We loved this discovery, in this reserve that you can cross on foot, boat or horseback, you meet both the familiar animals of Africa and you have never been so close to them. The animals live all year round in contact with Kenyan farmers who come to graze their herds, or who collect dead wood for their cooking or to make charcoal as well as fishermen who fish not far from the hippos, a real cultural dive. Full of beautiful encounters and emotions. A treat for the heart, the body and the mind.

Really nice surprise! We did not stay at the hotel but simply came in as visitors. You can walk around the grounds and see wildlife from up close. Great spot for photos too. One of our nicest memories in Kenya.

I chose to stay at Sanctuary Farm over Girraffe Manor during my trip to Kenya and it was worth every penny!! Not only was it plentiful with Girraffes, we saw hippos,Gazelles,Impala, A Fox, Buffalos,Hyenas, Wilderbeast and so much more. We had a kitchen, so we could make our own breakfast and there are so many dining options around so we'd go out to dinner. Miss Florence was always so helpful and Guy our host was so kind to come welcome us our first day. Thank You for the amazing experience Sanctuary Farm Check Out my Instagram @____sandy.m for more videos of my experience

What a treat, we loved this place! My family stayed in the Mabati house & loved it. Huge doors could open up so it felt like we were living in nature, except with all of the comforts of home. Florence was so helpful with my many questions prior to arrival. Felix greeted us upon arrival & made us feel right at home. He treated us to a night game drive and we saw so many hippo, fox, hyaena, & many other animals. The food is also delicious. The best part is that you can walk around the sanctuary & get close to so many animals without fear of predators. We absolutely loved getting so close to nature. We also loved the chance to milk cows & to hold the several week old puppies. Such a relaxing & gorgeous place. I wish I could stay for weeks!

Nice area with lots of very friendly and photogenic animals, which are not overly shy and nice to watch. We even saw an inch of hippo-back near the lake-shore. There were lots of dead trees on the shore - there were lots of floods during the last two years, the areal has suffered. Nevertheless the walk was very nice and relaxing, we had a very friendly guide, camping is also possible. From the bottom of my heart I recommend to stop there.

Place is beautiful, but the tours by boat are just horrible. Our guide " not gonna say the name " bought a fish for 50 chelines to the fisherman's. After that we asked how much did he paid and he answered 200 ( looking for tips, as always ). Then he introduced some foam inside the fish while it was still alive so it would float in order to the African fish eagle to catch it. Tourist attraction that just felt disgusting to me. Not even killing the fish, and obviously the foam pollutes the area ( really hope the eagle did not eat the foam ). Horrible attraction done for tourists with no brain.

A truly amazing place to stay. Surrounded by nature everywhere you turn. The staff were extremely attentive and the food at the Club House was excellent.

It's a great pathway to the lake and you will find the lovely animals at Crescent island at the park as well.

Enjoyed my time here for the day trip. Preferred this experience over visiting Nairobi national park (however i think I'm just not safari person). If going in a group the activities are cheaper as for example the boat is 3000, but shared among the persons on it. You can walk on your own or do the guided tour. I'd recommend doing the guided tour since the ranger took us to places and explained things i wouldn't have known on my own. You pay conservation fee at the gate and then add on anything else you might want to do.

A true hidden gem! We stayed at the Watch Tower for 3 nights but could easily have enjoyed ourselves at Sanctuary Farm for a full week. Great design, great food, great service. Waking up with the zebras and impalas on our doorstep was amazing! I highly recommended staying here.
