#MEDICALMALPRACTICE #CSECTION #UNNECCESARYCSECTION #MEDICALMAFIA Dr. Indranil Chowdhuri and Dr. Amrita Chowdhuri (owner of Akanksha Clinic, Keyatala lane, but operating in Bhagirathi Neotia ) both had forced a unnecessary as well as unwanted caesarean surgery on me last March. How well they are as surgeons can be easily deduced from the fact that the surgery had led me to typhoid within 15 days (Dr. Indranil tried to blame the food and water intake but it happened to only me from the entire family) and incisional Hernia within 8/9 months and I will need to undergo another surgery. Added, their zero ethics towards this profession arises doubts like : is being a doctor only about making money as quick as possible , compromising the health of the patients? Dr. Indranil Chowdhuri had always discussed with me about the normal delivery I am going to have as I don’t have any complications. No abnormal bp or blood sugar or any other fitness related problems. His fine acting skill convinced me so well that despite being a DataScientist , I overlooked the data collected against him ( which says that he never performed a normal delivery) but trusted him when he assured me of a genuine attempt of Normal Delivery. I asked him in many of our meetings if I need to do any breathing exercises or yoga to prepare my body for the normal delivery, on which he ridiculed me stating that I am doing too much of google these days and all those are not necessary. With all these they induced labour on me at my 38 weeks of gestation ( no genuine reason for such early induction) which eventually failed and they started one after another threatening discussion session stating I would lose my baby if I do not allow them to cut me off ( get done with this transaction within 20 mins of time ) and get the baby out. They definitely are not in this profession to do things for free, but earning money without any morale / transparency/ ethics in medical profession is no less than terrorism. Their strategy is based upon : 1. Caesarean done in 20 mins = charge 60k inr ,, Normal Vaginal Delivery upto 24 hours = charge 60k inr 2. Therefore caesarean at any point of time achieves multi folded profit as compared to Normal Delivery per 24 hours. 3. False assurance of Normal Delivery to retain patients. After hospitalisation, threatening is done to get the job done as patients are already fully trapped and no one can stand the story of losing their baby. Dr. Indranil and Amrita are also blessed with a daughter and yet don’t have any responsibility ( forget integrity, moral, values) towards other’s daughters while destroying their health lifetime on the name of child birth. As the Govt is silent on these massively happening malpractices, I would pray to God for the justice to the new mothers and the children who are suffering from the same. I wish I had some review like this as an eye opener before falling prey to them and I sincerely hope this will help set the correct expectations against Akanksha and the team there. Edit: 1. Indranil and Amrita both has got a team who support them in this program of malpractice. In my case, a Chinese lady, the anaesthetist, done the epidural for me, popped up suddenly and started preaching why I couldn’t give birth normally and she could. As if I was the only csection case here. 2. Indranil Chowdhuri also told me stories about how his wife Amrita gave birth via csection and is all fit and fine ( running, bending etc.) and how csection should be made a standard practice as it’s just not a big deal. However, this is not at all the truth and is only part of his money grubbing strategy.

Its ok considering the fee they charge. I got to know that the doctor fees is different from the hospital/OT charges. An approximate cost for baby delivery is 1.8 to 2 Lakhs for Also you can't bring in outside food. There is no dedicated canteen or eating or dining area in the hospital. The nearest area where you can eat is immediately outside the hospital entrance there is a tea shop. The visiting hours are 5 PM to 7 PM.

