This hospital is one of the very few places in our country where one can get the absolute best treatment at a very moderate cost. I was admitted here with severe breathing trouble due to Covid 19 infection. There was a stage where I was unsure if I will survive. However, the treatment I received here is amazing to say the least. I owe my life to the doctors, nurses and staff who have worked tirelessly to nurse me back to health. The staff and doctors are absolutely humble and are honestly committed to heal their patients. I have been to other hospitals and nowhere else have I seen the commitment and honesty that the staff and doctors have here in Calcutta Heart Clinic. Their treatment protocol, caring attitude, behaviour, cleanliness, food and their dedication to the needs of the patient is absolutely legendary and heart-warming. A big thumbs up and my very best wishes to everyone related to this hospital.

One of the worst hospital I have ever come across. I went to the emergency section with mild chest pain. The doctor diagnoses me and gave me medicine of insomnia instead of chest pain. I really wonder from where these doctors have been hired to treat their patients in this manner. I am sure they are not potential enough to treat their patients. Guys, just avoid this hospital in future and do not seek their medication.They are basically nerds of the society! Thank you!

Admitted my mother in ICU here. She was admitted for 5 days. Dr. Haq and the whole team of nurses and attendants took care of her like a family member. She was not left unattended even for a second. Recently I was admitted to Calcutta Heart Clinic and Hospital for having malignant malaria. I was bit scare about me cous I have hard that many people even die for this. It was around 10.30 on Tuesday (19/07/2022) when I get there I was immediately taken to the OPD, and after some examination I was taken to the Bed, the process was smooth and short. Since it was late in the night I was thinking that the treatment will start from the next morning, but to my utter surprise the Doc. appear on that very day at about 12 in the night and the treatment was started at once. For next few days the doctors, nurses and all other staff work relentlessly and now I am home fit satisfied Happy. I must thank Calcutta Heart Clinic ,Dr. Biplab Chandra and his entire team .

First thing i should say about the behavior of every staff of this hospital. They were polite, soft spoken and always ready to help everybody. Doctors are very helpful. They friendly approach satisfies us very much. They have never charged exorbitantly. Overall no corporate atmosphere has been noticed here. We should say that all other hospitals should follow their steps.

CHCH is very professional at their duties, staffs are very cooperative and kind. Also, being a part of their patient I found the OPD system is very smooth and marvellous. Prestigious feeling will give you a good vibes from Doctors/RMOs and Nursing staffs. They are very fond, kind and mindful to take care of their patients. I was admitted since 15th July 2022 to 18th July 2022. I never feel I was in hospital and the ambience was made me feel like home. I personally like following things of Calcutta Heart Clinic: 1. Behaviour of every staff 2. Explanatory advises of Doctors (Dr. Biplab Chandra, Dr. Nilratan Naiya, Dr. D Ghosh, Dr. Supratim and so on) 3. Neat & clean atmosphere 4. Faster TPA Processing (Hassle for Single person who would admitting by their own as patient) 5. Transparency on treatment 6. Cheaper than other private institutions 7. Experience of handling crucial situations Though all cannot be good for anyone; there might some disadvantages as well: 1. UPI Transactions are not present during payment 2. TPA SPOC is not very helpful for explaining any kind of deduction or processing 3. MRI/CT Coronary Angio kind off test facilities are not available 4. Beds of ITU/CCU/ICU/ITTU are very limited 5. Phone is not allowed to the patient if they are in Personal Cabin too 6. If Patient is in Private Cabin then also Patient family can meet him/her on a specific time 7. After admitting they are not providing any proof or visiting card on a name of patient with bed number to the admitting personal; that will keep at Security's desk which cannot be handover to the family even they are on meeting time. 8. Some security staffs are not aligned with the business process of CHCH(Example: I have been asked why I have not taken the permission from Guard to going TPA, where that is extremely necessary for payment; such condition and questioning is very idiotic as all are about money)

It's a non-government model hospital which renders dedicated services to the patients at bare minimum charges on virtually no-profit concept. It seems, such a spirit/ moto of the hospital could not sustain unless the functioning of the management of this hospital as also motive of its doctors/ nurses & other staff is backed by high ethical values. In true sense Calcutta Heart Clinic is contributing a lot to the society, for which we are thankful.

