This hospital is ideal for the richest people, not for middle class family... I am belong from a middle class family... I will recommend that if you are belong from middle class family you shouldn't go there... Also I'm not satisfied with their behaviour , rules, regulations,and unnecessary charges...

This is one of the best hospital in kolkata. I came here for a problem of PUJ obstruction. I was under one of the best well known urologist Dr. Kaushik Sinha. Every nurse and staff of this hospital served me very carefully. Foods were actually very tasty and healthy also. Each and every Staffs are quite aware and helpful even in the night shift. Calling bells are present on every bed and in washroom also. If I write it in brief sentence I must say overall maintenance and hospital facilities feel us like our home or better than it.

I feel the customer care department of Fortis of Rashbehari should learn general ethics how to speak with people and should know the rules and regulations before speaking to people . Fortis Management request you look into this issues seriously. I called in the evening at 7pm they informed me to call after 9pm for the reports. When I called after 9pm I was informed that the office closed at 9pm. I feel the management should take strict action against such issues.

My father was admitted on 4th Nov for laser BNI, which apparently is a procedure which involves 3-4 days hospitalisation, max. On account of his age, we were advised tat he may require upto 5days of hospitalisation. He is being treated by Dr. Gopala Krishnan Our horrific experience started right from the 5th, day of operation. OT was scheduled at 8am, didnot start upto until 9.30am & we saw doctor walking in at 9am & the procedure was completed by around 10.30am Thereafter , the ops, patient ( my father) was not brought back to his room till after 2pm & after waiting for several hours we were not even able to see him. Then began his ordeal where he was not given his medicines on time, there was a major confusion as to the administration of his earlier prescribed drugs, which I had to go & sort out on the 7th. Going by d original discharge plan on 8th, we were told it eud now be 9th. Thereafter, 9th became 10th & even today , standing here at the hospital we are being told it will be tomorrow, ie. 11th If anyone cares to read tis review will agree with me tat tis hospital is nothing but a money-making machinery, fleecing patient party , more so, when its a cashless payment option. Tis mental agony on us & the patient himself is something they should compensate for. I will never come back to tis hospital & wid strongly advice all my friends & family never to set foot here for any kind of treatment. There is s major gap of communication betweeen Dr Gopala Krishnan & the hospital staff, each blaming the other, whn questioned.

Very bad management team. They behaved with patient's family members very rudely. They did not even care about your time. For check up always you have to wait for the doctor more than 4 hours. If your appointment has been scheduled in morning they will call you in the afternoon. in the reception area AC temperature has been set always 16 degree but in the patient room sometimes AC does not work properly. Some doctor's behavior is very good, but their management team is worthless like hell. Hospital food for patient is not upto the mark.

I am a patient of Dr Srinibas Narayan. First, Dr. Narayan is really a praiseworthy doctor from all respects. Secondly, I am really satisfied with the service provided in the reception, OPD and particularly the patient service team is very amiable. Don't trust the ratings & review of this hospital completely as I saw a female staff is roaming around & asking every next visitor to give a rating and even I saw she herself is doing it from that visitor's phone. Anyway they have good doctors so they get good number of patients but the staff is not at all emphatic to patients & Patient party. Specially if you are looking for Dr A.R. Dutta's appointment. Reception staff can't help you , no one will receive the call on desired extention number. After all this finally when you reach there , they will behave like they're doing a favor to you. I think 3rd floor staff needs to be more emphatic.

Had taken my father who is a senior citizen to Fortis. We had taken an online appointment for Dr Ayush Chowdhury for my father who is a senior citizen patient. It was a waste of time taking the appointment once we reached on the second floor they told us there is no appointment and its first cum!! We waited in line for billing for more than 40 mins and the billing counter did not even have network to print the bill!!! The entire process and dealing with the staff was a nightmare.

My brother was admitted to Fortis hospital, Gariahat, Kolkata for kidney stone operation on 24.3.2022. He was treated by Dr. S Narayan, we found the doctor very frank, cooperative and ready to listen to his patients. My brother was fully satisfied with the team of hospital staff, food served by the hospital and the treatment. We are thankful to doctors and the whole team of Fortis hospital.

The hospital is good. It's specially for kidney care. But some doctors and management staff are a little irresponsible. My uncle's laser prostate surgery was done from this hospital and during this time we faced some issues. But yes, the infrastructure and overall doctor's qualification plus experience is good.