……..Reply to Neotia……. (Readers, if you want a NORMAL DELIVERY then rethink before choosing Neotia and please refer to my Twitter handle @Tan43728788 for my scary experience on #UnnecessaryCsection from Neotia as well as Dr. Indranil Chowdhuri and Amrita Chowdhuri (also from Akanksha Clinic, Keyatala lane). Please note, due to tech glitch I am unable see my post with screenshots attached.) !! Greetings of the day from Tanisha Bhattacharyya ( one of your brutally and inhumanly betrayed patients - with ~3 lacs INR charged ) !! Dear Neotia hospital, I have already replied to your manipulative as well twisted explanations over Twitter, which you did not reply to. Can’t write more here due to technical issues, even then kindly elaborate on following: 1. What led you induce labour suddenly for me? What was the gestational age? 2. What protocol did you follow for a NVD as per your claim for me : genuine try for NVD ? 3. Why did you not send me home during the wait period ( as per your claim ), but raised the hospital bill ( ~20k per day ). 4. Why the %ge of caesarean in your hospital 99% if you genuinely try for NVD. 5. Why would you want to hide behind ‘patient’s data confidentiality’ but not be transparent if you feel you are doing the correct thing? I already mentioned, I don’t have any reason apart for awakening the would be mothers ( as in my case I need to live a half life with a forever broken body ). Thanks and regards, ……………..Previous comment…………….. I would give Neotia 5 star because of the nurses services I received. However reason for 1 Star is : This is the only private hospital where one can think of having Normal Vaginal Delivery (NVD) if the doctor don’t decide to deceive the patient. I wanted a NVD but alas despite being promised and even having every parameters right I got inhumanly betrayed by my doctor at the last moment. If one’s looking for a NVD they must check with the local stuffs about the doctor who has got the maximum number of NVDs. In my case, though my doctor never had done any NVDs he promised me to have one only to ensure he doesn’t lose his patient ( money ) . Had I got a single clue of the actual intention of my doctor, would have done my delivery in Bangalore, Chennai or Mumbai where patients health is given more priority and their choices, respect. I guess Neotia should make a prompt attempt against the Csections and actively ensure governance over unnecessary csections, thus stop the medical mal practice done by some quick money earning shameless doctors. Neotia should work hard to flip the percentage of csection 99% and NVD 1% to csection 1% and NVD 99%. That’s how it can give back to the society and to the poor women who wants to give birth to their child but eventually ends up living a half life health wise. YES CSECTION PAIN STAYS UNTIL THE DEATH OF THE MOTHER. #SayNoToUnneccesaryCsection

One of the worst private hospital i have visited in a metro city. They charge so high (1200 per consult) yet provide sub par service. There is no on-call appointment system. You have to walk in to OPD, take an appointment and wait for over an hour to see a doctor. Their app is another hell of an experience. The staff is rude, the lady in the diagnostics billing department was literally watching a movie while i was standing with my lab order. I had a urine test scheduled for the next day which she read on the prescription and ignored and i had to come back and remind her to give me a collection bottle. Hallways are so small, it always looks crowded. Some of the doctors and staff dont even have the decency to close the door during a consult. They like to squeeze every bit of money they can, even the cafeteria is a scam- 70rs for a coffee.

Hospital is really good for Delivery and Child care. My son born on 4th June 21. All the stuffs and nurses are well trained for handling the Mother and child both. And Facility and infrastructure wise hospital is really well equipped specifically for Child health. Even if before admitting to the hospital some of my friends suggest that bill will be huge, hospital charges unnecessary bill, fake bill for Covid cases, baby unnecessary bill, like that rumors but at the time discharge I am getting proper bill which is expected and no hidden charge or no wrong bill hospital were made. Me and my wife are really happy with the services provided by the hospital.

Because of covid they are not allowing anybody in except one person per day. The result is that relatives have to wait outside on the road without any seats and that includes little children as well. At the same time they allow cars into the driveway where children now have to be. The unthinking nature of these measures can only be attributed to an uncaring management. So if you see the word care in their name, know that they do not deserve to use it now.

Bit crowded,. But in the heart of the city with a good chunk renounced doctors. I went there for the first time but have heard about way 4 to 5years back. Very clean but the staff over ther have forgotten smiling and they work very mechanically, they have forgotten that they work for patients and if they are so much in stress then what will happen to the patients entering the hospital with so much of pain. I do not blame the staff over ther but feel that this might be because of less number of staff haired by the management and they work in tremendous pressure. Over all the place is good but could be mare if they had good space and good smiling staff

Experience was very bad. Nurse are untrained, the doctor who has done the I’v to my 9 month old it’s very bad, they will not allow anyone to see how they are doing it, they will tie the kid with belt and put pillows on their feet and them scared. It’s breaks my heart. IF ARE GOING THERE TO TREAT YOUR BABY BE CAREFUL , TRY TO GET INSIDE WHERE THEY ARE DOING IV. The nurse they are so bad you can’t imagine. They are so careless you can’t even imagine. My baby boy was admitted in paediatric ward 4 Th floor. I have added some pictures. They will charge you high.

