PLEASE READ This review to save yourself from the fatality your family can face in future. I lost my mother on 12 February 2023 due to the negligence of doctors and the hospital. My mother has been patient with apollo for RENAL TRANSPLANT OPERATION. The Doctors at the hospital believe they are gods and can make any human run around as per their wish. My family had to face so much humiliation at the hospital. My mother was admitted to the hospital in December 2022 and was not even operated on. They discharged her without operation due to some technical problem as per the hospital, but no written document was provided. Instead, we were charged money of RS 2 Lakh for the operation. The hospital never gave us any explanation for the situation. We were again given another date for 2 February, on which the operation finally happened. Pre-operation admission was problematic; they always tried and sold you higher packages like a salesperson. This is not just sales but also forcement with patients' relatives. Post-operation, we could never speak to the surgeon DR VINAY MAHENDRA. He is always in a rush and never has enough time for patients' families. The post-operative care was not done correctly by DR Manish Jain. All vitals were out of place; the doctor was not even able to handle the basics for the patient. A Biopsy was performed by sanjib Mazumdar, at the appolo Radiology department and RUPTURED the blood vessel, which led to blood loss which was not handled by the doctors and hospital well. This has led to the DEATH of my mother. The nurses in SICU were rude and would not talk in Hindi and only in the local language to make you feel UNCOMFORTABLE. They were RUDE to my mother while nursing. My mother was by herself on Sunday, the night we lost her. She was only taken care of by nurses when she was so critical. No doctor was available to even look after her. No surgeon or Doctor was available for her. The nurses in HDU were rude and would not even inform patients' relatives about patients' health status. My mother was critical, but the hospital did not notify us before the death about her health status, which, as patient relatives, was our right to know; instead kept telling us she was okay. This hospital Only cares about money, charged us (10LAKH ) and does not care for patients' survival. It's the mismanagement of hospitals that cannot handle renal transplant patients. They want money and do not care if the patient comes out alive post-operation. I would not advise anyone to visit this hospital. It's just a money-minting machine for which they use our loved ones and do not even provide them what they need to survive, which is care, support and good treatment.

Hospital is good enough but there is no helping stuff at entry gate. It would be better if they fix this issue. And very high price of any testing more than Chennai Apollo. I have done one LFT test they took 2300/- oh my God. Chennai Apollo far better than Kolkata Apollo. If you want to be mad, go there for check up. Chennai Apollo behaviour of the stuffs and money charging is reasonable even they are not butcher like Kolkata Apollo. Chennai Apollo provides best treatment and services.

One of the best Multispeciality hospital in our city. During my last visit I found very helpful staff all-around. They are very professional and supportive. The rooms and chambers are so clean and well maintained.I didn't click many photos inside the hospital as it is unethical. Thanks ApolloπŸ™

Location:- Apollo Hospital Near Saltlake Metro Station. How can you reach? From Bidhannagar there are available buses for Apollo. (β‚Ή10) (Autos are only for reservations which will cost β‚Ή150) Approx time 15min. Before stoppage - Mani square Mall. From the metro this is the 3rd station from sealdah. (β‚Ή10) No direct bus is available from Howrah Station. There are two main centres Main Building and Day care Building. Maximum OPD services are in DAY CARE CENTRE. The staff is very helpful. For the first time you need to register yourself ,it will cost β‚Ή300. (Self registration QR code in images) You need to wait long for USG. Better to submit your USG bill before a day if possible. I visited Dr. Jayanta Kr. Gupta. (Gyno & Obs) One of the best Doctor I ever visited. So humble and listen very carefully. Doc suggest very few medicines. Doc visiting Charges - β‚Ή1500/-

Very good hospital for medical treatment, area of hospital is so big, many facilities are here, they are provide international patients service. Treatment price is little bit higher but service is so good πŸ™‚ medical staff are so helpful and kind. You can also park your vehicle here but its chargeable. Canteen is present inside the hospital but too much costly. You have take appoinment first to consult doctor.

It is one of the best and very famous hospital in Kolkata. Good place for medical treatment but too expensive. Quality of treatment is good but services inside hospital is degrading year by year. Rules are very stringent for visitors after Covid. Some excellent doctors available here. Gastroenterology department is good. Discharge and admission process are cumbersome here. They take too much time to discharge. At the time of admission they will tell you no bad available at the moment, every time when you go there in any department. Md Mucha Mondal food and beverage service is very good. They take care of your choices of food as per Doctor recomend actions.

They almost killed my mother, Doctors are not visiting on Sunday but they will charge visiting fees for them. I discharged of my mother in middle of treatment. They took almost all test whichever available in the world and after that they were not available to understand small infection. If you want to get murdered your own people then admit them in Apollo.

