Good ambience floor found it very slippery. Overall good place to go great swimming pool. Food is highly over priced three prawns for 3,500 but actually they sell you shrimp. If you are a vegetarian this is not a place for you at all. It's a old hotel near town with time better hotels are now available and also reasonable in price

Great service and selection in meals. The breakfast spread is usually my favourite, especially the gluten free corner. Fresh fruits 😍 and the pot of tea🙈 i just love the friendly staff.

The stay at the hotel was very nice and welcoming, your staff are smiling and great you each time you are passing them. Room clean and tidy, food excellent though you could do better by having a buffet offering a variety of food

The service in Serena is first class experience with very well courteous and professional staff. The food was amazing as so were the amenities. They have invested well in their facilities and enjoyed a wedding reception in one of the ballrooms. Not a place to disappoint and I will always recommend the place. If you are looking for first class service and venue, Serena is the place to be

Absolutely worth every penny! The rooms are great, service was impeccable! This is 1 of those hotels packed with so many amenities and entertainment for the guest that you never actually have to leave. It was also well situated, near the centre, so anyone can easily commute around. Again, I must commend the service of the staff at the guest services and concierge. So friendly. Only downside would perhaps be the wifi which is quite flaky.

This place is amazing. One of the best if not the best hotels in Nairobi. The people here are absolutely top notch. The food is so good. The pool is clean. The room is so nice and the bed is so comfortable. The TV has the ability to cast and has so many different options. They have USB charging outlets including the cords. They have US and UK style plugs. The water is very clean and the shower has great water pressure. They even give you some snacks and sodas in the mini fridge in the room! It's very close to Railways Golf course which makes it even better.

My experience at Nairobi Serena Hotel was truly exceptional. The hotel effortlessly combines a warm and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for both family and business. The service was impeccable, and what stood out the most was how unobtrusive and attentive the staff was. The room was pristine, elegantly designed, and exceeded all my expectations. From the cleanliness to the attention to detail, it was a memorable stay. I can't wait to return for another wonderful experience.

The staff was extremely friendly, attentive to guests' needs, joyful in service and patient with any queries we had. The reception was immaculate, right from the entrance. The room service was a delight to experience as well. The room we had had a pleasant view of the foliage below as well as the stunning architecture of Upper Hill. It would be a pleasure to revisit and stay even longer.

Great hotel overall. The rooms are slightly small but I guess ideal for a single business traveler, minimal entertainment in the room via the tv system but the hotel does have plenty of entertainment by the restaurants/bars every evening. Check in and check out is very easy and seamless, the staff are extremely friendly and hospitable. Good choice for a short business trip in and out of Nairobi.

What an amazing moment our clients Claudia and Esther had at this amazing hotel in the City. Very friendly staff, accessible from all points of Nairobi City, great conferencing facilities and not so far from JKIA International Airport. We had a memorable time.

This is a mid size property as it has a large conference center, multiple F&B venues (3 restaurants and 2 bars, one being the pool bar), and a large outdoor pool area. I had lunch and dinner at Cafe Maghreb. Lunch was an extensive and delicious buffet with plenty of vegetarian and non vegetarian items. I had the red snapper for dinner served with rice and vegetables in season and it was all delicious. My hotel room was comfortable and the bed was awesome. Also the hotel is 11 miles away from JRO airport. In the middle of the night it took 20 Minutes to get there. During rush hour at 5pm it’ll likely be an hour drive.

Fantastic! I recently stayed at the Serena Nairobi hotel and I could not be happier. The staff was amazing and attentive even before we booked. They helped us build an itinerary and plan our entire vacation. The hotel was great and the staff treated us like royalty.

One of the best 5 star hotels in Kenya near the University of Nairobi. The facility is well furnished, comfortable and wonderful place for tourists to stay. The staff is very polite and friendly.

The hotel is quite lovely, but I must express my disappointment with the service, which unfortunately felt discriminatory. I patiently waited for nearly an hour, yet no one attended to my needs. I found the attitude displayed by the waiter, Joyce G, to be rather unfriendly. This experience has left me regretting my choice to visit Serena.