Even though its my 3rd pregnancy with this hospital as it is considered the best for.mother and childre . The quality and management is deteriorating. They dont have enough machines and doctors. They keep pregnant mothers waiting for hours. They should be having comfortable seating atleast for mothers. But that is only for show on the ground floor. The diagnostic centre has wooden benches Without any back support. Imagine how could you sit on those for 3 hours and more waiting for your turn.

Best treatment, facilities and services in town. Had a memorable experience as we had our child born here. All the staffs are very helpful specially the doctors and sisters. They took very good care of the mother and child. Though the charges are on a higher side but considering the services they provide it's worth the money. They are equipped with all the modern equipments and best hospital for maternity and neonatal care.

This is a long review, but I have tried to cover all details of my experience, be it good or bad. Admission & Discharge - Both procedures were smooth and didn't take much time. Labour room - As I had an emergency c-section so I was rushed first into the labour room. The toilet of the labour room was dirty and the curtains had blood stains on them. This is completely unacceptable considering the amount they charge. Also, I was asked to change into the OT gown and as my water had broken so the entire bathroom floor was covered in that and my feet were completely wet. I was asked to come out like that and I was worried that I might slip. Upon asking twice to give a mat to rub my feet on, the nurse placed a towel on the floor. OT - The OT experience was good and all the doctors, including the anaesthetist and paediatrician were explaining each and every step. Room - The room was basically clean but they gave a torn bedsheet for the attendant's bed and on 2 occasions the patient gown was torn. Again unacceptable considering the charges for the room. The nurses on the floor were helpful and would come in within minutes of calling and answered any query I had. Food - The food was fine but had too much sugar. This was rectified once I gave this feedback to the dietician. Though I didn't get a chance to confirm with the staff, but on all days the soup was either packaged soup or had too much cornflour in it. It definitely didn't taste like fresh soup. NICU & SCBU - I was mostly disappointed with this. As my baby was premature so he had to be rushed to NICU immediately after delivery. The NICU and nursing station nurses were highly non responsive and rude. For a first time mom whose baby was rushed to NICU, I expected more empathy and information from the nurses. I had to ask for each and everything, and the responses were very short and the nurses were behaving as if they were doing a favour by answering my simple queries (eg. can I touch my baby?) They had a big confusion regarding which gown to wear when entering the NICU and I ended up wearing a different one everytime and got reprimanded multiple times because they were confused. Comparatively the SCBU nurses were responsive and courteous. But for both NICU & SCBU they didn't allow any type of skin to skin or even allowed me to carry my baby. It was long after that I realised that they are bound to let the mother have some skin to skin with the baby. Also, for both in NICU & SCBU, the nurses seemed overworked and that speaks volumes about how the money that we are charged is being used. Lastly, there's absolutely no communication from Neotia's end when the baby is in NICU or SCBU. You have to constantly go there and keep asking the status of the baby. They did phototherapy for my baby, which was perfectly fine, but should have at least been informed. Feeding - They force mothers to go to a different floor to feed or express milk through pumping. Only on one occasion, when I had severe breast engorgement and couldn't sleep because of the pain, that they got the pump to my room. As I wasn't allowed to feed my baby, so I had to pump. There was a single pump in the feeding room and everytime I went there the nurses asked me if I had a pump of my own. When you are charging so much, the least I expect is the presence of few breast pumps, rather than me spending several thousands to buy one that I might not need later on. Lastly, I just want to say that Neotia is not a Hotel but a hospital. They can give 5star accomodation (even that wasn't given) but if the basic information about the health of the baby, feeding, etc is so cumbersome then the good food and room don't matter.

