Awesome, must visit place in the summer If you’re going with your car they you’ve to be a expert driver because driving in Ooty is very difficult job as it’s roads are covered by lot of hair pin covers . By the way rose garden is not of worth of visit . If you go boating then don’t touch the water there because it is fully poisoned .

It's our first trip to Ooty. though it is was more cold here. You are still going to enjoy here. Some of the pictures captured are mentioned below try to have a look. Ooty gardens, tea plantations, chocolate are more famous. Shooting point, is more crowdy.

Over rated. Those driving with non TN number plates and having a non TN issued Driving licence, be aware that you cant take the car from ooty to mysuru thru masinagudi section. And the police wont explain which alternative route you can take. I don't even know if the rule violates ministry of road transport rules. They really don't care for travellers at all.

Ooty is one of the most popular touristic place in India. Perfectly situated hill station with so many residents and accommodations for tourists and nature lovers, Ooty remains cool during the entire year and sustains its beauty eternally. The roads leading up the hill is adventurous and finally reaching the top there'll be many more to do and to explore. There are many rare kinds of birds, animals, flowers, etc. to explore and other entertaining activities too. Highly recommend to explore this heaven.

Nestled in the Nilgiri Hills, Ooty is renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty, pleasant climate, and colonial charm. Here's a simple review of Ooty tourism. One of the standout features of Ooty is its lush green landscapes, encompassing rolling hills, sprawling tea plantations, and dense forests. The pleasant climate, with cool temperatures year-round, makes it an ideal escape from the scorching heat of the plains. Ooty is a nice place to enjoy for honeymoon couples. I went to Ooty in the month of September. Eventhough the time is rainy season, fortunately my trip went without any rain. We get down at Mettupalayam from Chennai by Nilgiri Express. From there we got a steam train, which went through so many beatiful natural scenes, whhcih can't forget in my life time. That much greenary it is because of rainy season. So many Waterfalls on the way. The train will stop in some stations in between to enjoy the nature. Every one can get down and have a nice breeze near by waterfalls. Finally we arrived in Ooty by that steam train. After that we have reached a Form House Inside in the outskirts i.e. inside the Nilgiri Hills. Where they are providing Accommadation with food and also transportation for trips nearby. First time i experienced the snow fall inside that hills which i never seen before. Ofcourse until 9 o'clock we can't come out of the room because of cold. After that around 11, we have started and visited near by beatiful and natural forests where u only be there.

Ooty, known for its pleasant climate and beautiful landscape, is a popular destination for honeymooners.  This beautiful place was described by PanditJawaharLal Nehru as the “Queen of Hill Stations" and truly it deserves this name. ‘Ooty’(the shortened form of Ootacamund) is the capital of the Nilgiris district. The name ‘Nilgiris’ means "Blue Mountains” and this name comes from the eucalyptus trees growing here that give the mountains a blue tint. ”. This city welcomes you with the aroma of eucalyptus filled in the air. Ooty is situated at an altitude of 2, 240 meters above sea level. As you reach Ooty, you will feel the climate change and your lungs will feel the fresh air. This was a popular summer retreat of British during the colonial days. Though this place is commercialized now, you can still feel the chilled climate in this hill station and also enjoy the scenery of tea plantations spread across many acres. Other attractions of the city are the Summer Flower Festival held at the Botanical Garden and Tea and Tourism festival.  Make sure to add this to your itenarary when you visit. Places to visit Doddabetta Peak: As already mentioned, Ooty is surrounded by thick Nilgiri forest. To get a better picture of this, you need to go to the highest mountain peak of nilgiri – ‘Doddabetta’(meaning: Big mountain). This is at an altitude of 8652 feet. When you reach this place, you will be mesmerized by the view of the Nilgiri hills. It will be great if you happen to be here during sunrise or sunset. Botanical gardens: Ooty Botanical Garden was built in 1847 Coimbatore district collector, John Sullivan. This beautiful and well maintained garden has different species of flowers to offer you. You need a lot of energy to go around this 50 acres garden or else you can just relax on the vast green lawn. Lake: The song form Maine Pyar Kiya ‘‘Dil diwana. bin sajna’’ made the artificial ‘Ooty lake’ as the honeymooners favorite spot. Experience this romantic boat ride in amidst cool breezes and a beautiful landscape. Connor If you think Ooty is beautiful, then you will have to visit Conoor to experience more. Conoor is about 19 kms from Ooty and this is a place to visit because of its picture perfect scenery. The best way to enjoy the beauty of the beautiful valley is to travel through the toy train from Ooty to Conoor. You will be spell bound by the view that unfolds during this journey. But remember to book your ticket in advance if you want to avoid standing in a long queue. Dolphin’s nose This is a peak that resembles a Dolphins nose, and is another view point in ooty. Thick fog blocked the view for us, so just came back seeing the thick fog covered all over the place. SIMS Park: Another park with lovely landscape. A walk around this park holding your partners hand will make this trip a memorable one. Tea Factory: Visiting High Field tea factory will give you gyaan of how the green tea leaves turn into the dark brown tea powder. The Step-by-step explanation is worth listening. Click a snap of yours in the vast spread tea plantation for your memory of ooty. Tea and coffee: Ooty is surrounded by tea plantation. For tea lovers you have a variety of flavors like lemon, masala, clove, cinnamon, classic leaf etc. Try out the chocolate and masala tea, they are awesome.(at high field tea estate). Chocolates: Another attraction of ooty is the home made chocolates.  You will love the taste. You get these yummy chocolates in different flavors like Fruit n nut, rum n raisin, cashew. You can buy these from Temptation. Oil: Nilgiri hills is home for many herbal and medicinal trees. ·         eucalyptus oil – for cold ·         camphor oil – for pain relief You can shop for these at horticultural shops and government vending points at Botanical gardens. Woolen clothes: Ooty is a place to visit in all the seasons, but it can get chilly for people not used to the cold weather. Others: ·         Ooty apples ·         Carrots ·         Strawberries

The main attraction of the place is the weather in that area. Most of the Times its go below five degree Celsius. And the major next attraction of ooty is that the gardens and the flower shows, I really like the park in ooty most of them have a beautiful green garden and a lot of varieties of followers collection. If you want to spend some good time with your family and friends I definitely suggest you this place, its really a great choice for your vacations also it does not cost that much money. Most of the hotels in ooty are so cheap so you don’t need that much money to have a great vacation in ooty.

Came here at the end of August, so it was a bit more rushed than the normal off-season, due to Onam. Stayed for 1 day and 2 nights and had a car with me and family, so we had the luxury to explore all the things we could and want in our own time. You can find plenty of recommendations online, so I am not gonna repeat them again, but you can visit most of the popular choices in 1 day, if you plan accordingly. (Friendly reminder - carefully while visiting 'Benchmark Tea and Chocolate Factory'. The amount of money you can potentially spend there is kinda absurd!!)
