Every private hospital is running business & everyone knows that. But, Desun is far more than that, The Worst ! they are nothing but a thief. They billed for the equipment that was never used in treatment, Doctors there are below average. No communication, Zero rating for professional behaviour. Wearing a fancy suit doesn't make a staff professional. when they dispatched my father, they even took the slippers they provided. My father had to walk barefoot. I will never forget the insult, Desun. Time will come, A lesson is waiting for you.

First of all I went to Desun with the hope for getting good treatment but what I have found is "Worst registration service I have ever seen in my entire life!" There are 7 counters but you will find only one(1) registration counter is working at peak hour. I took token at 10.30am and get called at 11.45am! which is utterly shocking. Except one kind lady staff at registration area rest all were having behavioral problems. Remember we went there for getting treatment after spending huge money. Your hospital doesn't gives us FREE treatment There are some boys(in light pink shirts) who are working like any road side bar's bouncers, are always misbehaving with every patient just by asking them to move rudely. specially a boy with short hight, curly hair and full of beard. Desun authority must look after this issue otherwise believe me patient flow will go down as there are so many private hospitals within the range of 5km who are extremely professional and know how to take care of patient and their family. Educate your staff specially Registration department at ground floor and those rude boys( in pink shirts) who are just behaving rudely with patients and their relatives, because we went there for treatment not for shopping!!

Average Multispeciality Hospital with a small lobby and without functional airconditioning. Only two stand fans are placed in the hot visitors' area. Only 1 lift operates during the crowded visiting hours. Central AC does not operate. Reception not particularly helpful.

Extremely poor management. Getting through and taking doc appointment takes forever. You don’t get a confirmation message or a call. Reception staff’s behaviour is very bad, they don’t pay attention to work or patients. Doc experience is good however rest of the parameters need a lot of improvement. Fancy style hospital interior won’t help if management so so poor. I wonder what will people do in case of emergency!!! Hope this is heard and worked upon

DESUN is located near rubi. Overall good hospital. I have 7 day experience. They admitted my parents and take 24hrs all treatment without disposing any amount this is a good thing I found here only. Emergency facilities available but surgeons are not available in Sunday. Nearby rooms available for patient attenders

The worst ENT. The doctors seem to be a trained quake and prescribe same medicine to all patients irrespective of the disease that too of very high power. Never ever go for ENT else you will end as a mental patient. It doesn't deserve even a single star.

Their management skill is very good. One of the best home to heart department. They have Sanjay Kumar Patra one of the best if not the best Cardiologist in Kolkata. They have operated my father and I'm happy with their service but only one thing that is service is getting costlier day by day. Canteen facility is available and food quality is good and they have token system.

Well, one of the well known hospital names in Kolkata Desun is currently running on a single lift/ elevator support for the past 4 days since I have visited. The patients, visitors, staffs, all travel by the same lift and is overcrowded with people. The management does not bother about covid 19 when it comes to 10-12 people bulging into each other to take the lift. All they say is the Lift is being repaired. Power cuts keeps happening every now & then. Very poor service when it comes to getting reports of your patients, they will make you go round & round. Some of the staffs of the hospitality section are really rude & does-not bother to respect the visitors. Overall, not a good experience with my visit for the last 3-4 days.

very poor customer service here. They are not transparent in terms of patients status and medical services they are providing. As a patient party we are facing issue. RMO behaviour is very casual and not professional at all. Why should we keep our patients here spending too much of money? In compare to other hospitals they are way behind the line where as interns of cost figure they are way beyond. Security staff behaviour is extremely bad, the treat patient party as criminal. They should understand the anxiety of a family member of a patient.