I had consulted Dr. Thongram Biju Singh in April 2021 regarding my uterus related problem. In the last week of May 2021, I was in terrible pain relating to the same problem. One of the major issues with this doctor is that he is not accessible even during emergency. Whenever I would try to approach Dr. singh I would be given the number of his assistant either Dr. Suchismita or another assistant to connect with. While connecting with Dr. Suchismita it was never clear that Dr. Singh was aware of my problems. All this was going on when I was in so much pain that I was having to take two pain killer injections morning and evening. I was at my wits end and I wanted to talk to doctor and get clarity and comfort regarding the next step of treatment. Even though this information was very clearly given to Dr. Suchismita still Dr Singh would not make himself available to me despite the fact that I was in terrible pain and was an emergency. She would simply say that you get hospitalized with no clarity on what would be done next. I was not even sure if the doctor knew what was going on. I wanted to know from Dr Singh why were they advising hospitalization and what procedure or surgery would he perform thereafter. In the midst of my pain and confusion, my husband wrote a long message to Dr Singh on his mobile number giving him the details of all that I was going through and inquiring from him as to what was he intending to do during hospitalization. On getting this message Dr. Singh called me and expressed a lot of anger. Then he admonished and insulted my husband for a good 20 -25 minutes and then refused to speak to my husband. Dr Singh only spoke to me. This is very strange as any decision regarding hospitalization and surgery had to involve both my husband and me. He suggested either a hysterectomy or a mirena insertion without giving any guidance as to what would be a better option for my problem. He was furious because we messaged to him directly (even in an emergency situation). His lack of empathy and human behavior is appalling. I would say that he is an egotistic person, who has no sympathy for his patients. I would not recommend him to anyone, not only because of his beastly behaviour but also due to his lack of availability. Plus I did not see any professional guidance coming from him either.

Please don’t fall prey of this hospital or it’s doctors if they have promised on a NORMAL VAGINAL DELIVERY. They will betray you lifetime on that and force you for a unnecessary caesarean. Please please don’t think of food or beautiful interiors of each room. You are here for treatment / child delivery aid and not a vacation. Please check my Twitter handle @Tan43728788 for my experience at Neotia. I cant see my reviews here in case I am attaching any screenshots. #UnneccessaryCsection

The doctor (Dr Shakuntala) was really knowledgeable & nice and therefore decided to get my wife’s procedure conducted here. To my utter surprise (rather disappointment & disgust) the hospital authorities have absolutely no sense of hygiene. 1) Could not believe post surgery, a cleaner on duty (& while mopping the floor) and the lift man were asked to shift my wife to her bed ??? Forget about respecting a female patient’s right to be asked if she would permit to be attended by a male attendant. 2) non of the nurses (& of course the cleaner and the lift man too) had gloves or masks on 3) the corridor was stinking from the food trays that were left outside the rooms perhaps for more an hour till I had asked them to be removed. I am sure this wasn’t the first time rather a regular practice here. I am writing this note so the next patient is saved from risks that a post surgery patient is exposed to in this hospital. This note is to remind the hospital authority of the very purpose of a hospital. I SINCERELY HOPE THE HOSPITAL AUTHORITIES TAKE SERIOUS NOTE.

Everything is good at Bhagirathi Neotia except the waiting arrangements for patient family members. This is a maternity special hospital and it is very obvious that patient's parents will be waiting anxiously for hearing good news from their daughter. But sadly, the management doesn't pay hid to this area. It's tough to believe that such a big nursing home can't arrange for seating arrangements of 15-20 people. I understand that pandemic is going on and all, but now a days almost all of the 60+ people have been vaccinated and they should be offered proper seating arrangements by the manegement.

A hospital with zero capability of emergency situation post delivery. My wife got into Post pertum eclampsia after 48 hrs. of C-section and due to that she got extreme breathing problem and sudden rise of Blood pressure. She had to be admitted to ICU and the hospital has zero capability to support the patient. Doctor had to transfer her to another hospital in the midnight which was another pain part for the patient. I would not recommend this hospital for any maternity cases as I had very tough and painful experience. Also this hospital always charges everything in actuals and they don't have any PPN package facility, due to which their bills are very high. I would recommend any other hospitals like Apollo, Medica, AMRI etc. for maternity purpose where patient will get immediate attention in case of post delivery complications.

I enjoyed my stay there. Service was awesome. Extremely concerned and helpful nurses. Food was amazing. Loved the way new mothers are trained there. Just have a complaint about the robes that are made to wear, the hospital gowns could be a bit more proper. My child and I were in the safest of hands. All thanks to my doctor, Gitasree Mukherjee and my son's Doctor Ruma Ray.