Uneducated nursing staff... they spoilt my fistula .My fistula operation was done here ..it was working after the OT . The next morning also it was working. One of the nurse gave me 3 medicine of Blood pressure and I had hypotension.My fistulla stopped working after I had the medicines.. My doctor came in the evening and confirmed that it happened due to hypotension. Now who will pay for the loss .. the uneducated nurse or the management. I complained about this to the nursing incharge .. she gave me some lame excuse to safeguard her staff .

Very bad experience... they are like money hungry.. not even the nephrologist dr. ...they took lots of money bt didnt chk my father well. the receptionist and the security guards are very bad mouthed towards everyone, but no one said them anything because everyone wanted a treatment . According to my own experience its very very bad. specially the lady guard who was standing beside the reception .. is very rude and bad mouthed. for no proper reason they charged us..

Horrible Reception Service.A girl named Monalisa Das did the billing and gave me wrong information regarding the doctor's time.I had an emergency my patient is admitted in Belle Vue I came here for 2nd opinion and the time given was 12:30pm,now they are saying the doctor will come at 2pm. My parents visited today to see Dr.Upal Sengupta. Our experience was horrible with him. He is so rude towards the pt as well as he is threatening the pt in some unprofessional manner. Being a doctor he should be polite and have patience to listen to the pt need. I strongly not recommending this doctor. Fortis management should look into their doctors behavioral side, to ensure their good wills.

We took single cabin for patient and I stayed as an attendant. Overall nurses and other staffs took good care of patients and also enquired about my necessity while staying. Took very good care of the patient. Doctor was very polite.

Loved the service of the staffs and the whole authority. Infrastructure is quite up to date & quick. Sanitation and hygienic condition is always maintained inside the hospital. Washrooms are regularly washed and are super clean. And the hospital has huge number of qualified and renowned doctors with very polite behavior.

Definately a good hospital. Admitted my grandfather for surgery. They did their best and made us satisfied. Covid rules are highly maintained here. They abide by the rules strictly. They don't allow family more than family person even in visiting hours.

My patient was 86 years old. He was using Suprapubic catheter which was done by Dr. Gopala krishnan as Vedanagyam hospital in Coimbatore suggested. All was fine but from last 21 days there is blockage in catheter due to mineral salt. I visited first on 19/7/21 in emergency to fortis rashbehari to see Dr. Krishnan but his assistant Mr. Ganguly make us waited for 3 hours and at last junior doctor attended us and do the bladder wash the patient was reliefed and Mr. Ganguly replied for such a small case Junior Dr. are there Gopal krishnan has no time for such a small issue. Again on 23/7/21 same blockage happened and again we rush to hospital same bladder wash done by junior doctor but Mr. Ganguly dosent allow us to meet Dr. Krishnan. At last on 7th of August there was teleconsultation arranged by Mr. Ganguly with doctor for us and he Dr. Krishnan asked to admit the patient FOR OT . The OT was done in 10/8/21 and make sure that there is no infection in bladder and they have clear it for which we had paid 1.25 lac Rs. On 11/8/21 the patient was discharged and again within 36 hours i.e. in evening 13/8/21 again catheter was blocked. I wassup the assistant of Dr. Krishnan with the photos of white discharge the doctor replied it is normal give him vitamin C 500 tablets and weekly bladder wash. Wassup message attached as proof. We went URO RMO of fortis got the bladder wash and again on 15/8/21 in morning the catheter was blocked. I again wassup Dr. Krishanan assistant he replied to contact emergency section of hospital. This message is also attached as proof. My only question is this charging money is not an issue atleast treatment should be proper. Worst doctor and worst assistant I had ever seen Now we had put three way catheter and has done bladder wash with saline today 15/8/21 now he is relief waiting after how many days the blockage will occur

Dr Gopala Krishna was extremely courteous and responsive. He suggested me to go for an X-ray to further understanding of my medical issue. After payment and going through the x-ray, I was kept waiting for quite sometime. All new patients were being given priority over other patients who were advised by Dr to go for additional tests. I think there are too many floor managers and the entire system seems to reek of adhocism and unprofessional attitude. They are not taught soft skills or do they understand soft skills. I have no complaint for the treatment. Moreover the space is too crammed and filled with too many people.

