Nice place. Beautiful Nature. Between the mountains. Largest lake in Nainital district. The lake provides drinking water supply and supports aquaculture with variety of fish species. There is an island at the centre of the lake which has been developed as a tourist attraction and has an aquarium. According to geologists the origin of the lake is attributed to a number of faults which occurred due to shifting of the earth's crust. This caused blockade of the overland flows and resulted in creation of the lake. A peripheral road on the banks of the lake provides clear views of fish life in the lake.

Bheemtal is not crowded place like nainital a peaceful place

Beautiful and serene place. Excellent connectivity from nainital and haldwani.

A calm place with lakeside, hotels and restaurants. However, the place is less spacious and could be crowdy on weekends and holidays. So, parking mania could happen. Otherwise, a good one for a pleasant evening.