The WORST hospital I have ever Seen. We admitted one of our relative as he was feeling little sick. The patient could walk comfortably to the hospital. After admission, all basic tests were done and reports were all ok. One RMO told me that this patient need not be admitted to the hospital. He is ok. This is due to his age issues. For this sort of issues, do not admit him henceforth and don't take him to hospital for these symptoms. Treat at home, it's good for him. Then I asked him whether we can get him released that day as there were no issues at all. The RMO told me... " Do you have Insurance?" I said "Yes". He said " No chance of releasing so soon. You just got admitted today morning. At least six seven days .... Before that no chance..." He said all these with a mischievous smile. I was stunned. Thereafter next two days several tests were conducted and every single day some or the other tests are allotted. When I told the sisters why they were holding the patient unnecessarily and not releasing him... They asked me to talk to the doctor. At the first instance the doctor said (without checking any details) " we can't release the patient before Monday (4more days)"... And thereafter suddenly the patient started behaving differently since the same day evening. The patient started talking all by himself and was talking out of the way and all odd things... Behaving absolutely like mad person. The patient told us that he was given many injections and they were scolding him... and he wish to return to home. That's quite normal for any patient. We got afraid and spoken to the doctor. The doctor said the patient's brain is confused and he is unable to judge things properly. Suddenly such a change, we were really worried... 2more days like this. The patient was getting worser and more annoying, he was shouting and talking like mad person. Somehow we thought there must be some problem somewhere. We took decision of releasing the patient from the hospital and take him back to home. The hospital asked us to sign a bond for releasing the patient. We agreed. They forced us to sign the bond on a blank paper without any details entered in it. They said that's their process. Once we sign that we are releasing the patient on our sole responsibility and we didn't have any grudge against the hospital, thereafter only they will release. Somehow we followed their illegal process of signing the blank bond. Everyone handing our file were annoyed and behaved very badly for releasing the patient. Anyway we got him released. We were worried as the patient suddenly started behaving abnormally since last 2days... BUT after we got him transferred to his home, he is ABSOLUTELY NORMAL LIKE BEFORE. We got to know from him that he was given many injections during his stay at the hospital, BUT SURPRISINGLY There is NO SUCH THINGS MENTIONED IN THE HOSPITAL FILE. No Injections are mentioned in file, which was handed to us at the time of release, but he has multiple Injection marks in his hands. This is really so weird. THE WORST AND MOST WEIRD HOSPITAL I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE. Be careful About Your patient before admission. Be careful about the treatment. STRONGLY NOT RECOMMENDED!!

My mother was admitted in the hospital. The hospital is not up to the mark. Previously my mother was in kothari b.p poddar hospital. Their hospitality cannot be compared especially kothari medical Centre. Their caring is the best i have seen and my mother has received. In desun the here is least minimum " care "to my mother. Her bed sore was almost dry but here her bed sore was increased to second level. Yesterday i have checked the bed sores air matress machines are also not working. Then i learnt the connections is loose for bed no 5056. No one such a trusted hospital ever thought of fixing the connection. Very very bad employee behaviour. My mother' eye was somehow got shocked due to some reason from desun. When we contacted the doctor. The doctor was shouting. Never in my life seen that a doctor is shouting. Worthless place. Staffs are not serious.they are very like hobe hoche. I thought that my mother will be fine but i made a mistake in bringing my mother here.

The worst hospital. Healthy patient will become sick if he is admitted in this hospital. It is easy to get bed but difficult to get discharged. Even if you are cured the will try to find out some problem of your health condition on doing unnecessary test at your cost and keep you in the hospital. Patient with minor problem will be sent to ICU. Stay away. Rating should be -ve.

Best hospital for heart related issues... My dad at 75 went through a bypass surgery now he is recovering and all feels good for him. I am emmensly satisfied with the post operative care and the doctors, nurse staff, the billing staff and ofcourse the admin all were great.

Recently I was admitted in this hospital for covid 19 treatment specifically on 3rd Sept, 2020. I received best of care from doctors and staff. I am specially thankful to Madhusree Biswas, who is working in this hospital as a front desk staff, for her care and assistance.I am also thankful to Dr. Rik Banerjee and Dr. Kunal Som for their timely life saving treatment. I received very kind help from Surajit for quick accurate billing.The hospital has good infrastructure and courteous staff. Nurshing service should be a bit more responsive. My bed no. was 4015 and I will remain thankful to this hospital for saving my life. I wish this hospital fame.

From my experience, not a good place to be recommended, rather scary in my opinion. ICU full of mosquitoes at night, pathetic food quality. In COVID season no clear separation in between positive and negative cases in staging area ICUs(seen Unit 3032 to Unit 3045). Price is very high and unjustifiable. Only motive appears to be extracting money from the people who are suffering. Have seen three people were dying in front of me in ICU when I was admitted. Patients became critically ill after admission and condition deteriorated without availability in time support. In many cases Ventilator support was not removed long time after death from the bodies. Heard unprofessional communications between PRO and RMOs during operational hours in ICU. Seen many staff nurses were sleeping in ICU without any care during night shift hours avoiding the basic decorum of their workspaces. I am not sure of their line of treatments but in my case I was utterly disappointed with the treatment from Dr Kharbanda and opted for DAMA( early self initiated discharge bond with surety), which took almost 7.5 hours to process after intimating them.