Pathetic service. Everybody is indifferent. It's more like I'm doing them a favour when I bring my patient in than them doing me one. But ofc, they'll take lots of money because why not? Loot people and don't even provide proper service. Excellent. Do not bring your patients here. Rather go somewhere else.

COVID-19 Vaccination Centre Review: Apollo Kolkata is one of the private centres for COVID-19 vaccination. They will provide COVISHIELD only. Once inside the premises take the left turn and head straight towards the backside of the Daycare centre. If possible take a PRINTOUT of your booking and a photo identity card that contains your YEAR OF BIRTH. Preference will be given on FIRST COME FIRST SERVE basis so be sure to go early. At the entrance ask the person to write your name on the list because not everybody will register online. There's a nice waiting area outside but the real problem starts once inside. We were taken to the 3rd floor ONLY to get the receipt and payment. Only Cash and Card payment is accepted. No wallet payment. We were again back to ground floor and had to wait for our turn since there were already enough people inside and this CAN be quite suffocating during hot and humid days. This SHOULD'VE been shifted to a larger area for the benefit of both the Senior Citizens and the common public. Before entering for vaccination which in on the FOURTH FLOOR, deposit the receipt and verify your booking via REGISTERED MOBILE NO ON COWIN PORTAL and show ORGINAL ID CARD to the staff sitting in front of the vaccination room. NO PHOTOGRAPHY ALLOWED during vaccination. Once vaccinated wait for 30mins before leaving. Overall, crowd management is extremely poor and could've been avoided through planning.

My Mom had her Umbilical Hernia surgery here. It was performed by Dr. Shyamal Kumar Sarkar whom a relative of ours recommended for he had a successful surgery too. The Doc was so friendly, helpful & obviously very capable n knowledgeable. He helped us in every way possible & also talked with us any time without showing any kind of disturbance. Fortunately my Mom had a successful surgery. She stayed in the Twin Private Rooms(worth 6.5K per day). The room was equipped with a cabinet & tv which was really great for Mom. The bad things is that they don't allow relatives to stay as an attendant anymore & instead lets us hire nurses. This has it's pro - they'll be able to help the patient in a moment whereas relatives will have to shout to call nurses from their station, & con - they obviously want to rake up the bill. But the nurses & staff were really cordial & helpful. Mom made so many friends among them. The only bad thing about here is the immense delays during the Admission & Discharge process mostly due to Insurance processes. But still.....they should find a way to smooth & accelerate the process. The canteen food is not worth their cost at all but the outer cafΓ©s through the canopy serve some really good food(though a little costly but atleast they're delicious). It's really helpful if you stay near the Hospital so that you can do the grunt works when the Hospital gets almost deserted - like Pharmacy, getting reports from Dispatch, getting forms o4 booking appointments for the next day. Staying at Visitel which is right in front of Apollo helped me immensely. Each & every information desk & reception helped us warmly. The hospital & rooms were very clean as expected. My father also showed his back pain to Dr. Abrar Ahmed & Diabetes to Dr. Tirthankar, & they helped my father a lot too. They were warm & helpful to their patients too. Overall I didn't actually have much a bad experience here. I've been going to Apollo(Chennai mostly & Kolkata twice) for almost a decade now, & surprisingly they haven't disappointed us in any surgery or check-up any time.

My experience today at Apollo Gleneagles Kolkata is shocking and disappointing. I took my kid to visit the child specialist whom we are visiting since her birth in this place but today was my first visit in Covid era. Honestly, I was avoiding this place due to overwhelming crowd in such a small space in OPD. I had to visit today due to an emergency on getting a health certificate from the doctor for my kid's school admission. I was surprised to see that they made a new procedure which mandated checking kids temperature using a digital thermometer and not using a thermal gun. The same thermometer is being used for all kids in the queue in a gap of less than a minute and as a token of cleansing it, they are sprinkling some drops of sanitiser in between. How on earth such a reputed hospital cannot make use of a thermal gun (which is widely accepted procedure across the world for contactless temperature measurement) and be so irresponsible endangering the life of a kid, making them prone to covid infection ???

My experience with Apollo Kolkata is very poor. They treat people without any courtesy. They have one standard reply that due to COVID they have reduced manpower. Atleast they are in a industry which is running fully even during COVID times and is making money. Since they have this privilege I think they should utilize it for their advantage by providing better service.

In one word treatment cost is expensive but quality of medical facilities and 24*7 Emergency services is remarkable, Apollo Multi-speciality Hospital glory and reputation known for their care snd treatment provided to the patients. Hospital is situated in Phool Bagan,58, Canal Circular Road, E.M. Bypass Service Road, nearby Saltlake Stadium and Bengal Chemical Metro terminal. Apollo hospital has also another Cancer Hospital unit, it's a well-known Oncology care centre. Neat and Cleanliness is well-maintained but Security Administration is very strict, they don't compromise with any discipline even patient's party.

