The pond needs some real care. There is a nice temple and park area to stroll around though keeping it clean seems challenging its well maintained.

Kamal Pokhari (Lotus Pond), which was registered in a person's name and is located in Bode of Madhyapur Thimi Municipality in Bhaktapur, has been retrieved and restored to its original state. The pond, popularly known as Palewan Pukhu, covers 15 ropanis of land and was previously covered in grass. However, thanks to the municipality and the villagers, it has now regained its former appearance: a lovely lake with water that is crystal pure. The residents had no idea that the 300-year-old historic pond, which had been recognized in 1974 by the then-Bode Village Panchayat-6 under the name Kanchi Podini, would be transformed into a lovely pond.

This place has higher potential to attract the visitor but beauty of pond is runied so need proper cleaniess and protection.

This place is struggling for its existence and no more goes by its true name with the lack of the pond which once existed. The location is facing court battle for ownership as it has been encroached by land mafias.