This hospital authorities are wholesome money eaters, in this phase of pandemic they are literally intentionally giving positive results for covid 19 test, my father was having slip disk and needed to have a surgery, he had to show his covid result in order to get surgery, even when he had no symptoms of covid 19, the hospital authorities gave him a positive result, we got suspicious and hence got another test within 24 hrs from a different institution and got a result a negative result for covid 19. When we complained about it they ignored our complain, they did on purpose just so that we admit him in the hospital, they are total money eaters, worst hospital in kolkata.

Hospital may be good but they people running it are the worst I have ever come across in my whole life. Extremely rude. On all three days that I went, there were quarrels n arguments all around between the staff n the dissatisfied patients/relatives. Doctors come at least an hour and half later than the appointment time given on phone. There is a monster masquerading as an anesthesiologist Mondal who is not fit to be a medical practitioner. I think he is paid to be rude. After seeing his rude behavior I changed hospital pronto. Go there only if you have a lot a time and money to spend and like to be treated like a third grade citizen. They also have a bias against CGHS beneficiaries. They need a revamp of their management then maybe it will be a better hospital

Not sure how this property having this much of ratings. It’s a property where if you admit someone for leg injury on the very next day they you will find your loved ones in ventilatore. And you will get to see some medical board they are arranging. These are the common practice of this property. Not sure these are treatment or marketing and sales departments they worked for. Bad experience if you are in hurry don't come here. Work culture is pathetic from staff not from doctor. Inshort pay big money for waiting inside the hospital. Ex ECG report took 4 hours is just an example. So think thrice before come here.

Among all the 5-6 counters, there was only 1 counter open though at the high peak rush time. The lady ask to wait at the line for OPD pathology test billing, but when our turn came she just ask to wait more as she wanted to listen to the old man who was waiting after us. Being a lady I also have some issues to wait though still we wait for our turn and if you want to prioritise old people first irrespective of line or wait then please open a counter differently for old-age or please treat equally to everyone. Everyone has their own needs and issues that's why they visit your hospital. Anyway we return without billing.. very unprofessional management.

Desun does not have adequate doctors to treat patients. It is my humble request to everyone .. please avoid this place. Patients who are in general ward do not get proper attention from the doctors. My father who was admitted to this hospital did not get the required attention from the doctors and eventually on the 8th day of December 2022 he took his last breath.

Room 6262: I have undergone my c-section delivery under best doctor Ayan Mukhopadhyay in Desun. We opted for private room and I must say they have treated me, my husband who stayed with me throughout my 5 days stay and all my visitors the best. Soumen our coordinator arranged the cleanest room. For all our need Soumen was just a call away.We are blessed to have chose doctor Ayan Mukhopadhyay who is best at his job.They gave complementary food for my husband. Starting from morning tea to dinner all food quality was top class. They have the bestest sister who took extreme care of me for which on 3rd of delivery I was able to stand on my own. Sisters helped me understand and repeatedly encouraged for breast feeding starting from 2nd day of delivery, as on first day they keep baby for observation in nicu and once they find baby is fit they shifted my baby with me on 2nd day. Having new born baby in the same room really helped me to build the mother connection. Doctor Arijita Chatterjee our baby's doctor always been so kind in explaining each and every issue. Later they kept my baby in nicu as his bilirubin was high. Basically all you need is to continuously cooperate with them, rest every details of patient health, baby health, my husband's meal they took care of. I am very much satisfied with the treatment from Desun and would recommend everyone to opt Desun and Ayan Mukhopadhyay for smooth pregnancy journey. Special mention for my sister Manjuri and Sabnam who not only cared but throughly helped me in practicing breastfeeding and giving emotional support to feel like new mother.

Dr Varun from emergency is not a doctor he is a street boy. Being a doctor how come he eat pan Masala all the time even at the time of checking patient. We came from bangladesh to do open heart surgery in here and we got extremely great service in here. We are very pleased at their service. All of the Department of DeSun hospital specifically GR-1 helped us to do it smoothly. I recommend others to come here and experience their services with an extreme lower price than other hospitals.

Very inefficient people working here. Each procedure takes extreme long time. My father is an ECHS beneficiary and for an Angioplasty procedure we had to run between Desun and ECHS clinic multiple times. They rejected even when the funds for Angioplasty were sanctioned by ECHS. Doctor behaviour is very rude. For one blockage in artery they are saying 2 stents will be required. I really doubt whether it is legit or it is just a business tactics to charge more and more. This hospital charges a lot but cleanliness is average. Bathroom is very dirty and stinking badly.

Contacted for bed for Covid patient. The WB healthportal showed available beds in DESUN. the administration refused to admit us and said that the beds were full the moment we said that we are under CGHS scheme.