Located in Maniktalla Main Road, Kankurgachi. The easiest way to reach there is by Ola or Uber. Or you could take a auto from Kankurgachi More which would charge around 10/-, and then a 5 minutes walk to the right. It's a multispeciality Hosiptal that has almost all the doctors of healthcare. The hygiene is well maintained, masks are compulsory post Covid but there is technically no distancing practiced. Time management is a good point there. Emergency services are available 24X7 and they have doctors avaible throughout. They have a indoor Canteen that works from 10am to 8pm located in the consultation building 1st floor and a 24X7 snacks store located in the ground floor. They have a indoor pharmacy for emergency needs which is usually stocked. Overall I have heard good reviews for this hospital and it's beloved that many who had lost hopes of living again were cured here at Apollo.

One of my friends mom was admitted for Angiogram. Treatment is no doubt good , but the other systems and their so called PROTOCOL is a trash. They do behave very badly with the parties. Only GOD knows What do they think about themselves. My city has a better hospital with better facilities than this one. You will be treated good by the doctors but not the other staffs.

In every possible way avoid this hospital. Most unprofessional hospital ever seen. They can't email the report. During Covid times you have to stand in a long queue to get your report from most pathetic people who doesn't know how to address patient concerns. In pic people standing in queue waiting for the Maharaj sitting to help with necessary reports.

Worst hospital in kolkata for management and administration issues... There is no co-ordination among staffs and department.Unnecessary harassment of patient party. Charging a huge amount of money but doesn't provide that quality of service.Specially the blood bank service is worst..without informing anyone the blood bank remain closed for 7days!..My baby was admitted in NNICU and needed blood transfusion in emergency basis on that crisis period, but they doesn't inform us that it will be close for such a long period.. They give us emergency blood requisition form at 8pm when my baby's platelets count was only 8000..and bleeding about to start!.. The doctor even don't know about their closing news!!... Have to search for blood whole night for 1month old baby!!...how irresponsible the administration is!!... And also worst for hygiene, got hospital acquired infection twice.. They are like blood-leaches, thought there is 10 no of bed officially but always admit more than 15babies, but there is scarcity of nurses in the shift.. So baby's are getting less care and chances of infection increases, specially at night there always 3 staffs only at neonatal ICU.. Where The baby's are in critical condition and have to handle frequently, how could they get proper care!!... Doesn't follow NABH rules also

Hospital itself is a scary thing for everyone's life. But Apollo has served my father the best i could possibly imagine. Each and every staff right from reception to Doctor have been a great help. The satisfaction we had is impeccable. Great services throughout with uber care. Now to the food quality and quantity, a surprise again. Such great taste with limited masala was something to be given credit to the entire food department notably Dhananjoy da, Uttam da and Mrinmoy da were always alert for any need. Apollo did amaze me with doctors notably Dr. Raja Nag cardiology dept, Kartik Da, Gargi di, procedures, behaviour, food, facilities, Nurses (Sunita di), all hospitality staffs. I am thoroughly satisfied with each n everything. Though the procedures were a bit heavy on your pocket but the treatment and care I got is simply great. I would highly recommend this place for tension free check ups of our close ones.

This place is mockery in the name of the novel medical profession, the doctors here are butchers conducting business deals at the cost of patients' well being. - The people and stuff in this hospital are trained to always portray their worst side and behave indifferently with everyone -The internal atmosphere is putrid and toxic, patients admitted frequently pick up ancillary diseases like lung infection, urinary infection on prolonged hospitalization. -The doctors are rude/indifferent and take advantages of a patient's limited knowledge around medical procedures by creating panic and seek to increase the bill just like any Consumer goods company would do to increase the Life time value of any consumer. -They make patients undergo unnecessary treatments just to increase the bill and reap the full benefit of the Health insurance that you have got. This is a place swarming with corrupt medical professionals and my advice is to please avoid this place at any cost. My father's life is hanging on the thread after getting bypass surgery here under Dr Bikas Majumder and Dr Sushan Mukherjee. They did the surgery without proper background checking for the patient and post surgery things complicated. I had to shift my father to another hospital and I won't recommend this place even to my worst enemy.