I consulted Dr. Pulak kole for my 2 months old baby and one thing that disappointed me very much about this doctor is in last 2 months I visited him 2 times and one time on telephone consultation, every time i paid fee but when I asked that can i ask any query on whatsapp?? He told me if you take vaccine from me only then I can reply you otherwise you have to pay 700 every time you ask any thing. What a rude behavior to patients parents who take vaccines from other source. Shameful

A hospital that will surely disappoint you. Nothing ever happens on time, be it the diagnostics or the doctors visit. The nurses are untrained, the staff rude and lying all the time about doctor's timings. With paying so much, you can avail the facility of any other hospital that will surely look after the mother and baby better.

They are good with caring for the mother, but baby care system is very very very poor - the staff is undertrained and the system does not allow for a comfortable post-delivery experience for the baby. They do not follow basic WHO guidelines like allowing the baby to breastfeed within 1-3 hours of delivery; feeding the baby on demand round the clock (babies are not hard wired for schedule, but they are hard wired for feeding). My baby was brought to me after almost 9 hours of my C-section and taken away in less than 3 mins. My baby was wailing but the nurse took her away giving us no chance to bond in the first 24 hours! Every time I asked for the baby be brought into my room (I had a private room, not sharing), they were reluctant and always took her away in 1 hour! I was surprised that they provided zero nursing support within the room and the staff in the feeding room were very rough and did little to help. They would call me into the feeding room every 3-4 hours and allowed me 20-25 mins, but since my baby was sleepy, she would barely feed for more than 5-7 mins actively in one session, so they would give her formula as top up. I hardly spent 3 hours a day during my 5-day stay at the hospital, and she was forced to primarily rely on formula. I did not know any better back then(she is my first baby), but now I can now look back and say the poor practices of the hospital was the primary reason for my breastfeeding woes in the following 3 weeks at home. Also, worth mentioning that our paediatrician was the worst - made no contact with us until the night before the discharge (which also happened because we complained to the management).

I went for my USG pregnancy to Neotia on Rawdon Street and was extremely disappointed by the unprofessional conduct of the sonologist, Dr. Prem Kamani who did my usg. She was not open to questions during the procedure, yet had all the time in the world to yap with the nurse regarding her breakfast schedules, and all this, while holding the probe on my belly. The facilities seemed out dated as well and the room was not clean. The nurse assisting, seemed clueless and unavailable for any assistance. I usually get my pregnancy scans done in Apollo Bypass by Dr. Kanchan Mukherjee of whose expertise and professionalism, the more said is less. Not only is he completely engrossed in the procedure when he is doing this, he explains all relevant details and accomodates all my questions. The room where the procedure is done is impeccably clean and the nurses and staff assisting are helpful and meticulous as well. The reports i received from Apollo for usg pregnancy were far more detailed than the one i received from Neotia for the same scan. It is expected that Neotia, being a maternity hospital, should pay attention to something as important as having a good fetal radiologist and nurses who are empathetic towards pregnant women. USG pregnancy costs 2000 in neotia and 3000 in apollo. I would not mind paying a 1000 more at Neotia if i were to get the same experience here.

Overall a positive experience. The hospital is well equipped with infrastructure and manpower to cater to an expecting/new mother's and baby's needs. The food is great and the staff is mostly very nice and helpful. My only issue will be with a few of the nursery sisters, who do not behave well with patients or their family. Currently (April 2023), there is a dearth of rooms as they are renovating the place so one should consider that before booking. We had indicated a preference for suite or super deluxe, but I had to ultimately stay in a 3-bed ward. I must add that my bed was THE BEST among 3-bed wards because it was towards the front of the building, and the space is almost 1.5 times that of the other two beds in the room with my own huge window (check the photos). It almost felt like a personal room. The number is Bed 307C. If anyone is booking or has to book a 3 bed ward, I would highly recommend getting this bed. Despite the ongoing works, service has been hassle free.

