Really friendly staff. The food was good and there was a really nice view över the water. The rooms are nice and clean and have a fair amount of space. I reccommend giving this hotel a go. Outside the hotel is also some sight seeing to do.

Very nice and romantic place. Despite of its age, the hotel has all you need, good service and excellent restaurant and breakfast.

Initial contact with reception - great! From arrival bad. Apart from the mini relax where the lady in charge was very service minded and lovely. Aside from that, not impressed with the staff not helping us with the parking as promised. The reception lady on duty (in her 55-65s was alone without any help and seemed REALLY confused and rushed and could not help half of the people in the reception area. Also, my exclusive Hermes bags were left unattended at the corner beside the reception where anyone could have stolen them and no valet was there to help. No room for us in the restaurant (guests should have priority and there should always be tables available for hotel staying guests in my opinion). After dinner elsewhere (recommended by the hotel but no the standard we expected), we returned to the hotel bad where both of us were refused to order half a glass of champagne (offered to pay for a full one) and the other one a rum and coke as the waiter ASSUMED one of us was too tipsy (drunk). One of us was jet-lagged, neither was drunk or even tipsy. Freezing cold room with no extra blankets. Tiny bathroom. We checked out before breakfast as I couldn't stand staying in the hotel a second longer than was needed to sleep off my jet lag. Huge disappointment and I would not recommend anyone other than the lady in reception (Annika I believe her name was) whom I dealt with prior to arriving.

The food was absolutely delicious and the glass of wine was way above normal levels which was great for the expensive price of 150kr per glass. Would recommend it to a friend especially because the staff was so nice and a very different type of people than in Stockholm.

The place is elegant and comfortable with a touch of 1900 style. It has a restaurant with delicious food. The vegetarian dishes were exceptional good, elegant and very tasty. The staff is very good, helpful and kind. There is tea and coffee always in a room with almond and raisin chocolates. At tea time pastry is also delicious!!! It has a very nice view to the lake too. The rooms are big and very comfortable.

Lingonberries, mashed potatoes, gravy, and meatballs is a perfect flavor combination the Vikings must have pillaged from Valhalla itself. I understand you can find this dish other places in Sweden but you shouldn’t. You should have it here at the 1909 Sigtuna Stadshotell. The food is excellently prepared and the staff is more than capable to recommend a wine pairing from their vast selection. After a few glasses of wine, why not stay the night? My single room is small but comfortable and has everything I need. I have been treated like their most important guest by all the staff from the moment I walked in. I highly recommend this hotel and restaurant. Today I am here for business but next time I will stay here for pleasure.

The hotel was lovely situated with great views. The hotel was cozy and we had a nice couple of days in Sigtuna. In general the experience was delightful but a few things did not live up to the expected standards, which lowers the rating from 5 to 3 stars. More details below: The service: - In general the service was great (especially in front desk, during breakfast and at the bar), but with one significant exception. The 3 course dinner that we hade to pre-order was totally inflexible, even though we decided weeks ahead and was less than 10 people we all had to choose the same three course dinner, which resulted in half of our company having to eat dishes that they did not at all prefer. In addition to this the service within the restaurant was below expectations, especially considering the 5 star status. Orders were misplaced and people were forgotten when taking drink orders. Regarding the rooms: - In general the rooms were nice, however the quality differed a lot in terms of size, views and equipment depending on what room you got (even though they were all the same price category). Our room did not have an AC (which we would have needed given the temperature in the room), but some of the rooms did. - In a five star hotel I would expect the rooms to be cleaner (we found hairballs in the corners, an dead bugs that was stuck in the blinds) Apart from this, a great place to visit.

This hotel is great despite that it's from the beginning of 1909 the interior has been modified . The outside part is so good with their own BBQ smoking unit. And great view of the lake. Highly recommend if you haven to be in Sigtuna

Got stuck in Arlanda for 10 hours and was offered this hotel - absolutely worth the unexpected layover! Sigtuna is an adorable city and nestled at it's heart is one of the most wonderful hotels I have ever stayed at! The staff were very accommodating, the room was gorgeous and the view breathtaking! SAS are welcome to rebook me in the future if it means staying here!

Really nice hotel in Sigtuna. The view form the dining room over the lake is amazing! I have been there for a company offsite and I appreciate the kindness of the staff, the rooms to work in group always with cozy views and food was also super good. If you stay in Sugtuna, this is the place where to go. Highly recommended!

This is a lovely hotel smack in the middle of town. It sports an ambitious restaurant, a somewhat middling bar (this could be Corona-related, but their single offering of beer on tap was uninspiring to say the least), a stunning view of the lake, and a very nice patio. The standard of the rooms is high, even if some of them are very cramped.