I had a horrible experience with Apollo chennai. This was my first visit there. We had an appointment for a tonsils tumour and it was just a day care surgery i.e the patient is allowed to leave after they get their conscious. First thing is during this covid time there is no safety protocol maintained here other than sanitation obviously. Secondly, there is no specific waiting room or sitting place available for the attendees. May be the attendees are just supposed to stand through out the day. During our waiting time anywhere we go we are not supposed to stand there. So it was very painful for us to find a place to sit/stand as it was over crowded. Last but not the least, even after it was 9'O clock in the night and almost everyone had left, we couldn't release our patient and even we couldn't get a proper reason why the release is delayed. Sometimes they say there is some clarification pending from OT, sometimes they say some junior doctor will come to check the patient. I am not complaining about the wait time, the thing is they should have told what's the process or how much time it will take. Whatever should have finished before evening that they couldn't resolve till almost midnight. I know many people have the trust over the treatment they give or the quality of doctors they have, but the management is very very poor. If possible I would have given a negative rating to Apollo Chennai. All hail Apollo Chennai.

I have been visiting the hospital and bringing my Mother since last 10 years. Over a period of time there has been serious deterioration of services. There was no female doctor available for Ecocardiography of my mother. When I raised my concern the lady at the counter said that's how they do. It's always a male doctor. If I have a problem with that, I should be speaking to reception. The tone was so rude. Such a callous approach. We don't pay premium to get this kind of services. It's a basic understanding that eco/ecg of a female should be done by a female and not male. Extremely disappointed with the behaviour and the approach.

This establishment still do not accept UPI payment. Even in pharmacy it depends on people at the cash counter whether you can pay using UPI or not. People need hospititity training as you may find some of them rude. If you are driving here then you may find traffic jam in front of emergency. OPD is in two different buildings .. they transfer paitents from one building to another through chaos and totally unruly traffic. Total mismanagement everywhere, but still they get huge footfall. It's upto the paitent to find what to do and where to pay. Even payment system is also oldage they accept cards or cash. NO UPI.

I had to undergo my knee surgery for which I had to be hospitalized for 3 days. Their service is very good with decent ambience, good in hygiene and cleanliness. All the staffs were great, helpful. Be it the housekeeping or the lift man, everybody was great. The male and female nurses took great care of mine and helped me get better soon. The quality and the quantity of the food that was served to me was also great and sumptuous.

Reposting again: they pay to remove reviews I lost my Father due to medical negligence at this Hospital in the hands of a certain very high ranking Medicine specialist Dr. Shyamashish Bandhopadhaya. They gave him immeasurable high doses of antibiotics in a week span causing to have sepsis and multi-organ failure. They were doing tests to receive more money from the insurance company even while he went into brain-stock. I would not ask anybody to ever go to this hospital EVER !!!! I am giving it a star because I have to otherwise it would not be posted. They are very cunning educated robbers in disguise of doctor and medical staffs. They try to keep their patients admitted there until the patient and their family members are broken down and financially finished. If they know you have High coverage Insurance plan, then They will make sure to use full cover no matter how it impact the patient and their family and even for that they intentionally keep the patient in extreme situation to show it on bill They took 1hr to shift unconscious patient from general ward to ICU. All nurses were busy to vacant and clean that general ward, but were not to get ready to take the patient in ICU which should be their highest priority. While in serious condition of patient, all emergency/night doctor were sleeping and in next 2hr patient was no more just because of them as they didn't responded on time in such critical case. They hided their treatment, also the medicine they have provided.Dr Syamasis Bandyopadhyay, who has given many high power antibiotics and which causes multi organ failed including kidney. Hospital has good communication within doctors for all humours and jokes but they don't know their duties and responsibilities. They Don't know value of family, slow service. show off for high quality hospital. On the top. They are not Apollo. they have franchise of Brand and using Apollo brand name to rob. They are just doing business in name of hospital. That I have contacted to upper management including CEO Rana Dasgupta, also but got the same response. This is not a Hospital, This is Robber house, Money maker machine and slaughtered financially by a bunch of professional educated with robber course

Apollo health check up is a decent place for the health check up. The staff was well behaved. The process was well managed. However one of the things that I would recommend is to better manage waiting times. It took 3 hours for the blood and ECG.

I had a very good experience in this hospital. One person is assigned to your patient since admission. During admission, Work of all Sisters, Housekeeping Staffs and Food Staffs is very neatly earmarked and well executed. Each department has its own Internal Supervision of work. And good thing is that at the end of Hospital stay, one Independent Supervision Feedback assessment is done from highest level, where direct feedback from patient about each staff is taken and digitally recorded. This has created a very positive work environment among all staff since they know that their hardwork is being recorded directly at highest level. So all staffs do their best to serve Patient and are not worried of any bias which their internal Supervisory superiors boss may have against them. Nice healthy work environment in nutshell.

I recently went to have a MRI, the receptionist was extremely engaging and advised me throughout the entire process. She handed me over to the radiology department, where I had minimal waiting time before I went to the MRI room. The cleanliness and hygiene is maintained and is of paramount importance. Overall the staff are really helpful and guided me through the entire process.