Neotia (mullickbazar branch) I took my baby to emergency for choking hazard on 8th May, 2019 at 9:00 pm. The receptionist was very kind and helpful. The doctor, Rajib Bhawal, who checked the baby was also very humble and calm. He answered all our questions. We are thankful to them. The reason why I am taking away 2 star is because of the nurse who came for the vital signs assessment and to assist the doctor. She was extremely rude and annoying. She came and asked what happened to the baby and even before I could say anything she took us to another room for weighing the baby. Then she placed a thermometer on my child's underarm but the thermometer had some problem, it was not beeping and the baby was getting restless. She only said " ye thermometer ko kya hua" (what happened to this thermometer) Then she went out of the room. After sometimes when she came in, and I showed her the thermometer reading she told in a very rude way "arre bukhar to nahi hai" (there is no fever). After that, while checking the oxygen saturation of the baby, I asked her what she was doing she did not answer. I asked her again she did not reply. I asked her again she did not answer again. The fourth time I shouted at her. Only then she said that I am checking the saturation. She seemed very irritated throughout the time we were there. I do not know her name. There was no name on her uniform but we had a very bad experience with this particular nurse. We were in a panic situation when we left our home as my baby's face was turning blue and he was unable to breath. A nurse like her is a shame to the nursing profession itself. The hospital should keep staffs that should abide by the hospital's motto " A hospital with hospitality." Let "hospitality" actually show in all the staffs working there and not just remain a tagline only on their website.

This is the behaviour they do.

I had my c section there recently under Dr. Gitasree Mukherjee, she is just too good. But the experience with the hospital was horrible and had worst memories of my life. Nothing was good except the dietician and food. The nurses are incompetent, for making the drip channel, they pricked me 4 times, finally it was done in O.T. The hospital dress are not clean enough, seems like they are in use since the hospital was established, colour got faded, the ribbons are not there in most, hence cannot be tied, on asking for a fresh one the nurse replied "how does it matter, wear it from the front, let the back be open".. One nurse while cleaning after O.T. mistakenly opened the Catheter and she had no idea how to put it back again, called 4 other nurses, and they literally struggled leaving me in excruciating pain.. One nurse had such a bad behaviour, she was so rude, refused to help, on asking for anything she showed attitude and unwillingness and repeated how i should have done it myself. One major problem was the dirty washroom. Innumerous issues, where to start and stop. The nurses of the nursery are good, but they refuse to leave the child with the mother, that delayed my lactation, also the child got used to formula milk, and i had a tough time after coming back home to breastfeed my child.

Poor location. No parking facility compared to loot they are making. Poor quality receptionist. They have put trainees at front desk. When asked questions, they play women victim card. Overall not recommended. Only hyped up. Can consider other nursing homes near the same hospital. Since this is only mother and child facility working in this grade so the attitude which they have is like they are working for free.

The hospital has good doctors but the administration of the hospital has a very bad attitude always trying to bluff the patient party. Eg doctor advised to do USG scan of patient for 11 to 13 weeks but the diagnostic department manipulated us to also give sample for blood test which was not at all required. It cost is 3500 INR. This is absolutely unethical business practice and an effort to bluff the patients for money. Not recommended at all Simply disagree with the response of the hospital. The doctor did not ask for the test to be conducted. The receptionist kept on insisting a busy doctor till the point she was irritated and said ok. The test cost us 3500 INT which has no utility in our case and also there is no recommendation from the doctor in writing which makes it impossible to claim the reimbursement from my insurer. This is absolute bluffing.

My sister was provided cold, stale food in the name of a 'seven course meal' and refused two biscuits if we didn't pay for those 'two biscuits' even after the humongous package. The staff didnt even follow the doctor's instructions, left the room immediately when asked to observe, the nurses have been extremely rude and unprofessional. The worst hospital for a new mother.

My grandson was born in Bhagirathi Neotia woman and child care hospital in the hands of Dr Gitasri Mukherjee, an excellent doctor and she performed the delivery perfectly. My grandson was born and we were ecstatic. But the Rahu came as Dr. Tridib Banerjee , senior paediatrician who forcibly appointed Dr Ruma Roy another paediatrician,a chela of Dr Tridib Banerjee. They together took charge removing the paediatrician suggested by Dr Gitasri Mukherjee. My grandson got fever from 31st December 2023night. The fever refused to come down inspite of administering paracetamol. My daughter called Dr Ruma Roy and asked what to do, she advised her to increase the paracetamol dose and cold compress on forehead. Again the fever came back.at.3oclock in the morning my daughter called her and asked her if she could take her to the hospital. She declined and asked her to go repeating the process. The whole day she stopped her from taking the baby to Bhagirathi Neotia hospital. We called Dr Tridib Banerjee also as we had his phone number, he also talked to us casually as if nothing has happened and prescribed Augmentin syrup over the phone. The whole day my daughter called Ruma Roy and she went on misleading her and result was our baby died at 5.30in the evening. What can we do now that we have lost our child ? They are not bothered. But who will punish them. I appeal to the owner of Bhagirathi Neotia hospital to take steps against them. Hope no one goes through this pain of losing a child and also by sheer negligence apathy of the doctors. Please help

