When in Labasa, please dont stay in the old wing. Very poor condition for deluxe rooms. Poor customer service at the reception when we checked in. No pillow cases in pillows. The room stinks and bathroom shower curtain is about 8 years old. The shower curtain is mouldy. Outdoor resin furniture is kept inside the room. White bed linen has turned brown. No spoons provided to make tea/coffee. We asked the reception for spoons they gave us plastic spoons. We even had to ask for coffee and tea bags. This was supplied as ration. Fridge is about 20 years old. Grand Eastern is no longer the pride of Labasa. The towels must be about 10 years old. No bath mats provided. Very disappointing stay at this hotel. Never staying here again. This hotel is not hygienic at all. Very dirty place and cleanliness is below basic level. The floor in the room is dusty and dirty. You cant walk bare feet in the room.

Honestly, I won't even give any stars. The rooms are dirty. Toilet is leaking. No hot water. Water flow from the shower in slow. The towels and sheets arw stained. Upon complaining there is no adequate response. Air conditioning is poor. Remote doesn't work properly till we bang it a few times. Worse of all.....there is noise of men drinking, swimming and yelling all night. Definitely not a place to stay with kids. Do not recommend and WILL NEVER RETURN.

This place owner is Fijis sugar cane minister Mr Charan Jeet Singh, booked a room for 2 days with credit card confirmation and it was confirmed, upon reaching, there was no details of reservation and fully booked, communication problems, it’s a good way of knowing how the Minister is organised, and if minister can’t organise his own system than running a government will be a disaster, hope the Minister fix his system first, feeling sorry for cane farmers.

Honestly I would even not give this hotel a 1 star. During our recent stay, we were appalled at the level of cleanliness and maintenance in this hotel. The bathroom was particularly unhygienic. The shower curtain was visibly stained and covered in mold, which made it feel completely unsanitary. The tiles in the bathroom appeared grimy, and there was no evidence of proper cleaning or upkeep. The toilet area was equally disappointing, with the floor looking neglected and dirty. The sink area was another problem—water pooled around the counter, and it was evident that this space had not been properly maintained. Towels were used to soak up water on the floors, which made the situation even worse. Overall, this experience did not meet even basic cleanliness standards, and we were extremely dissatisfied with the state of the accommodations. Improvements in cleaning practices and regular maintenance are urgently needed. Our stay at this hotel was deeply disappointing. Beyond the filthy bathroom, the bedding was stained and emitted a musty smell, which made it impossible to feel comfortable. It was clear that proper cleaning and hygiene were not a priority here. When we brought these issues to the attention of the staff, their response was dismissive and rude. Rather than addressing our concerns, they seemed uninterested and unwilling to help, which added to our frustration. Between the unclean environment and the unprofessional attitude of the staff, this stay was an unpleasant experience. We would not recommend this hotel to anyone unless significant improvements are made.

A suitable place for business stay overs- A fair warning car - park gets full as the hotel packs it's car park with its own rentals. Rentals cars should be stationed somewhere else, leaving the car park for customers.

Basic hotel but best place in Labasa. Staff all lovely and food good. Nice bar with reasonable selection of drinks. Good pool which was clean and we sat around the pool each afternoon. We come to Labasa for work and will always come back to stay here. Too is book a luxury room.