I have mixed feelings about this hospital, hence giving it 3 stars. I have not compared the rates to other hospitals but they seem to be cheap. However each time I admitted my 80 year old mother for orthopedic issues, the bill came to excess of 1.5 lakhs with the average stay exceeding a week. First time she was admitted with a shoulder dislocation , but they treated for lung infection as well. Next time she was admitted for a leg fracture, but she apparently suffered a cardiac arrest. Now she is in hospital for low sodium , they are treating her for something else (pulmonary embolism). I do not understand if they are telling me the truth or is she contracting diseases from this hospital ? Or is it to increase the billing ? It is very difficult to get the exact nature of the disease as communication is a very big problem. The patient will be ferried from one ward to another and passes through different doctors who say different things every day. Yesterday I was told that she would be discharged and today another doctor tells me that her condition is critical and some more tests are required. My mother is fed up and wants to go home and die in peace. I would prefer the doctors to be consistent with their statements and tell me the problem upfront. In 1 week , my mother has been ferried from CCU to ITU to General Ward, back to CCU and today I find her in ITU. God knows where she will end up next ? Each time the doctor changes and different versions are told. Who it telling the truth ? Will I ever get to know ? The doctors meet is from 1-3, depending on the number of patients and your luck.This is not a very convenient time.

I admitted here for 2 times before and after corona.The hospital is so neat and clean... hospital staffs are very helpfull. Doctors are really good...I was admitted under Dr. Nisith Karmakar (surgeon) and Dr. Atanu jana (Urologist) both are tremendously good. I must say about nurse and Aya didi..they are extremely caring, helpful and very humble in nature. One thing the hospital charges are very reasonable than other hospitals in saltlake and other areas.

My journey started to Calcutta Heart Clinic in the year 2010, when I was 2nd year MBBS student. I was suffering from Hepatitis A and admitted here with persistent vomiting and abdominal discomfort, clay colour stool and Jaundice. I couldn't eat drink properly. But the care of Nurses, attendant and Doctors were so huge, that I improved significantly. The nurse and others were so caring which I can't forget lifelong. And again I was admitted in ICU in the year 2012 with cerebral Malaria and was comatose for 36hrs. Thankfully I improved and saved by the saviours. Then I decided that I will join this hospital after passing my MBBS exam. And I joined here as doctor on 2015 & continuing my service. This was my journey.

It is a pleasant experience to be treated here. Although I got treatment from emergency only but my family members are treated here due to various health issues. Staffs are very helpful here. It is really a home away home for ailing people. High quality treatment with very affordable cost. In Sally lake, you can't expect such treatment in this cost. Investigations are also cheaper than any other nearby labs. Highly recommended.

This place is not just a hospital providing health care . It is an unique hospital full of surprises, for example its name gives the impression of a place which might deal with cardiac patients only but in reality it is a state of the art multi-speciality hospital . Extremely disappointed with the standard of treatment in this hospital. Firstly the statements of the doctors were extremely contradictory. Initially we were explained about the procedure of the treatment which was quite convincing but later on the treatment didn't proceed in the way we were initially told. The first doctor, Dr. Chandan Kumar Shith whom we met said that bone marrow test wasn't required but a test called PET CT scan would be done to detect the cause of infection. Three to four days passed but no test was done. Finally in Doctor's meet , when we asked again that when will the PET- CT scan be done , the doctor said that PET - CT won't be done instead bone marrow test might be required. We were totally puzzled by the remarks of those two doctors. Finally in the doctor's meet just before the day of discharge,we met Dr. Nilratan Naiya. Already 7 days were over but the cause of infection which caused the prolonged fever and the sudden fall in WBC count to 1300 was undiagnosed. I asked him, "Doctor, where is the infection in my mother's body?" to which he replied nonchalantly that they were still in the dark,the cause being undiagnosed. This angered me like anything,how could he talk so casually was completely beyond my understanding. Then asked him "This means you could diagnose nothing , isn't it ? Seven days is quite a lot of time to diagnose the cause. This made him bubble with rage and he started shouting and behaving rudely. His answer should have been a simple "no". Then somehow we got to know from him PET CT is not done in this hospital. Just imagine! Such an important piece of information was not given to us earlier. We didn't expect such rudeness and arrogance from any senior doctor. Secondly the Residential RMO Dr. Debarati Biswas's behaviour was extremely annoying. Absolutely mannerless. Thirdly,the nurses should be much more compassionate and empathetic towards the patient. Except two nurses in CCU whose names I don't know, others in the ITU and ICU ward were least bothered about the discomforts of the patient. They didn't even bother to insert the saline lock properly and as a result it started to disfunction and there was a lot of blood loss. The saline lock had to be inserted five or six times due to their inefficiency and the sufferer was my mother. One expects a little bit of care and compassion from them not this type of recklessness. Fourthly, the food served was substandard in both quality and taste. When they're charging so much money, they shouldn't at least compromise on the quality of food. Next , the hospital is highly expensive. The bed charges are extremely high. Last but not the least, there's no waiting arrangement for the family members of the patient. They can arrange for a few plastic chairs. This simple step can solve the problem but they're least bothered. Highly disheartened. I hope that the concerned authorities will take this matter seriously and will work hard to minimise their drawbacks and inefficiencies.