Should be rethink of the processes of to show the test report to doctor, who advised the test and asked to show the Same on the same day. Waiting time is Not as per any norms but some whims. Can be accommodated easily between 2 new patients.

Worst management. I have recently booked appointment for a doctor at their Gariahat branch through their my fortis app. They gave a slot for 11 am. Then someone called me and told that I should come at 10 am as the doctor will start seeing patient from 10 am and it will be on first come first serve basis. On the day of appoitment they sent a SMS informing to report atleast 20 min early. So, I came early with my 82 years old dad who is the patient. To my surprise, they told me that doctor starts seeing patient only from 12 pm and asked me to wait. When I told them that why then they have called me and asked me to come at 10 am and also why they opened a slot for 11 am in their app, they could not provide any answer. This kind of mismanagement is not at all expected from such a reputated hospital.

It's a mess in the OPD. people are falling on top of the other a very cramped space. No place to sit, no place to stand. The security are rude so are the reception people. Visiting only if an emergency.. A doctor's consultation for me took more than 3+ hours from the time of the payment to the time we left the premises after consultation. The lifts are slow and take long to come. Come with a lot of Patience when u reach this hospital

Doctor's appointment was at 1.30pm. Doctor came to chamber at 3.15pm. Got to see the doctor at 5pm. No prior notifications were communicated. They take patient's time for granted. Not even sufficient chairs at the waiting area, it's totally congested, unhygienic and mess. The staff are unapologetic about their mismanagement. I am never coming back, ever.

Disgusting. I wanted to consult with Dr. RK Gopalakrishnan. But his assistant is telling me first I will have to consult his assistant doctor(by paying fees) do tests (even if I don't need to) then consult Dr. RK Gopalakrishnan through online media(paying fees here as well) . This is another level of scam. I want to consult the main doctor then why am I being forced to do tests without check up. Stop stealing money like this from middle class people. Very poor.

Dr gopalakrishnan suggest My mother to do kidney biopsy and my mother get admitted in Fortis rashbehari under Mr RK gopalakrishnan,he sent my mother to Fortis Ananda pur to do the biopsy I told several times to his assistant aritro for quadra but he told me doctor will decide.the guy whose name is Arun might be he told me wrong name he was supporting staff in Fortis Ananda pur told me that this is simple procedure and I my self will do the biopsy when I asked him any doctor will accompany you he told me no ,it was trucut biopsy but he did fnac and after doing the biopsy he told me I didn't find any thing, how come such a risky process he did it without any senior consultation ,I was worried about the process so for satisfaction after 15 days of that process I did pet scan and there I am finding its metastatic and spread every where, might be due to his negligence I don't know.within a short period without any sign my stage 1 cancer get metastatic. after that process when I returned to rashbehari Fortis and when told about that incidence no body responded,then I report Dr gopalakrishnan he told me that these types of biopsy always done by technician there and I spoke to concern person there.How come trucut under sonography guided biopsy of kidney will be done without any doctor or radiologist . Without my concent these guys has done fnac without any result ,so guys do be careful because life is very precious,now I am realising ............... .

Doctors are good but reception and management are worst. They are not at all helpful.

Overall it's a good exexperience in FHKI. Staff and doctors are very cooperative. Wonderful house staff and sisters. Homely care is given to patients. If the patient Discharge process be looked in to, for promptness.

I have received very good care from this Hospital… got treatment from one of the best urologist Dr. Ayush Chowdhury. Behavior of all stuffs starting from receptionist, admin and maintenance are best in class. Specially nursing care received from here was superb. They made me feel at home and helped me to gain speedy recovery after OT.

Extremely unsatisfied with the staffs and doctors of the hospital. They don't know how to behave with the patient, they rudely talked to the patient and patient party. My father had gone through a kidney stone OT and faced a lot of problems after procedure. If there is a option of 0 star ⭐ I will gave them. The patients are not informed properly about the probable time of arrival of doctors by the staff at reception. They do not bother to respond to the queries of the outdoor patients. The waiting lounge is too small to accommodate the patients and their attendants. The public address system does not function properly. Overall there is gross mismanagement. Not at all satisfactory.