Very Bad experience ...rude staff... Went there for hsg... no medicines were prescribed before the test. During the test only one doctor n a staff to assist. This is a very painful test and at least u need 2 people to assist you.what I heard from their conversation they didn't had proper instruments as well. But when I called up Rajarhat neotia.. excellent staff..very polite.. she told me what medicines to take before the test and what all I have to get it with me.

Worst customer care and experience with Neotia New Town. Today, I called the hospital to inform about the issue but no response from their side. I have been transferred multiple times and put on hold now for more than 40 minutes and I had to disconnect the call and they kept the phone just like that on hold. My weight and BP measurement was written randomly by the person without even measuring. I was not informed about the same. Today when I checked the prescription, I found that information in the prescription, however my BP and weight was not taken on that day.

Respected owner , you should do a mystery call to your landline number and see how your receptionist talks and behaves . I called this morning to take an appointment . The phone rings and this lady picks up the line . I said hello she replied saying hmmm. Completely not interested . Immediately transferred the call to another line without even talking. Again a lady comes on line , I said hello her reply was hmm . I mean this is so ridiculous. What kind of tele-callers are hired . I felt so disgusted as if I am trouble by calling and asking for n appointment. I called back so many times to get the doctors name but every time they disconnected the call.

My 1 year son admitted on 13/10/22 under supervision of Dr. Ruma Roy in paediatric ward bed no. 101 diagnosed with acute bronchiolitis, on 14/10/22 he was served stale khichdi at dinner time, khichdi was prepared on afternoon and the same served at night, so it was contaminated. I asked their food inspector but no one available at night shift, next day morning their operations manager named Soniya Roy came and explained some nonsense excuses that khichdi was made earlier when it was served it might be contaminated. My only concern that no one tasted the food earlier while it served to babies, food was complimentary with bed charge so you have to pay whatever stale food they served, they actually least bothered, such a horrible experience.

Very bad experience. Irresponsible administration charged additionally for a day because they could not scan documents properly. It amazes me how such a reputed (joke of a reputation) hospital would not even have a scanner and would scan from mobile phones! Though the medical staff is excellent, these MBAs in administration are destroying the basic intent of a hospital, care and warmth. Ms. Tunuka Ghosh is not the head of operations but appeared more like the head of extortion. She dint give the conversation a fair hearing instead just defended staff from the word go.

I very recently had my hysterectomy done here by Dr. Somajita Chakraborty and if ever doctor and hospital matched each other in excellence then this was it. Their medical facilities, cabin amenities and staff behaviour are all faultless. My special thanks to the dietician whose name unfortunately I missed and Bahnishikha who I was fortunate enough to be attended by. I believe this is definitely a one of its kind institution in Kolkata.

In my opinion this is the best nursing home in West Bengal. The doctors, nursing staffs, management and all workers are very genuine in providing their duties and obligations. Apparently the cost may be a bit high but if compared with other nursing homes, the services that Bhagirathi Neotia provides are value for money. Cleanliness, quality of diet, provided, infrastructure, medical equipment etc all are up to the mark. Specially the paediatrician Dr Chandan Ray is an excellent doctor who treats children with utmost sincererity, devotion and care. I strongly recommend that all parents who can afford, to go to the nursing home and opd for speedy recovery of their children.

I am giving this rating to Rawdon street hospital only, but not to Newtown one. My wife got admitted at Newtown branch of this hospital. Due to one of the issue, I had to call them and by mistake I have dialed the Rawdon street branch, as I didn't know the exact number. I just collected the number from Google only and I thought that is the number of Newtown branch. One lady from reception picked the call and her speaking tone was so rude. I was referring to one of the room number where patient was admitted, which they didn't have in Rawdon street actually. So she was saying how that was possible. She told it must be in Newtown, then I said yes and I asked for the desired contact number. She started saying with rude voice that how I didn't know the number and she can call out only once for me. Anyway she has given the number. Seems like the lady didn't know the hospitality and she is unprofessional. Maybe she is the only person who behaved like this and rest might be good, but this kind of attitude is never expected from receptionist/ admin. On the other side, all the staffs at Newtown branch are so humble and polite. Their behavior are much appreciated and I am pleased with their service. I have given a very good rating for them.