Absolutely horrible hospital. Doesn’t inform the patient’s family of patient’s progress. We wanted to transfer the patient, but the hospital was not ready to handover the reports. In a span of 1 week, no reports of tests or prescriptions were provided. Patient’s health deteriorated while in this hospital and had to be put on oxygen support. Absolutely horrible treatment. Won’t recommend at all. Better go to any other hospital.

The service is good and even the doctors. Unfortunately the nurses were not professional. They didn’t clean the patient’s stool and urinal which lead to a series of infection specially a huge boil in the rectum. They should work on improving their service. Even the evening nurses speaks and fight with the ayahs and disturbs the environment.

My recent experience has been very very good. Admitted my 79 year old mother in law on 2nd Feb,22 in an emergency medical situation in early morning. Starting from prompt ambulance pick up to admission and subsequent inpatient care has been exemplary. Critical care team took great care & stabilized her quickly. Expenses have been reasonable rather non commercial whereas facilities are at per with any branded facility in the city. I am personally thankful to Dr. Biplab Chandra & his team.

This is a great hospital when you go there as an OPD patient. But their billing is extremely translucent and very very expensive if you enter as an inpatient. They will charge you close to 75-80% of high profile corporate hospitals of the city after providing below avarage standard of treatment. Beware of this if you don't have insurance. If you have, then they will try to eat away everything from the policy.

Such a disastrous condition of the organisation! It's more like a bird-catching station rather than a hospital..not having a facility for basic procedures like Angiography though they claim themselves as a leading heart research clinic..They are in a outsourcing kind of business where they refer patients to Apollo Gleanegles for surgical procedures. Not at all recommended for admission of critical heart patients.

Very good and satisfactory service. All types of pathological examination are available here. And also if any Doctor consultant should be needed they should do that. They try to do what is the best for patients. Doctor, nurse and all stuffs be haved in polite manner and cooperative. Besides these the paid amount is cheaper than many Nursing homes. Doctors are available most of the time. I think every patient should need this type of environment to get well soon.

I recently visited the OPD and had a very negative experience due to the lack of sound for announcements and doctors not being punctual. It was extremely confusing as I was unable to hear any announcement at all. I had to wait for more than two hours from my given appointment time, which was very frustrating. This lack of sound for announcements and doctors not being punctual are serious issues that need to be addressed immediately. It can be stressful for patients who are already dealing with health issues. I would strongly urge Calcutta Heart Clinic to take steps to ensure that their communication systems are functioning properly, doctors are punctual, and appointments are managed efficiently. This will not only help me but also other patients who may be facing similar issues.

This is a very nice hospital. Both medical and nonmedical staffs are very co-operative. Every day Doctor meets with the patients relative and explains everything about the patients status and the way they opt for treatment. Very neat and clean hospital.

