Want to breathe a bit of fresh air?? Want to go into or above the clouds?? Then pack your bags and start trekking before the sun rises. Don't forget to take water with you. The trek is very easy and like climbing steps unless you a take the wrong path and climb the straight path of less slope like me. Once you reach the top, It feels like the world is under your feet. You can see Putsil and Damanjodi at a distance. I would suggest find a stone to lay down, cover your eyes, play your favourite music and relax like their is no tomorrow. Please don't throw your plastic or other waste here.

Deomali mountain peak, in the Chandragiri-Pottangi subrange of the Eastern Ghats, is the highest peak in Odisha. It is surrounded by deep green forests and dotted with brooks and deep valleys. One can find a rich variety of flora and fauna.

Deomali is literally a heaven. We went there in the month of September and the place was covered with clouds. I never saw anything that beautiful. It is still untouched and unpolluted. Hope the tourists save this place and leave it as it is. Its the highest peak in Orissa and border of Andhra Pradesh. Access is easy from Saluru. But there is a marvellous route from Araku which is a bit difficult and should be very careful as the route is remote and the roads are not safe.

Deomali Peak, with an elevation of about 1,672 m, is the highest peak in the state of Odisha. It is situated near Doodhari village, Pottangi Panchayat division which is about 70 km from Koraput via Semiliguda. I have travelled from jeypore to Deomali, distance is 95 km from jeypore. Best view we have saw.

Deomali, the highest peak of Odisha, is a beautiful destination with stunning scenery around the hill. While the government could do more to develop the area, it is still worth a visit for those who enjoy nature and hiking. The mountain peak is located in the Chandragiri-Pottangi subrange of the Eastern Ghats, and it is near Koraput town in the Koraput district of Odisha. The area is also home to unique flora and fauna, such as the recently discovered frog species, Fejervarya deomolica, described from the Deomali Hill range of southern Odisha, in Eastern Ghats. #must-go

The beautiful mountain peaks has my heart over there. Must visit during winter time. This is also a picnic spot. During our visit the winds were just gustling over and over. For a moment the clouds were covering the mountains. Need to trek 1km from watch tower to reach the 0km board. From there the view is just breathtaking. Parasailing activity is present over there. Needs to be cleaned and maintained properly.

Best place for camping and stargazing. A must visit place to enjoy the breathtaking views during sunrise and sunset. From the month February 2021 one have to take permission from pottangi police station to stay on the hill for night camping. A notice was placed at the view point do check the attached picture.

Breathe taking view. Amazing and pleasant place for a good break. One should carry food and water nothing available and you cant expect good food in midway. I drove via Salur and Kotia. Some extent of road is great and initial extent of road is okay and worse. Night drive not suggested.. Best part of the place sunrise and sunset. Note: please carry a bin bag. Don't litter there. Sad part is the main spot is full of plastic waste. Visitors coming very prep for night stay but not feeling responsible for their trash. I seen many visitors just throwing waste all around. Spoiling the view. " Nature doesn't need us, we need Nature". So please be responsible for your waste while visiting such isolated places.
