A must visit place . It is highly well maintained and hygienic. It offers great scenic view for tourist attractions. The culture of Assam is preserved in a very nice way . The tickets are ₹100 for each person. Can spend the whole day here.

Nice place to spend your evening. Very scenic place...with a beautiful garden..and the river view of Brahmaputra. Photographers and selfie lovers will like the place Kids will love it..there are swings and a small play area also. Starbucks is present at this location. Visitors are supposed to pay a fee of Rs. 100 per person or Rs. 20 if you visit Starbucks and share the receipt of the order of Starbucks.

A well managed place. Nice to visit. Though the tickets cost 100/head, once you are inside you feel the value of ticket well spent. Food are costly inside. Now they are only accepting cash in ticket counters. Parking available for cars and bikes, and its free. Lots of things to see.

It's a lovely and wonderful place to visit.A marvelous tourist attraction of North East. The best part there is parking space although not large area or else in a place like panbazar parking would have been a problem . Entry fee could be minimized to Rs.50/- and it would be highly appreciated if there is entry fee waiver for students and senior citizens. Best time to visit is in the evening when the area is lit up. Monday it remains closed ,other days visiting hours are from morning 10am -8pm in the evening .A canteen is there but prices are quite high .u get stuff like coffee, cake moms etc. This site was earlier the DC official residence bungalow. A must visit place .

A well known place in Guwahati city. This place was renovated at the old DC bungalow. Situated along with the river Brahmaputra, anyone can experience a scenic view of the river. Now this bungalow is converted into a museum where anyone can have a basic knowledge of Assam and Assamese culture. I can say that this was the best relaxing and calming place in the city. Starbucks is also located inside this place. On weekends it's mostly crowded. I feel like ticket fees are a bit expensive, per adult 100 rs. Otherwise it's a must visit place.

It's a very beautiful place with a lot that tells us about the tribes and cultures near and around the river Brahmaputra in this state. The serenity that's around the whole campus is something one should experience at least once so I would recommend everyone to go and visit there once. Everything is so well maintained and i hope they keep it that way in years to come. The heritage itself has so much to offer and teach us a lot about the tribes near the river Brahmaputra and their cultures

Best place in guwahati right now. Lots of history.. The scenic beauty of Brahmaputra can be enjoy with cappuccino & pastry. Playground for kids to enjoy their time.. The museum is beautiful. Two things I found very annoying - 1). The ticket is Rs 20 par person but the person giving the ticket demanded Rs 100 without giving any explanation. After asking repeatedly than also he did not told us. (Later inside we found that Rs 100 was d museum tour) 2). The only washroom is inside the museum. Not even in Starbucks. So if u want to use the washroom, you have cut Rs 100 ticket or-else you have to go back & cut it. So anyone taking children with them, ensure you cut Rs 100 ticket. Management should ensure a public toilet inside the premise.

This is a beautiful and well maintained place. I really loved the invaluable pieces of Assam's history. Also there is a local store called lahe lifestyle inside that sells local crafts and food. Bought some tea from there and it was great. Plus the environment is really nice. However I feel the entry fee is too much but if you are interested in the history it will be worth it.

Situated along the Brahmaputra River, the Brahmaputra River Heritage Centre proves to be a picturesque destination. Our Sunday evening visit, with an entry fee of Rs 100 per person, was a delightful experience. This place offers beautiful pedestrian walkways, an Art Garden, an old Heritage Bungalow showcasing Assam's culture, an open-air Amphitheatre, Cafes and viewing decks overlooking the river that creates a refreshing sensory landscape. A must-visit for tourists exploring Guwahati.

This is what our ahom was , is and will be. What a beautiful place. What views and what shanti. I have visited a lot of places in the world and this is up there with the best places anywhere in the world.. There are some places still available for maybe setting up a cultural community expression space and the views are a billion dollars. Hats off to the visionary who thought about it and then the designer who designed it and then people who built it . Love it. Parking is a iffy at the moment but it will be better soon..

The location is perfect. It's romantic. Spacious and has great seating arrangement with the view for a nice cup of coffee, both outdoors and indoor. Two coffee shops. Entry tickets are charged 100 rupees for adults. Tickets are available till 8.30 pm . The most important thing is the preserved heritage of the Assam-type Bungalow and the insight into these houses and why these are better earthquake resistant than the concrete jungle that we have built in the modern day.

Its good to visit the place as you can have the view to the river Brahmaputra, along with the smallest river island Umananda and ropeway passing over the river. The site is a heritage place with Culture Heritage of Assam is preserved in a museum with showcasing different valuable and cultural link of its people. The presentation of people of Assam in a good way with down the historical events. One can see the first Assamese journal 'The Orunodoi' published in January 1846 and printed by Baptist Missionary Press from Sibsagar with American Baptist Missionary, NATHAN BROWN ,as its first editor. The Heritage Site is Partnered by TATA with Starbucks, the presence of Starbucks inside the heritage add a place for refreshment in your visit. The place is visited by person of every age as the place is friendly and enjoyable to all. The guards and heritage assistant are near round for your any help you seek. The beautiful garden is occupied by various flower and their blossom makes it more charming. There is also and Amphitheatre in it capacity may be up to 50 for any events. The evening lights add many more artificial glamour to place. The day time visit is more exciting as one can see all side of the river and in night it has another exciting view. The Entry Fee For Adult: Rs100 for Heritage / Rs20 for Starbucks. It overs free entry for Children age 1-10 and Senior Citizen that's a good step in being Citizen friendly. The maintenance of the park is good and its people will welcome you wholeheartedly. Not a pro reviewer just trying to add Thank you.