We had a great experience at Serena. The staff is personable and world class. The food in the restaurant was delicious. Room service was good. Our room was clean. Great security and wonderful location. Although the hotel is located in a busy area, you don’t notice until you are outside the gates of the hotel. During our stay, there was heavy rain and we heard what sounded like a leak, the staff gave us another room and even took great care of us to make up for the inconvenience. Management went out of their way to find us and make sure that we were pleased. Thankful for our time at the Serena. I would stay here again.

I recently traveled to Kenya Africa on Safari to Amboseli, Mount Kenya area, Olpejeta wild life conservancy, Maasai Mara, and ending our 10 day trip in Mombasa Beach, always staying in a Serena Lodge. Our trip was planned by Rupi Mangat our travel guide and Aloyce Otieno from Serena Hotels. It was a trip of a life time. Our accommodations were the best, food was buffet style always excellent, hotel staff always kind, helpful and accommodating. We enjoyed 2 -3 Safari rides into the reserves per day and were never disappointed. Our drivers were friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. The Serena Staff were always kind and helpful especially to our 4 children ages 10 years to 13 years. I would definitely recommend the Serena Hotels when travelling to Kenya.

EMMACULATE BARASA!!!! - What an awesome baby sitter. overall my experience over the 6 days spent here was wholesome and great, the rooms are spacious and clean, the best part was the shower and complimentary snacks :-). The fact that I was availed a gentle and caring baby sitter named Emmaculate blew me away. She paid attention to the details I shared with her about the baby from dietary to play schedule and other needs. My baby and I were very happy and cared for. Asante

folded around melon, wrapped around grissini, placed over pizza, heaped over salad. There's good reason for that: these salty, paper-thin slices of air-dried ham lift the taste of everything they accompany to a higher level. Monogram® Medium Duty Scouring Pads can take on any pot, pan or sink to make tough cleaning easy and are dishwasher-safe.

My second and certainly the last time of going to Serena for a lunch. On a positive side, location and ambiance are good. But 20+ minutes of waiting time for a bottle of water (my first visit) and a cappuccino (my second visit) is hard to explain! We were recommended a "huge" mixed meat platter that is "more than enough for two" (as it was graciously recommended and advertised by a waitress) - only to get two tiny drumsticks, two tinier chops and two mini sausages. One can only imagine look on our faces when we saw this "huge platter for two"! My partner had a masalla chips and ended up with very upset stomach for the remaining of the day and evening. All in all, nothing to write home about! I have much better and more memorable experiences from 3 star hotels... Sadly, the only 5 star thing one can get at the Serena Hotel is the price.

The Serena experience is awesome. The moment my husband and I entered through the very first gate we knew we were in the right place. The welcome by the exceptionally friendly staff, the charm and beauty of the rooms, the breakfast buffet with so many choices, and the location makes Serena the only hotel you should stay when visiting Nairobi. Congratulations to the manager for being so attentive to every detail. I cant wait to return to Nairobi with friends and family.

I had bad experience last year, I had a dinner next to the pool, I still remember that day til today! The food was horrible, cold, and taste funny. We tried to change the order but it turn into the same horrible taste. We tried to talk to the chef but no luck that make us leave without eating anything. Also the service was very slow, I highly don't recommend it!

Located right in the heart of Nairobi city, Serena Hotel is the perfect stay for any visitor who has their operations within a narrow radius of the Central Business District. They have good dining and conference facilities, not to mention a large ballroom with ample capacity for large gatherings, making it an ideal place for both local and international clients. Strongly recommended during your stay in Nairobi. Also, be sure to bundle this with a game drive at the Nairobi National Park, and you will have experienced the best Nairobi has to offer.

It was a delight to stay at Serena. For me, the principal aspect of any review starts with people and Serena can boast of an amazing staff. Two people that stood out were Beatrice (front desk) and Martin (reservation mgr). We had a few exceptional requests and they did their best to accommodate it. The other staff was also quite cordial, supportive and helpful. Apart from people, Serena maintains a top class standard, better than some of my experiences with NY hotels of similar grade, in amenities and overall customer service. As a vegetarian too, I was taken care of well. The bar had live music on a Friday night. There were a few other aspects that I liked - recommend you experience it on your own. Thanks Serena!

The service you provided was social, the waiters, chef, rooms all except the umbrellas at Axum bar.
As an Ethiopian man you don't have an idea how I was surprised.yet the umbrellas are extremely forbidden. They are used only at churches,so if you don't mid remove them.I will assist you to get traditional umbrelas