Desun Hospital a perfect hospital for a proper treatment. Every one have their own experience sometimes good and sometimes bad. However I had the Good experience. The staffs a re all well behaved and takes care of the patients very well. They guide us on how to go on as smooth as possible so that we don't have any problems regarding tests and admissions. Overall I will recommend desun Hospital anytime.

We are extremely happy with the Doctors Staffs and specially with the patient coordinator Mr Chaudhuri. They work as a unit and totally focused towards patient’s well-being. The processes are totally transparent. Full marks on their service.

This hospital should remove "Rate bipadey bharsha Desun" as iit is misleading and potentially dangerous to emergency patients brought to this hospital at night. On 24th Oct 2019 they were unable to provide admission to a stroke patient whereby the patient was made to scurry the roads of Kolkats in search of proper hospital. This has resulted in multiple brain clots before being admitted at Medica at 1.30 AM. MY ABOVE REVIEW STANDS. Greatly saddened by the death of an elderly Covid patient in an ambulance waiting to be admitted in the hospital. As per TV news, the admission was stalled by this vulture hospital due to some technical delay in payment of an advance amount of Rs.3 lakhs at night time when certain banking services are closed. An amount of Rs.2.80 lakhs was paid but not a doctor or medical staff attended to the patient in the hospital. The police should take stern action against this vultire hospital for this horrible unmedical attitude. Meanwhile, I am sharing this episode in social media for people to avoid such vulture hospitals. This hospital has shamed the great city of Kolkata in these bad times. Shame on you Desun. You will face the consequences of your greed for money in lieu of medical services.

I came to Desun for Angiograph test at 10 in the morning for my father. From reception to testing, the help that we got from the team was very good after all the rush. The time taken for the tests was quick and the bill was also less then market. We appreciate the quality of service.

The reason we visit Desun’s OPD is that it is comparatively hassle-free. Even though reception area is crowded the registration process, check up, billing and receiving the prescription is easy. Thereafter they don't waste time don't keep us waiting like many others. The doctors behavior is also nice than others and so is the admin staff.

Their first priority is to take money in the reception after that admit will be processed. There are many cases in this hospital that patients died in the ambulance due to delay of 2 or more hours which is really inhumanity. One of my family member died here due to lack of treatment. This hospital can be say as one way because 70% of patients who are admitted here with some critical health issues are died in 1 day or in 10 days. The charges of all medical tests & operations are very costly. Visit here & have a experience.

Very poor service, I had admitted my father due to cardiac attack on 28th April, 2020 through emergency ward. There was huge delay in attending my father. They admitted him stating he needs to go through by pass surgery and suddenly 2nd day they asked me to take away my father and admit him as there premise will be taken by govt for Covid treatment. I agreed to that and for one day, they billed me 54 thousands. When I question them on the billing details, they refuse to give explanation.

And after that they inform me that my father need to admit in ICU.. they sent me to GR 2 department I visited but they denied to admit my father... In Dec 20, admitted my mother @ Desun for Covid 19 treatment. Level of care, support and transparency provided by Hospital was unparalleled. Dr Sibaji Phoujdar was a gem of a doctor and person whose treatment and medical guidance helped us to overcome all odds (lots of co morbidity challenges). Thanks team Desun.

An experience of excellent customer service and patient friendly behaviour. Today, when hospitals do not move an inch towards treatment without payment, Desun Hospital has shown the sign of true professionalism of the Hospitality industry. They have taken admission for a serious surgery of implanting pacemaker for a 70 years old patient just on the basis of a cheque (no surety of funds as it was a long weekend followed by Saraswati Puja and Banks were closed). Despite cheque didn't clear on time due to signature mismatch, they went ahead with surgery without a single paisa deposit. All care, nurture of patient and timely video calls with patient party and every possible way of co-operation. Really overwhelmed with the services. Special mention to Ms. Nilanjana who was there coordinating things right from day one before admission till the end minute. Thanks to all other doctors and team members for their delightful service. Worst hospital ever. Doctors are nice but the staff behaviour is very bad. Even the security guard behaves very rudely. My patient was admitted there and had an open gallbladder surgery, after surgery they kept my patient in general ward. I have a health scheme and my entitlement is under private ward, they never gave us the private ward even after requesting for thousand times. Each and every staff is rude, from security guard to RMO everyone is rude.

One of the worst hospitals in Eastern India. They are a big fraud and have doctors who are incapable and ill-informed. The quality of the nursing staff and junior doctor is even worse. Please save yourself from harassment by not visiting this hospital ever.