Amazing place to go with friends and family. As simple picnic or a date or even to get inspired to paint. The sunset is the best time visit and a 100% not to miss. Very scenic and calm although gets too crowded sometimes. And yes do watch out for bats. They're everywhere out there in the sky.

The very experience of visiting the place feels surreal. If you reach right in time to watch the sunset, and wait a little further till the lights are on, the sheer beauty and ambiance of the place will leave a lasting impression in your memory. Collections are well curated and very artistically arranged. Simply hoping that every visitor respect the hard work that went into making this Museum and treat it with respect and civility, without causing any destruction.

A very well kept place which shows the amount of hard work put into the whole place The collection in the museum is beautiful, unique and needs to be seen to get a glimpse into the past. The scene of the river and the sun setting is breathtaking. The fact that all the tribes too have been included in the display shows the thought put into it. Must visit

Very beautiful place for seeing the final glimpse of the sun before sunset. During dry seasons the great brahmaputra gets small so you can walk near the sea shores and enjoy the view.

Beautiful place. Just by the majestic Brahmaputra, this organized and clean spot could be a great choice for a date or a cup of coffee with your parents and friends. Has an elaborated museum which takes through a brief section of Brahmaputra's historical significance in Assam. Has one of the nicest Starbucks outlet and another coffee shop inside. Definitely recommend 🤌

Good place to enjoy the evening, Entry fees is 20 for just Starbucks and 100 for entering heritage center+Starbucks. Is heritage center worth 100rs per person ? Nop. It's good, informative but 100 is still little high. Best for family. It have another coffee shop other than Starbucks, play place for children's also.

Well maintained and contains lots of antique items with a rich history. View in the evening for Sunset is awesome. Nice place to hangout with family and friends specially in evening. There one issue is parking space is little far from the main entrance but that too is free.

This is a wonderful place to take your kids to. It is well-maintained. There's a kids play area with swings and a rock climbing net. It also gives you ample opportunities to click wonderful pictures of yourself and your loved ones. There's a mini amphitheater, a Starbucks outlet and enough space for you to just sit and relax by the river side. The highlight for me was the DC-bungalow turned into a museum. Do read everything that has been put up to come out with an enriched knowledge about Assam and the beauty it beholds!

The entry fees is Rs. 100 which I think is quite higher. But this place is relaxing. You can go there in the evening time and have a sip of tea or coffee by sitting in the view deck through which you can get a beautiful view of the Mahabahu Brahmaputra.

  • 5/5 Amrita D. 1 year ago on Google
Enjoyed the evening in the river heritage….in the bank of the Brahmaputra river….but I will suggest to visit the place in the day time…then only you can see the beautiful scenic beauty of the mighty Brahmaputra river…..and it’s good to do photography in the day time in comparison to evening and I will also suggest to visit the place during the week days as in the weekend the place was very chaos and u will not enjoy the peaceful scene…overall its a beautiful place…govt of Assam has taken a good initiative to use the place as a scenic beauty

A lovely blend of both nature/scenic views and art-culture. If you’re an art enthusiast or a casual museum admirer, you will enjoy your time here. With Brahmaputra River in all its might as the background, you will find yourself in the midst of a chill (spacious) outdoor atmosphere, a starbucks outlet and a taste of history.

The best place to learn about the culture and history of our city - Guwahati, and the beautiful state of Assam. The interior speaks volumes in forms of pictures and well-preserved items from the British era to the recent past. While the outdoors take pride in its ability to make you feel pne with nature, with a stunning view of the mighty Brahmaputra. It's a must visit for everyone wishing to know more about this beautiful land.

  • 5/5 Muskan V. 11 months ago on Google
A beautiful example of restoring an official building in Public museum. The rustic wooden interiors, pretty lawn and gardens, preservation and display of furniture and artifacts is respectable. The outdoor spaces simply add to the charm acting as a perfect place to view the majestic Brahmaputra River as well as sunset. There's places to sit, play, eat as well roam around. A place for all age groups of people. Easy to locate from main road.

A beautiful and serene place situated at the bank of river Brahmaputra, this place is also known as old DC banglow. An amazing place to spend time with family and friends. The lush green trees and the swift wind of the mighty Brahmaputra will make you fall in love with the place. Starbucks is also situated in this place. You need to buy a ticket of 100 rs to visit the place even if you want to go to Starbucks, only children below 10 yrs and elderly people above 75 yrs doesn't need to buy any ticket. I think 100 rs ticket is a little high. The place is well maintained and also a few games are available for childrens.
