Gomti Lake is a holy spot and the largest lake in the village of Vadtal in Kheda district and a regular hangout spot for the locals. As the day comes to a close, the lake is lit up with colourful lights all around its periphery. It makes for an amazing sight. The lakeside is well developed and is perfect for strolls, especially in the evenings. As indicated by the Mahabharata legend, Bhimsen, on a trip with Sri Krishna, cut open a little pool of new clean water into an extraordinary lake for the advantage of the withdrawal occupants and woods creatures. Spreading over a territory of 230 hectares inverse the Dakor sanctuary, it is named after the stream Gomti from Dwarka. The three fundamental banks of Danknath Mahadev, Kaleshwar Mahadev, Bhattji Maharaj are notable. Another essential one is Makhanio Aro, known for the visit of Lord Ranchhodji, who rested at this place on a voyage from Dwarka and was offered spread with sugar by Gangabai. Numerous explorers likewise pay regard to the seat of a Muslim holy person on the banks of lake Gomti. Today, this lake is additionally an appreciation for go sailing and encourages turtles. The Ranchhod Rai Temple also in the Lake complex. For those looking forward to some action, there are plenty of options to choose, a place of natural scenery surrounded by picturesque trees. Since boating facility is available here, it also serves as a picnic spot, and plenty food stalls available in the vicinity. Now days, lake popular for turtle feeding, and visitors can buy food for turtle from nearby stores.

An excellent place as a side visit and the main place to visit is Dwarakadhish Temple Dakor. Plan yourself to visit in the morning before 11am or at evening after 4pm.

With such a divine and historical temple nearby, this lake has it's own beautiful story associated with it. But due to less awareness and no maintenance, this lake is truly stinky and full of dirt! Govt should start a drive and clean it regularly...