I have visited this hospital many times due to my uncle's illness. He was admitted four times in the last five months. Due to his illness, i have visited almost all the wards like CCU, HDU 1&2 and general ward. Thus, I am writing this review after a good experience at this Hospital. The salient services worth mentioning are as follows:- 1. Doctors - The doctors of this hospital are very experienced and hands on persons. They explain the process in a very deliberate manner to the patient as well as family members. They don't keep the patients admitted to generate money for hospital like many private hospitals and nursing homes in WB. The follow up process after admission is also very professional. 2. Nursing staff - The staff are very helpful and empathetic. They took proper care of my uncle. They take extra pain to explain the post discharge care to be taken of the patient. 3. Administrative staff - The administrative staff are very cooperative and ever attentive to the patients. The stretchers bearers and wheel chair handlers are always on the ball. They take extreme care of the patients when they are moved to one place to another. The process of visiting hours are strictly regulated. In case of emergency requirements to meet the patients are also catered for as much as possible. 4. Hygiene and cleanliness - The hygiene and cleanliness is maintained round the clock. 5. OPD - The OPD patients are managed really well. 6. Billing - The charges of treatment are reasonable and all records are very well kept. 7. TPA - The TPA staff are efficient and very courteous. They explain the process clearly and settle the bills in a time-bound manner. Overall an excellent hospital for health care

The very foundation of this hospital was very noble. CPIM backed the hospital back then, when there, probably, was no other treatment centre, especially for the middle-class Bengalis in Salt Lake. Till today, It provides an emergency doctor checkup for ₹20.

I'm a 72 years old man have been suffering from asthma (ABPA) for the last 37 years. My disease often force me to take admission in the nursing home throughout my life even outside Bengal also. One thing I observed CHC&H is quite different from others. Take proper care &all are well behaved. Moreover the cost of different test like blood X-ray CT scan etc. much less in comparison with others. To tell the truth it is nice in all respect

Recently l have done an xray from heart clinic. After delivery my bad luck that it got lost in the bus while returning home. I went back to heart clinic for a chargeable duplicate copy of the report. My experience was pathetic and much below expectation. They told me to write an application. I did. They told me to wait and speak to floor manager. I waited for over an hour expecting that the work will be done. When floor manager came she told it will be done after 2 days. There is no doctor to sign on Sunday. Surprised to hear that. Hospital with 24×7 emergency with no doctor.The blood test and xrays done on Sundays in the hospital is delivered on the same day after 7 pm. Who sign them??? I went on Tuesday after 54 hours. Surprised again to hear that no body is aware and the work is not done and l had to explain them from the scratch once again and get it done. Also noticed earlier irrelevant tests prescribed for common cold and cough and fever. Those say very good service just want to remind them that it is not coming free. You have already paid for it and they are liable to give their best service. It is their job. God bless these hospitals with better mentality, less harrasment and speedy and better work culture. 🙏 Oh. They do not accept GPay carry loads of cash or debit/credit card for 5 star treatment.

My mother suddenly got admitted during Durga Puja and we had come from Assam for Puja holidays. I must say they treated my mother very well. The management is so smooth. You don't need to bother about anything. Even during Puja time, everyone was doing their duties perfectly without any problems. Service is swift and accurate. Dr Subhankar Chatterjee treated my mother, and even after going back to Assam we are taking consultations from him for my mother . My mother is also much better, thanks to their swift and efficient services.

Its moderate nurshing home now. I find many drawback now as my patient is admitted. It was very very good before 2019. I visited this place from 2014 for my parents. My parents admitted for different surgery 4 times and I was very very satisfied cheap and best treatment. From my last visit in 2019 its comes down a moderate nurshing home. This time my father was admitted and I found that it provide worst services and turnd like a commercial nursing home like Apollo, AMRI, Medica, R. N. Tegore etc. I compare rate for a orthopedic surgery and found similer to Kothary medical, Nightingale etc. Most drawback found very very poor management system and worthless internal communication. In patient party meet, RMO also have no idea regarding patient condition.

Very ill-mannered staffs. My father was admitted and was not given any regular medicines which he intakes daily. Management is not properly put together. Notice provided for visiting hours was incomplete and when asked for completion....it was hand written. Very dissapointed with treatment. Operation was postponed several times and patient was kept in a not so well ventilated room.

