One of the decent vegetarian restaurant in main ooty area Kids will love this place. They have a good car parking area. Service is good. In peak timing it will take a lot of time to attend the table. Vada - best dish of them. Mysore masala dosa - ok not great or bad. Plain dosa - is good. Coffee is good! Pongal - not that much great!! For me I felt Price is little higher!

I had gone on trip with my family in ooty. We are searching for veg restaurant and we go to know about this . The Ambience was good and staff is very courteous. Food is super delicious but the prices are quite high. I had ordered one thali and it was so delicious 😍❤️ and yummiest. It is good place to have amazing food .

Nahar has two restaurants and both are excellent, the quality of food and amazing service. Compared to A2B this is far better... Has a good parking space as well

Good vegetarian fine dining restaurant in Ooty. Quality and service is excellent. We visited on a Saturday afternoon during Diwali holidays and they managed to serve us without much delay. We were a group of 10 people.

The cost was on the higher side but the food was good . Had Idly , Mysore Masala Dosa , Butter milk & curd rice . Ordered a Fruit salad too for take away . The quantity was very less for the amount charged . The quality of food & ambience of the restaurant was good .

Pure veg restaurant in the upper road of ooty, basically the food street. Must try is their South Indian thali. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very earthy and it just has that early 90’s vibe. Try this one for sure when in ooty.

One of the lowest and poorest food quality. Dum hydrabadi biryani was extremely spicy and tasteless, When we complained about it Manager said this is how we make the biryani. Do not visit this restaurant

Really shocking to see negative reviews.I have been visiting this restaurant almost every summer since my return back to India for good( sine 2009) Place is neat Food is excellent Very good hospitality Price is not an issue if you love tasty food as quality comes with price. One of the best idli you ever can have. Parking can be an issue if self driving particularly during peak hours. Great experience 👍

Afternoon lunch was good but the service was horrible. Parking is huge and can accommodate around 30 cars Food was good, we had tried south Indian thali Service, you need to tell things many times to get it right! Even to get table we had tell numerous times and finally someone who came 10 mins later just barged in snat he'd the table. The manager then started acting like a donkey towards us! The wait time to get food service also takes time and many customers where asking to cancel the order and left inbetween their lunch

One of old and best restaurants to have food in Ooty irrespective of the time you are visiting here. They have a separate restaurant which serves just breakfast and other for the thalis. Service is fast and food is good. Enough parking space too.

Best in Ooty for food lovers. We had ordered Punjabi food for dinner & all items were good in taste & quality. The Manager Kalim & staff are obedient & ready to serve all the time. Served hot dinner & every one enjoyed the food . I strongly recommend to visit & test the Punjabi north Indian food here.

One of the best places where I had found the most delicious North Indian vegetarian food. The hotel is premium and hence expensive but the food tasted out of the world. The ambience of the place is also luxurious and gives a royal feeling though it doesn't have any great view since it is located in a busy main market (if this is the expectation from Ooty restaurant) Service has some scope for improvement.

Pathetic and very disappointing service. I think the waiters work there only for money and not for satisfaction of customers. The waiter serving us kept looking into our purse, how many notes we had and what notes did we have. This in itself was very intruding. When we kept the tip, he said he doesn't want it because it is insulting, the note being too less. How ridiculous that is! Is it insulting for him or is it insulting the customer. His service didn't even deserve a tip, still we tried to be courteous. Right since we entered the restaurant, he was rude to us about where our child should sit and then when we started looking at the menu, he said for jain food, don't look at the menu, only 1-2 items are available. So, we appreciated thinking he was helping us, however, when we tried asking him if they could make something from the menu, he said 'I told you don't look at the menu, nothing is available for you'. Do they even realise that providing food is serving the basic necessity for a human being and by being rude and showing this attitude, they think they are doing us a favour! Very very very disappointing. On top of this when we tried to talk to someone else, he was least interested in listening to us. I mean just because you have a good name, you don't build goodwill like the way you are going. Service speaks for itself and this attitude won't allow Nahar Chandan restaurant to have a good name that will last forever.

This place is great! The atmosphere is very chill and the staffs are so welcoming. Amazing briyanis, starters, milkshakes & my favourite filter coffee 😍 The service from Mr. Anand is heart-melting. Appreciate his kindness and quality service with a smiling face. I will visit this restaurant again whenever I visit Ooty.

I want to rate half star. The food is good but i have never seen the worst staff anywhere else. They won't serve you anything if you won't ask for it. Be it plates, water, spoons, salad and pickles. After ordering the food, we waited for 25 minutes but the starters was missing. When asked for it, the waiter said i forgot. Pathetic service.

We came here twice for dinner and they do have some good food dishes here. It isn't a particularly busy spot in Ooty because the restaurant is quite big but there aren't many diners. They have a fireplace towards one side of the restaurant and there's a good amount of staff present. Some of our table got some Indian dishes and others got the Chinese style food. I got the vegetable Hakka noodles are they were cooked nicely.

First of all I really liked their hospitality and the quality of the food being served. The thing which I didn't like was the pricing. It was too overpriced. Means a lot overpriced. One Punjabi meals was costing 475₹. A pineapple juice was costing 200₹. It was not double, but more than triple the average pricing of each dishes. I would request the restaurant management to reconsider the pricing. All the dishes we have ordered was really good.

Very worst hotel I have ever seen. Please don't visit this place. Waiters have lots of attitude and arrogance. The one with no hair on his head was behaving very rude. No ethics how to behave with a customer. That waiter should be fired!! I guess only because of that waiter people are not liking the hotel. If he is removed at least the hotel will run nicely!.The waiters of that hotel thinks they are superior and they are serving us in such a way that we are eating free of cost. Please avoid visiting this place. Very poor service. Also found cockroach in the dish. Lack of hygiene.