Doctos were polite, knowledgeable, easy approach and specially Dr.Varun he is too humble, polite and managed my case so calmly. He suggested me some blood tests and medications and sonography.Now I am free of symptoms.Thanks a ton to dr.Varun,desun emergency and staffs. Seen few people showing arrogance, uttering bad words against him for no reasons but he handled these too very politely. I will suggest patients to visit Desun in case of emergency.

The lady engaged in Covid vaccination registration and management is polite, helpful and with great patient attending every person. The nurses are also very polite and careful. Disaster and pathetic service. Never ever expect like this type of harassment from private hospital. After given appointment for Opd OT for minor tissue growth from finger of leg. Came to hospital at 8 am as told by hospital last night. Went to emergency and done all the formality and even paid the money. After 2 hours they told today is not possible and please come on Monday. My mother is 68 years old and sugar patient. And she is in empty stomach since midnight as told by hospital person for ot purpose. Horrible experience. This is my last visit in this hospital. I know if you lose one customer so it doesn’t matter to you but this an eye opener for all.

Totally 0 star rated hospital. They will charge you by falsified the situation and patience conditions. All the good reviews are given by paid review and hospital staff. Let me explain my experience at desun. My father was having two all heart attack and was under treatment at burdwan BIMS. They found some blockages and a bypass surgery was needed. When I visited desun for exploring the prince and turnaround time for the same bypass surgery they admitted my father to emergency room without any panic situation and they told us to deposite 2 lakh in order to save my father life which was at risk as per the hospital staff. But when I forcefully meet my father at emergency room he said he is absolutely fine and this hospital stuffs are falsified the situation. Me and my father with help one local uncle (who was my father's friend) came out of the hospital and admitted my father to durgapur mission hospital. Now my father is well and has came back to his normal life after a bypass surgery which was done on May 2023. Thanks to durgapur mission hospital and staff.

I had a very worse experience with your management. My father was admitted at your hospital under a doctor in icu. After 2 days according to his health condition he was shifted to general ward. I was informed about that through message. I took appointment from Desun to meet with the doctor under whom my father was admitted. I reached hospital in time but after 1hr 30mins your management team informed me that my patient had been shifted to general ward under supervision of another doctor and presently previous doctor would not meet with me. Now I had to take another appointment to meet with the new doctor. The most surprising thing was that the management knew everything but they didn't informed me anything. Secondly, in general ward no slippers are provided to patients and management didn't bother to inform the same to the patient's relatives.

Much better chances of recovery at home than trusting one's health with this organisation. Here are few points for the highlights reel: 1. Poorly qualified medical staff bully elderly patients to cover up their mistakes. It seems that the staff have their own medical expertise and don't require doctors' instructions to "treat" the patients. 2. Patients' concerns aren't conveyed to the supervising doctor at all. Other "doctors" are sent to convince patients that concerns are baseless. 3. The usual shenanigans of delaying tests and treatment, "forgetting" about things here and there to convert a 3 day stay to a 10 day one. 4. There always seems to be an air of superiority that they are doing the patients a favour by mistreating them, both medically and otherwise.

6002-Jhuma De Sarkar Had a very good experience at this hospital. Dr. BK Dolui sir is fantastic at what he does. The nursing care was on point. The coordination and timely help from PRO Avratanu and Suman was highly appreciated. Recommend this hospital to anyone for any kind of medical help.

My grandmother was treated in this hospital for transplantation under Dr Bk. Dolui, I want to say that he is the worst Dr I've ever seen. He feel irritated whenever we ask any questions. There is a very thin line between desun and govt hospital is the money.. they are ready to take money but not available to provide us any help. Very rude behaviour of few nursing staff with patient. RMO'S are not so efficient or they are ill skilled persons. Our consultant Dr Arnab is very good experienced doctor and so much polite we like his line of treatment. Further see my comments or complaints in written.

Lack of communication between the staff. We are also unable to connect the doctor,neither can we connect the other staff.The rules and regulations are too much irritating.One of our family members is admitted in this hospital (worst hospital on earth). A LOT OF MISMANAGEMENT HAS TAKEN PLACE . NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL . WORST HOSPITAL TO EVER EXIST ON EARTH . Many other issues has also taken place.

Hi I am Amit Shaw I am a zomoto food delivery boy on 10 March 10. At 45 pm I came to the hospital to deliver my food and with the food they told me to give the food to the security guard. Who gave you food, I told the bus security guard that I will get a photo of you with the food, the security guard misbehaved with me and insulted me in front of everyone, this is my message, honor of Desun hospital. I told my staff to keep their behavior right by the way, I was a Zomoto food delivery boy but I myself have told everyone to Desun hospital that it is the best hospital… I just say that from Desun hospital Be it a doctor, a nurse, or any other staff, people's behavior should be correct.
