Looking
for
a
customized
tour
of
Sikkim
&
Darjeeling
for
my
brother
&
SIL’s
25th
wedding
anniversary,
I
came
by
Oddessemania
&
communicated
with
Prantika-my
sole
point
of
contact.
She
was
responsive
&
considering
they
were
a
young
startup
I
thought
they
would
strive
to
provide
a
good
experience,
as
assured.
I
booked
a
11D/10N
tour
with
them
on
April
4
(May
16-26).That’s
the
end
of
anything
good
I
have
to
write
about
them.
1)
They
were
unavailable
from
when
the
tour
started
since
they
were
on
a
trek.
They
didn’t
arrange
another
contact
who
we
could
reach
for
info,
help
or
in
an
emergency.
2)
Swift
desire
was
to
be
provided
for
the
tour(for
comfort)
but
got
a
Wagon
R
&
for
the
transfer
from
Gangtok
to
Darjeeling
–
an
Alto!
The
taxi
provider
said
no
such
request
was
made
by
Oddessemania.
3)
They
claimed
to
have
upgraded
us
to
5-star
hotels
(false)
and
changed
hotels
for
reasons
best
known
to
them.
We
found
out
later
that
they
used
Agoda
to
book
base
category
rooms
without
breakfast.
For
the
anniversary
day,
despite
requesting
them
to
book
a
good
room,
they
booked
a
base
category
room
-
tiny
&
no
view.
Hotels
in
North
Sikkim
were
nothing
like
the
pictures
shared
with
us
before
booking!
4)
Though
breakfast
was
included
in
the
package,
Day1
evening,
the
hotel
informed
us
that
it
was
not
included
in
the
booking.
Oddessemania
didn’t
share
the
info.
Does
one
have
to
call
tour
provider
&
ask
about
a
meal?
It’s
embarrassing.
The
last
2d
in
Darjeeling,
they
did
not
arrange
BF
at
the
hotel
even
though
they
committed
to
it!
5)
My
family
didn’t
get
to
visit
some
of
the
sights
in
the
itinerary
because
of
Oddessemania
incompetence.
The
drivers
would
say
either
it
is
out
of
the
way
or
the
sights
were
not
included
in
our
tour,
since
our
tour
operator
did
not
pay
for
it!
6)
We
paid
45%
as
advance,
balance
to
be
paid
after
reaching
the
hotel
on
Day1.
Due
to
events
of
Day1
payment
wasn’t
made.
Day2,
I
emailed
&
messaged
Prantika
for
a
call-to
assure
me
issues
would
be
resolved
&
to
make
payment
-
no
response.
Day3
the
owner
Joy
threatened
to
halt
the
tour
midway
if
payment
wasn’t
cleared,
no
addressing
the
issues.
Post
8pm
I
could
reach
Prantika
for
few
mins
&
trusting
her
assurance,
balance
was
cleared
immediately.
We
never
received
receipt
for
the
same.
I
requested
her
to
be
the
contact
&
not
Joy,
but
that
was
not
to
be.
Joy
was
rude
&
downright
unprofessional.
7)
Day4
was
a
nightmare,
neither
Oddessemania
nor
the
taxi
provider
could
be
reached
(for
hrs)
by
the
taxi
driver
&
us.
My
family
couldn’t
visit
Nathula
pass
due
to
their
mismanagement.
We
had
no
info
about
North
Sikkim
leg
next
day(hotels/driver/time).
Desperate,
I
contacted
the
guide
from
Oddessemania
website.
After
3pm
Joy
messaged
the
contact
of
N
Sikkim
tour
provider.
He
had
his
version
for
the
failed
Nathula
visit
but
refused
to
consider
ours!
Far
from
apologizing
for
his
mismanagement,
he
had
the
audacity
to
blame
me
for
their
incompetence.
He
asked
me
to
stop
calling
their
‘stakeholders’
(taxi
provider/guide)
since
it
led
to
them
&
me
being
confused.
Irony:
Joy
asked
us
to
contact
stakeholder
in
the
first
place!
How
hard
is
it
for
the
agency
to
give
the
client
complete
tour
info
–
tour
provider/pick-up
time/hotel
details/meals
etc.
at
the
beginning
&
share
the
itinerary
with
the
providers?
If
they
did
their
job,
why
would
we
need
to
contact
others
for
info?
Communicated
this
to
Joy
on
WhatsApp
(they
weren’t
professional
enough
to
call
back
despite
numerous
missed
calls).
I
never
contacted
them
again;
enough
stress
&
humiliation.
Issues
continued,
but
neither
my
family
nor
I
contacted
them.
My
brother
&
SIL
were
stressed
through
the
tour
&
I
regret
choosing
Oddessemania
for
them.
The
owners
don’t
understand
the
concept
of
a
customized
tour,
nor
have
the
maturity
to
deal
with
constructive
feedback.
I
have
travelled
to
50
countries;
this
is
by
far
the
worst
tour
service
I
have
encountered.
Oddessemania
ruined
what
was
to
be
a
memorable
holiday
celebrating
a
beautiful
milestone
for
my
family.