Inspite of calling themselves best hospital, doctors have behavioural or non- responsive issues. As far as hospital is concerned, beware of charges they levy, they charge for basic tolieteries, food even when we choose delux room and initially told they are non chargeable. Excessive investigation charges collected (over and above limit set by WB clinical establishment regulatory commission). So this practise is grossly unjustifiable. I really hope cloud nine and motherhood hospital come soon to Kolkata and end their Monopoly

I am living outside india and while planning the delivery in kolkata , Neotia was my 1st choice for my wife! But i got to know that they are not allowing baby to stay with mother .. which is really unscientific and discouraging! For a new baby it’s always advisable to stay closer to Mother, even in outside county i have not seen this ever! Mother need to walk down to feed her baby?! If this facility made on the name of child care and extra fees then better you should stop it .. i am not considering Neotia for this reason only

I appreciate their behaviour and the perfection of time they give all the medicines or food to the patient. The things that we didn't like there were: 1. The food served was in a small amount. 2. The food quality there was not good. 3. They should represent their budget properly as the budget given by them during my operation was very high due to which the insurance company denied to pay. After that they lowered their budget and the insurance company paid for it. I would like it if they take these points into consideration.

I was recently admitted for a Merina insertion surgery at Neotia! I must say the service from the moment I entered till my discharge day was splendid! The rooms need to be booked in advance as they are almost full everyday. I would like to suggest some improvement in the variety of the breakfast served. Another important highlight would be the nurses talking loudly across the corridor which could be disturbing for patients. The management and doctors are excellent and facilities are well equipped. Am grateful for my speedy recovery! Keep up the good work.

My parents had appointment for health checkup on 6th June. My father registered for full body check up with echo, and mother, for the blood tests only. At the last moment they informed that echo is postponed for a day because the doctor is not available as a result he had to go to the hospital next day again. They told then after the test report doctor consultation will be done within a week which was included in the package. Today it's 22nd of June there is no call we received for doctor consultation and we consulted with another doctor from outside. My mother asked on the wap number which was provided by the office but they didn't replied back. My parents are the registered members of the hospital as a result of this bitter experience I am really worried to send them back for yearly helath check up.

The care I received from Bhagirathi neotia during my first child birth is excellent. I am very grateful for this experience. the Nurses and staff are very efficient- they are attentive and on their toes all the time. They make you feel as comfortable as possible despite the pains and the discomfort you might be going through. Special mention to all the care-givers in the nursery. They do a brilliant job in taking care of the new borns; and teaching the basics to new mothers like me. The food served to the patients is wholesome, tasty and taking care of a patient’s needs- the nutritionist made sure she visit every day to make sure everything is good. The matron and the Operations manager were also very caring. The only con is the cost is premium- they charge you for every small consumable like even the identifier tag they put on your hand. Also there is a huge rush for Deluxe rooms, they don’t have an option of pre-booking your preferred room and they’re allotted only as per the availability during your admission.

The OPD section is always crowdy. I have one suggestion if it may kindly be implemented for the better of both visitors and hospital. Please restrict number of people accompanying the patient, nobody needs the entire family to come along. Two are enough for a kid. Further, even if they are compelled to come along for some reason, the extra family members can be requested to wait at the lobby downstairs and not near the OPD billing counter. Those who genuinely need to sit are seen standing just because others' family members are occupying the seats. Another is that, the assessment(weight/BP)room should not be near the billing counter(1st Floor), but somewhere separate. Everytime the queue for billing and assessment becomes entangled and chaotic. This is becoming a congested hospital slowly.

Great experience! Floor nursers are very polite and prompt, security is helpful, doctors fantastic and clean facilities! Every staff member is willing to help with any questions one may have. The entire process (admission to discharge) was well documented and explained and charges were also very fair.

They have no respect or basic manners to talk to patients and their guardians. They don't care if it's a senior citizen or kid or anyone. They think...
