Tortuga Rum Bar Nairobi

Restaurant β€’ Bar

πŸ‘ A nice gem in Riverside. It has amazing cocktails that are really well done. The food is okay, but that will be compensated with the ambiance. I recommend it on Friday night as they have a good live band. A nice Carribbean restaurant in Nairobi. People often mention cocktails, service, amazing, good, experience, ambience,

Basic but pleasant place. Attentive service, good rum cocktails and live music (Friday). The beers’ choice is quite limited.

Lovely experience. Awesome decor and ambience. Extensive choice of different Rums. They also have a decent vegetarian menu, would recommend for bitings/drinks rather than a meal.

Excellent ambience. The food was divine. The bread from the slider crumbles in your mouth. The calamari rings and well paired with the tartar sauce. Had the gin fiz and it was well balanced with lime and grenadine. Definitely coming back

Awesome place to hang out & rewind. As name suggests, wide varieties of rum from across the globe apart from other beverages. Also had a wide range of delectable food options... Specialist in Caribbean food & drinks. Karaoke is also available. My evenings in Nairobi is well catered for.

Looking forward to going back! The atmosphere is so fun, cute and vibrant. I had fish and chips and it was great (hot and crispy on the outside). Their plantain chips are 10/10. ThΓ© live band was perfect, and the rum cocktails delicious.

It is a very cozy and beautiful place in Nairobi where you get delicious Caribbean food and good rum. I must say, I do not experience many places with good food in Nairobi. But here it is! The atmosphere is amazing! Go check it out for yourself or order your food and drinks online. Definitely I recommend it!

Loved their spicy mango rum chicken wings, their Mai Tais (who doesn't love happy hour lol?) Forgot their main chicken dish name but was amaze balls. Also a band was playing on Friday night. Highly recommend for a chilled date night

I love the ambience and the cocktails are great. It was jazz night when I visited. Would have appreciated it if the volume was a couple of decibels lower, but overall it was a great experience. The bitings are superb!

Foreigners beware, I had a bad experience here with a few friends a week ago. We went to one of the quiz nights which was very nice! The service, however, was quite slow and totally overpriced for what we got. The Daiquiris we ordered were basically two sips large and if you don’t buy them during happy hour they will cost you 750 KES each. The food was also way overpriced.

A mostly disappointing experience. After checking out their Instagram page, I was so excited to go there. The parking lot apparently didn't open until 5:30pm so we had to park up at the street. The ambience was lackluster. The seating space was awkward. The music couldn't be played until after 4pm. I thought it would be saved by the food and drink, but no. The rum cocktails were basic. The food was okay. It felt like an uptown ka-local instead of an upscale themed restaurant. The service, however, is excellent! 10/10

Great location, amazing service, brilliant vibes! Nice hidden gem with great live music. The rum tasting paired with 'home made' chocolate is highly recommended. Still working my way through the food menu, but all has been super tasty so far. Kudos to the owners and Tortuga team.

This is one of the coolest places I've been to in 2022, very chill, not too loud, the place is serene and the best part is, how well hidden it is, you don't know it exists until you hit a corner and voila! Its vibrance hits you. The drinks are top notch, the food is amazing and well put together. What made my experience most wonderful was Dallian, who waited on our table... I've never met a more cheerful, ready to serve hostess, ever! From the minute we walked in, she was all smiles, giving genuine compliments and help with the menu and understood exactly what I wanted, when I return, it's 40% her services, and 60% the bar and what is has to offer!