I went through the surgery for kidney and ureter stone. Dr. Ayush Choudhary did it very well. He explained the root cause and the treatment very patiently. Ward care was also very good. Nurses took very good care of every patient.

Doctors are good , but poor management and very careless staff are there. All staff are busy in mobile with their boyfriend or girlfriend. They dont know how to behave specially reception counter, really well trained in harassing patients and their attended.

Crowd management is poor. Stretchers are stained and dirty. Front office staff are okey. Complete lack of empathy and sympathy for patients and their accompanied people by the back end staff. Pharmacy lacks all the medicine prescribed. No one picks up calls. Fortis is just a shadow of what it was a decade ago.. Very disappointed.

Doctors are excellent and describe your problem very clearly. I was under Pushkar Shyam Chowdhury's treatment and doctor informed me in detail about the treatment I will go through. Nurses are polite and well behaved.Foods are higenic, well cooked and given depending upon patients situation.

Extremely dissatisfied with the way hospital functions. My patient had a fall in the bathroom right after his surgery because the nursing staff probably prefers staying deaf in whee hours. Patient wanted to use toilet and used his bed side bell 2-3 times but when no one turned up he went on his own and fell down. It was not reported to the patient family. Not getting into the billing because it’s pretty much same in all hospitals but one thing with all your approvals ready you still may have to wait for hours for patient discharge. Overall not the place to be!

Excellent service. Disciplined staff. A bunch of expert young nurses take care of the patients like their own family members. Periodic enquiry throughout the day about patient's health by all different role holders was praiseworthy. Very good service provided for the attendant also. Hospital admin may plan for some infra development like cabin internal rennovation for better satisfaction of patients.

Very good hospital for all complex urology problems. I had been admitted there under a wonderful doctor : Dr. Pushkar Shyam Choudhury, whose very presence is reassuring to the patient. Staff- members are polite and well mannered. Suchani & Aditi at admission desk; they were always happy to help. Insurance desk people were prompt. Inside the General Ward I got tremendous help from Payel, Sutanu, Dipali, Tanisha and others. Puspo and Rakhi were owesome -- they have no hesitation to clean the elderly patients at any hour of the day/night ! But like all good things, there are some dark spots also : inter-departmental co-ordination is lacking. Nobody knows the nearly approximate time of OT and/or release. SMSs to home, announcement at the hall, info at the nurses station -- all differ largely thereby making the inmates of the patients perplexed. However, thanks to all.

The worst and most overhyped hospital. The staff and reception behaviour is terrible, and the HDU unit ward boys and staff mock the patients, illtreat them. They are looting us,shifting the patient from ICU without consent by telling HDO unit is being repaired, and charging extra. They are extremely non cooperative sadistic people, and the doctors ( Dr. Ayush Choudhary) are just interested in money making. They murdered the patient by wrong diagnosis. Terrible business is going on.

I have visited with my parents for a checkup of my mother in the OPD department to Dr. Arup Ratan Dutta. As per my knowledge, he is one of the best in India in his area of expertise. We have deeply benefited from his consultation. Doctor's assistant, housekeeping staff, floor managers and other staff members were very helpful and co-operative. Highly recommended.

Excellent service obtained from frotis medical centre, Dr. Nandini Ray and her team. Both eyes (R/L) cataract operation done at Fortis Medical center by Dr. Nandini Ray and I am very satisfied with her treatment.

I am quite happy with the operations. Experienced Doctors. Service provider(nurses) are good at their behaviours. But disappointed in one thing that is time management. Reception people are not that helpful. They never value the patient’s s time. They always delayed without any prior notice. Which happens almost every single time. Limited seat capacity at reception areas. So you can expect good doctor for urinary treatments. But careful about the time.

Nice arrangements. Fully air conditioned. Seating arrangements are very little. Most of the people have to stand, even outside of the gate during outdoor times. Otherwise it's okay and very systematic.

I was admitted in hospital in critical condition due to infection in my kidneys. After one week treatment I was released in stable condition. I thank to all staff and Dr. Of this hospital who have cured me and doing my normal duty.

