The pine forest in Ooty offers a truly enchanting experience. This captivating location is adorned with a dense population of majestic pine trees that create a serene and picturesque atmosphere. What further enhances the allure of this place is the presence of a pristine lake nestled beside the forest. The juxtaposition of the lush greenery and the tranquil waters makes for a breathtaking and soothing view. Visiting this natural wonderland comes at an affordable cost, with an admission ticket priced at just 20 rupees. However, there's one thing to be mindful of when exploring this beautiful landscape - the presence of playful and mischievous monkeys. These little rascals are a common sight in the area, adding a touch of wildlife charm to the experience. So, while you immerse yourself in the beauty of the pine forest and its serene surroundings, keep an eye out for these curious creatures who might be eager to steal a snack or two!

A calm and beautiful place. It’s a nice place to visit. Tickets are available outside. Parking car is bit difficult but manageable. There is a lake at the end of the forest. The ticket costs 20 each. You can spend an hour at the place. The forest is just next to the road.

According to me this place is little overrated. Other than the pine trees there is nothing more. And this kind of places are very much in number on the way. Some one can stop at these places and enjoy the same there is no need to spend 40 rs for the same experience. That to if you are paying a fee then also you expect the place to be clean and maintained properly which i could not find here. It is okay if you skip this place.. I won't categories this in a must visit place.

The pine forest and the lake is absolutely stunning. Lake view is worth the time. Pine forest is the major attraction in the Ooty. The climbing is bit rough as no staircase is given. The pine forest streches on large acres so it seems like never ending. Even though the main area near the entrance seems a bit crowded as you walk straight by the side of the lake you will reach really peaceful and even more beautiful landscapes. The cold wind as we stand beside the lake just seeps into and is a really great feeling. Great space for photo shoot and wedding photography . There's a lake inside which is quite beautiful but that too is polluted by tourists plastic garbage. Horse ride is available here for 100₹ The entry fee is 30₹ The picturesque location has so much to offer for tourists of all ages, and one of the magical wonders is its scenic canvas of tall and magnificent trees. It is a famous shooting spot in Ooty. The soaring pines, breathtaking views, and a pleasant atmosphere make it a perfect base for filming various movies. Very nice and calm place. You can hear the sound of birds.

Need to climb down to reach the lake, this place is bit slippery and good to be maintained well and provide staircase path to climb down safely. Good to enjoy both forest and lake together but need to be maintained well for tourist attraction.

The Pine Forest is not a place with scenic views but is also perfect for long walks and unwinding. Spending some relaxing moments in the natural surroundings amongst the beautiful trees around is a charm and worth it. The Pine Forest has become one of the most famous sightseeing attractions due to the enjoyable atmosphere around. One can opt for horse riding, nature walks or taking photographs. An exciting camping experience can be looked forward to at the forests after you obtain permission from the local authorities about the same. Therefore, in case you wish to break away from your daily routine and relax for a while, this is the place to be. The forest remains well-connected by roads from Kodaikanal. One can easily hire a cab or drive a private vehicle to reach the place. The best way of reaching the Pine Forests is asking the locals for directions. You can also inquire at the reception desk of the hotel you're staying at, and they will tell you the exact route to follow.

Best view if you love forests. If you walk down you will get a lake view point. You can't go too far as the area is restricted. On the left side you can still go. A horse ride is also available on that side. You need to buy tickets. A long queue was there to buy tickets. You need to be careful in the forest as many monkeys are around. Can snatch your valuable things. Nice seats are made where you can sit and take photos. It was a little slippery while walking down so you need to choose proper shoes.

One of the beautiful spot to visit when you come to Ooty. Pine forest is the place where you can witness trees of great height. Also it has beautiful lake which increases the beauty of this place. This Place is filled with monkeys generally tourists give them something to eat and all. But this habit has made them so aggressive that they tend to snatch the food from your hand along with any other items. Place is really photoholic and all tourist visit to witness the great heightened trees and to click the pics with it. Entry fees: Before entering into this place there is entry pass which costs 30 rupees for one person and if you want to carry a camera then addition 30 rupees pass you have to take. Parking : Parking is quite difficult here as this place is situated in hill and Ghats but still tourist park there car, bike at the side of road only.

Great but small pine tree Forrest attached to a lake. Beware of the red face monkeys. They are everywhere and know exactly where to look in your bags and pockets. The Forrest itself is a bit small, very crowded. 30rs a head; 60rs for still Camara. It's clean. And with effort you'll get a good shot. Lake on the background is accessible from the top and gives a beautiful view. Definitely worth a small stop over.

This forest is a great place to go for a walk. The trees are tall and the air is fresh. The lake view is stunning. It's worth the 10-minute walk to get there. Be sure to wear shoes when you visit. The ground can be uneven. I visited during monsoon so the path was bit slippery and wet.
