Devoted to the divine lord Shiva, this temple has high importance in the heart of Hindu devotees. very nice nd serene place of Lord Shiva where Pandavas while leaving this world prayed here for their Mukti. Hence the name Mukteshwar. The temple is 1.5 km from the main market and near to Chauli ki Jali, which is another one of the important tourist places in Mukteshwar. Om Namah Shivay The entry to the temple is free.

A short trek to reach the top of the hill and wow you get a gigantic view of the Himalayas. A wind touching your face would make you forget all the ruckus of life and it soothes the nerve. A few activity is setup as well such as zip line etc.

Get yourself blessed and get peace of mind. All the Pandit ji are truly dedicated to their service, no way of making fool of devotees by asking for money. We went on a weekend and there was more rush than usual and we had to park our car near round about. Make sure you are visiting on weekdays to avoid waiting.

The place is beautiful but there is no parking space for lot of traffic. The temple is clean and well maintained but during peak season it’s really crowded and one has to wait for an hour for their turn to visit the main temple. There is also a way that leads to a view point which is beautiful.

Religious place. Scenic beauty. 40 km away from Nainital. Go through Bike, Car, Scooty, Cab. Parking is a little challenge You'll get paid meal ( Avg taste as per me) at the entrance of the temple. There will be big queue so better do the Darshan before doing anything else.

This is a 5000 year old Shiva temple. It is famous among locals and tourists. One must visit the same. Since Mukteshwar is a very small place , there are very few tourist attractions. Parking is an issue thus park your car properly

A must visit place whenever you are in Nainital. Around 40 km from Nainital, this place is a heaven. Mukteshwar temple is very old temple (Pandavas /Mahabharat linked) . Mukteshwar has a very pleasant weather all year around. Even if it is hot in Nainital or surrounding, you will feel so cool in mukteshwar. The devdar forests are so so soothing and beautiful that you will want to get lost. Do visit on 2 wheeler then you will enjoy more . Riding bike in that heaven is an experience in itself. Selfie points tea and Maggie are delicious, do try.

Week day morning visit at about 10 am was in peace, only about 5 to 10 more families in the vicinity. Suggestion for the same is as follows 1. Visit as early as possible during the day as the day progresses, the place gets more and more visitors.

Mukteshwar Dham Mandir is a serene and spiritually uplifting place. The temple's location amidst lush greenery and its peaceful ambiance make it a must-visit for anyone seeking tranquility and a connection with nature. The architecture is simple yet captivating, and the panoramic views of the Himalayas from here are breathtaking. A delightful place to find solace and inner peace.

Although the place has become increasingly crowded with time, it still retains its charm. Malta juice is a must if you are visiting during winters.

A serene environment pervades the mountain temple, enabling hours to slip away unnoticed. For those with a spiritual inclination, this place may truly feel like paradise. However, beware of the guides, as they may charge exorbitantly without justification.

Situated at the top of the mountain, this temple is a must visit for all Mahadev devotees and nature lovers. It takes roughly 3 hours from Nainital to reach here by car. Their is good enough parking place here. The temple has a great view for all nature lovers. You can come here and meditate if you want to get the feel of this place in its true sense.

Really nice place. We took a guide who charged minimal amount and took us via trekking and showed 3-4 nearby places (including its history, stories and other info) and clicked our pics too at the best locations. The temple is small and really liked it. Not very commercialised temple (where you are asked to donate/ offer specific amount of money). Overall, nice experience

Holding back a 350-year old heritage is the Mukteshwar temple in Mukteshwar town, Nainital. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is extremely famous among devotees of Lord Shiva. Situated at a height of 2,312 meters above sea level, this temple is both sacred and beautiful. The Pandavas, during their 12 year-long exile, constructed this temple being Shiva followers, in the hope of getting Mukti or salvation from their troubled life. Every year thousands of devotees and tourists visit the temple to seek blessings and enjoy the excellent panorama this place offers. You can view the splendid snow-covered mountains of the great Himalayan range including Nandakot, Nanda Ghunti, Trishul and Nanda Devi which is India's second-highest peak. Unlike most popular hill stations, Mukteshwar is an unspoiled natural beauty offering a mesmerizing view of the sun-kissed mountain peaks, beautiful-beyond-words sunset. Jim Corbett, the famous hunter and conservationist, once came to hunt a man-eating tiger at Mukteshwar and immediately fell in love with the place. The Mythological Legend about Mukteshwar Temple As per a mythological legend, Lord Shiva killed a demon at this place, granting salvation or Mukti to him. The place is hence believed to be blessed by Lord Shiva and any devotee who comes with utter dedication and faith is blessed with whatever he/she desires. The temple houses idols of Lord Vishnu and Lord Brahma along with a white marble Shiva Linga with a Copper yoni. The Mukteshwar temple is believed to be one of the 18 most important Shiva temples in the world. Things to do in Mukteshwar Mukteshwar, apart from the Mukteshwar temple, is famous for its hanging cliffs locally called Chauli-ki-Jali. This place is famous for adventure activities like rappelling, rock-climbing, hiking etc. You can visit the Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), Orchards of Centre Institutes of Temperate Horticulture-Regional Station which is a vast spread of Deodar or Himalayan Cedar trees. Indulge in peaceful meditation and bird watching at the hilltop.

The temple can be reached from the direct stairs to the temple or through the Chowli Ki Jaali way. The Temple and the surrounding area is breathtaking and the nature here is just awesome. You can spend good time here and at the Chowli Ki Jaali do not forget to sip Malta juice which looks similar to Orange but tastes awesome.

Ancient temple which legend has was promulgated by the Pandavas. Over a 100 steps (LONG) so it's a climb which requires some fitness and faith. However, the temple has a lot of positive energy and the view is worth it all. Holding back a 350-year old heritage is the Mukteshwar temple in Mukteshwar town, Nainital. Beautiful Shiva Temple, located atop of a mountain. You need to walk 7-800 meters to reach the temple (depending where you find the parking) which also includes the staircase to the temple. Right at the entrance of the premises you will find shops serving food and Pooja Prasad. You will also find vendors of seasonal fruits, I had 'Kaafal' for the first time in my life. Fruit has a different aroma and have a real big seed compared to the fruit itself but a must try if you love fruits. You will find Shikanji vendors too and guides who charge 300 INR for a stroll (we never took one). The temple is a high energy point, I could feel the vibration just by facing my palms towards the temple. Although they keep it dirty, it can be managed better I felt like give me an hour and I will clean this mess up. Along the temple there is a cliff below the temple and a vast view of the valley surreal for sure. They have food tapris, picture points and even ziplining (500 pp). I did the zipline and my heart was pounding out of my mouth due to vertigo. You will surely need 3-4 hours to enjoy the beauty of the valley and the magic of the temple. Har Har Mahadev.