Treatment is good but time management is very bad and poor

Terrible experience. The hospital is flooded with patients, numbers which they can’t handle. My mother was operated on Tuesday 24/09/19 and the doctor(Dr Gopala Krishnan) did not bother to even meet us before or after operation. He just went away after operation was done without informing us about the results of the operation. Even before discharge, he did not meet us to explain what are we supposed to follow as precautions and what medicines are supposed to be given. He just talked to my mother in our absence and said that other than a syrup no medicine would be required to be taken. She was happy. But the discharge certificate said otherwise. Lots of medicine were given to her and so we enquired about it but the doctor did not even bother to reply to our messages since then, its been 29/09/19 today. She was even told by the doctor that she needs to come after an year once for check up. But the discharge certificate says, meet with KUB X-ray after 3 weeks. And then the medical fraternity asks, why does not the common man understand the plight of doctors. Seriously?

I am very disappointed with the behaviour of the uroflowmetry technician. My wife was having problem with passing urine and the person did not show any compassion. He was very grumpy and he did not show any courtesy or sympathy towards my wife. This type of unprofessional, inhumane and arrogant behaviour is completely unacceptable from a healthcare worker. I am disgusted and disheartened.

Very very most bad reception service

I went to Fortis Rashbehari Avenue, Kolkata to consult Dr. Srinivas Narayan, Urologist for treatment of my mother's kidney stone (big one), detected by CITI Scan. I got well response from the Hospital reception, actually they called me over phone to confirm my appointment with Dr. Narayan. After consultation, Doctor Narayan suggested for PCNL operation (economic package) for removal of kidney stone of my 71 years old mother. As advised by Dr. Narayan, we consulted Dr. Khowala the Anasthesist who is very good and given only two pre-surgical tests. During surgery Dr. Srinivas Narayan decided to go for RIRS which is less costlier than the Package opted for (PCNL) and done the surgery successfully at Fortis, Rasbehari Avenue, Kolkata and advised their authority to refund Rs. 20K. Dr. Srinivas Narayan is one of the best Urologists in India and we are very lucky that he is in Fortis, Kolkata. He is wonderful person and make me understand my mother's problem and the process he opted for surgery. Dr. Srinivas Narayan is God to us. All the support staffs, nurses are very polite and dutiful. I would like to give my heartful thanks for all the supports to the whole Fortis Rashbehari Team. Specially I would like to mention Sangita di, Head-Patient care Service, Aditi, Debdulal and Snahwali at Dr. Narayan OPD chamber. My mother is fit and fine now under Dr. Srinivas Narayan's treatment. Decent experience with nurses and doctors. But very bad experience with the patient experience department. She does not know how to speak to customers and patients when her duty is to make the patient experience better.

This is not a place which can keep up to the branding of Fortis. It has a very congested environment. No social distancing maintained no thermal screening is done and on request they provide a use and throw mask that too not compulsory moreover no mandatory hand sanitization is also done here..... But to my surprise they charged us Rs250 only for covid safety. The doctor's frees is charged separately.... Overall a bad experience it terms of hospital management and billing..... point to be noted that i am not talking about the doctor .... we were satisfied with his advice and behavior......

As per the opinion of my husband, Shri Sujit Kumar Shil, admitted to your hospital on 11-11-2021 for TRUS guided prostate biopsy in bed No. 1022, the nurses, sisters, doctors and supporting staff of the hospital rendered exemplary service. They co-operated in all matters of treatment there. Maintaining distance norm, wearing mask in this pandemic situation, restriction in entry matters etc. we're being observed as per rules and directives. What is more alarming is that the inferior quality of food supplied. On 11-11-2021 I. e. the date of operation, he was guided as per the advice of the doctor and he obeyed and did not complain anything. But on the day of discharge, I. e. on 12-11-2021, the lunch supplied was of very inferior quality. You might agree that a diabetic patient should be supplemented with vegetables. But the same was absent in the menu. The fish provided appeared to be preserved in refrigerator for long and not fresh. Moreover, the quantity of fish appeared to be 20-25 grams, which is not, you might agree, is sufficient. It is correct that we admit hospital for treatment, not for food items. But the same is also a part of our survival with sufficient intake of food protein, vitamin etc. It is my earnest request to look all aspects of my husband's views and suggestions judiciously to improve the quality of service rendered by you in the days to come.

The environment at the hospital reception area is not at all good.Very conjested and the AC is also very very noisy.No proper restaurant and drinking water facilities. But the care to the admitted patients is commendable,excellent. Most of the support staff are also very good.
