentive.

We had two beautiful and serene days at Riverlap homestay.. The location is away from the city in the middle of nature surrounded by pond and river and very close to sea.. Our travel around was suggested and organised by the owner Vinod..food had variety and yet simple as per our taste bud and choice and place was kept very clean. Meals that were not part of the package were also arranged if need be.Pond which is part of the homestay adds to its beauty. Overall we had a great time..and would love to come back.

Our time at the Riverlap Homestay was greatly relaxing and an enjoyable one. The Homestay is located amidst green and serene environment near the banks of River Tejaswini. We were well looked after by Mr. Vinod, the homestay owner, who guided us on the activities we could do such as Kayaking and Boat House Cruise, and places we could visit like Bekal Fort, Azhithala Beach, a hill station, and some ashrams. Means of conveyance was also arranged by him at the homestay. A special thanks to Mr. Vinod's family for the delicious home cooked traditional Kerala meals. Would recommend anyone staying/going to stay at the homestay to opt for these delicious meals that is a unique experience in itself. Though there may have been slight language difficulties in communication, the amount of hospitality and kindness meted out by the hosts transcended all barriers and we felt a homely ease. Our rooms were well maintained and clean. We thank everyone at the homestay for ensuring we had a great time!

We stayed here for 3 nights with small kids. The stay was flawless. Owner Vinu guided us to the places to visit near by. The Kerala food served was delicious and had lots of verity. Krishnan served us the food as per our requirement with care. The location was top notch, its between the back water and the sea. Beach is 5-10 mins walk and most enjoyable place for kids. Overall a calm, scenic and peaceful place to stay.

I gifted this place as a wedding anniversary gift to my parents. They managed everything from recieving them and dropping them to the railway station to providing many services. My parents are very happy with the courteous staffs, great food and beautiful place. They also provided a peddle boat which was a fun xperience for them.
