Total rip off. They refuse to give you the free sim, and tell that they have only plans starting from 35 FJD. They also ask 5 dollars for the trasport card that is supposed to be free. Avoid!
DO NOT GET THE SIM CARD HERE. At town for 16 dollars you 110GB. They charged me 70 for 175GB. Everything at the airport is a scam.
Overpriced
Yes, it is more expensive to buy a SIM / plan at Nadi Airport than other locations but for me, it was fine. It only took 5 minutes and $35F and I was on my way with what I needed for my short stay. Happy with the staff in the shop but the coverage in Suva wasn't very good.
An employee offered me only option to buy 35$ package, and when I asked about free SIM card and a recharge option she said its only available in town shops. Complete ripoff. Shameful selling techniques of Vodafon employee.
Employees are nice, but they charge much higher than the normal prices. If you have enough time I'd recommend going to the Vodafone shop in town where they sell SIM cards at regular prices. We wanted data only. At the airport they had 12 GB for 70 FJD. Same data volume is 29,50 FJD at regular price including SIM card or you can also get less data volume in the city centre for less money.
Can't make local calls anymore when though I supposedly have 100 minutes remaining. What a joke.
Convenient Tourist Sim Experience I recently purchased the $35 tourist sim from Vodafone Fiji Airport as advertised on their website. Although the timing on Google Maps was a bit off, I managed to find the Vodafone store open beyond the listed hours. The staff were helpful; a lady assisted me in replacing the sim, and it activated almost instantly. The process was smooth and hassle-free. Highly recommend for easy and quick connectivity in Fiji!
Extremely overpriced, bought a sim card for 100 Fiji Dollar. My plan bought similar plan for 30 Fiji Dollar from Digicel! Also, my data doesn’t work most of the times while his works perfectly fine. Rather choose Digicel, 3-4X cheaper and better networks!
Purchased a bus card from 2 very nice women. I told them we'd be in Fiji for about a week. We were concerned that we wouldn't use the whole balance but were assured we could get a refund on the remaining balance. So now, it's time to go home, and I'm being told that permanent cards cannot be refunded. ANYWHERE. Customer service is saying that a permanent card is the ONLY option, and it can NOT be refunded. The website Q&A section suggests that tourists get a temporary card on the bus that can be refunded in cash. We were told no such thing when we purchased ours. So we are stuck with a permanent card that we paid $5 for, and a balance of about $75 that we won't ever be able to use. If visiting Fiji, don't bother with the bus. Just arrange for other transportation, or rent a car.
Despite advertising it on their website, there is NO free SIM card. You have to buy one of their packages, which start at 35$. Scam.
It's true, they are actually lying to you when purchasing e-transport card. They tell you that it can be returned for a refund, which is absolutely not true. So think hard about how much you really need or top up along the way. If you run out, you can always pay with cash on a bus. Thanks to other contributors, I was able to avoid excessive loss.
I recommend getting your sim card from one of the Vodafone shops in Nadi town. I paid 15 Fijian Dollar for a 14 days data package with 60GB. It’s without national or international calls but most taxis use what’s app to communicate.