Doctors are really confused for their work. Please don't trust on them. They are just make you roaming their hospital for atleast 15 days.

Calcutta Heart Clinic & Hospital at Salt Lake is one of the best hospital. I was admitted there and undergone treatment of Covid 19 from 6th to 12th January 2021 under Dr. Anupam Bhattacharjee. The Doctors, Nurses and Sisters behaves as if my relatives. Food and cleanliness and charges are 100% perfect. I once again salute them.

My mother in law was admitted to Calcutta heart clinic after she suffered a cerebral stroke. The amazing doctors here worked relentlessly to bring her back. What I loved about the place was: 1. Care from top physicians. Dr Guha and Dr Chatterjee was a part of the care team that helped us. 2. After every visit in the critical care unit they sat with us to explain the development 3. In home visits after the stroke to help rehabilitation 4. From a price point this is affordable for middle class individuals. They differ a lot from the corporate healthcare provided by bigger chains and feel close to heart as well. Plus they have all the equipments there to do all kinds of test. Routine healthcare is important for individuals and I am proud that such a hospital is there near our house. My parents also have started visiting the OPD department here and are happy with the services. Way to go !

Horrible experience. If you call for an appointment, they will only give you other numbers to call. I was given 5 numbers before I could make an appointment. By the time I called 5th number, I realized the sucking Bengali hospital Administration - only talk and no work. So had to get the appointment in the clever manner. But these are shameless people with no self respect. They take pride in what they have not done rather than what they do

Dont know if the system has changed now ; but when at the beginning of COVID 19 Delta wave , both I and my mother were positive and went to the Hospital for admission ; the admission desk kept on insisting for a third family member. I and my mother are the only souls in our home , I being a bachelor. Bed situation was not a issue yet ; as it was just at the beginning of the Delta wave ; but the absence of another family member seemed to become a big issue; till one of our known Doctor friends intervened to settle the issue . The second shocker was the absence of any kind of locker room ; hence all our medical files, government documents , some cash ; found refuge right inside the ICCU. The attending doctors were attentive and kind of empathetic ; but the quality of the nurses left a lot to be desired. I do concur with some of the other reviewers that a whole lot of the nurses get busy in chitchatting among themselves; even during duty hours. If one is going for OPD consultations; one needs to keep a lot of buffer time in hand ; as frequently the doctors will come late.

Very decent place. I got my hernia operated under Dr N C Karmakar on 15th June. Both doctors and nursing staffs are good. One can expect good treatment at a very affordable price. Regards.

Doctors and nurses are extremely dedicated and very helpful too. Personally speaking, Dr. Kabiul Haque , Dr. Biplab Chandra are renowned medical specialists and offer exceptional medical treatment and guidance for the patients.

Very bad experience in reception area, people full of half knowledge in reception area misguiding patients with full of confidence and arrogance after making them wait for a long time in the queue. There is no coordination in departments with the reception area and they sent patient with bronchoscopy test to CT scan department and they were clueless about the basic knowledge required to handle a reception area in a health clinic. Billing time per patient is more than 12-15 mins which is again a unprofessionalism and lack of proficiency found in reception area. Though we are satisfied with the doctor but horrible experience in reception area in main building.

I had a great experience. My dad was admitted to this hospital for more than two weeks and his condition was really critical. The way the doctors and the support staff worked together during this difficult time and helped my dad to recover , ‘a big thank you’ or ‘appreciate the efforts’ may not be enough to describe it. I was very happy with the overall service and we got the best service with a reasonable cost (not expensive at all). The doctors are super helpful and very professional. I would highly recommend this hospital. I wanted to thank all the doctors and support staff for saving my dad’s life. I truly appreciate it.

Very bad experience. My daughter had an accident and she went to the emergency and took Tetanus. But the nurse gave the injection into a nerve and now the injected area is red, hot and swollen. And when I consulted other doctor , he said that the injection which was given to my daughter was the most useless Tetanus. And now my daughter is suffering for 2 days. This incident occured on 13/1/2024.
